19/07/2026: Found almost by chance on Maps while visiting relatives in Canosa, this osteria was a wonderful surprise. We booked by phone, and it was a great move: there's not a lot of seating inside, and even though there are more tables on the main street, in the summer heat we decidedly preferred the inside, which is perfectly air-conditioned. There's no set menu here, but the host passionately explains the daily specials. We started with a selection of exquisite appetizers: about a dozen small selections, each one better than the last. Wanting to try a traditional first course, we were won over by the Strascinate di grano arso (a type of burnt wheat pasta) with zucchini flowers (local cucuzza greens): simply fantastic! Satisfied with the first courses and appetizers, we had to skip the second course and move straight to a delicious selection of local desserts. The house rosé wine was also excellent, and the amaro (a bitter bitter) definitely deserves a mention. The value for money is exceptional. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

18/04/2026: I went there for Easter Monday with friends. What can I say? The atmosphere was comfortable, like being at grandma's house. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was excellent and high-quality. The only downside was the smell of ash from the unlit fireplace. I'd suggest removing the burnt wood from the fireplace if it's not in use. But otherwise, everything was fine. Between courses, we went outside to soak up the sun at the outdoor tables. A unique experience, definitely worth repeating!

12/04/2026: The food is good, but the menu isn't very varied, there's very little to choose from, and above all, the prices are high compared to the actual product you get. Everything else is fine, except that they put our table in a dark corner near the bathroom.

The pizza is excellent as always, both takeout and served at the table. You've outdone yourself with that little hut on the street, very welcoming. I recommend this place to everyone. 09/06/2026: I'm from Lecce and was in Canosa di Puglia for work. I was drawn to the name of this steakhouse and decided to book without knowing it. I can say it was one of the best gastronomic experiences of my life. The owner took us on a true journey of taste, describing with passion and expertise every cut of meat and every dish served. The quality of the meat is simply extraordinary. I've been fortunate enough to eat at many excellent steakhouses, even in my area, but here I achieved what, for me, represents the pinnacle of excellence. There was a moment I'll never forget: while tasting one of the meats served, I found myself closing my eyes to better savor it. I'd never had this experience before in my entire life. In that moment, I knew this place undoubtedly deserved 5 stars. Everything was perfect: the quality of the ingredients, the cooking methods, the flavors, the service, and the attention to detail. Sincere compliments to the owner and all the staff, kind, knowledgeable, and capable of conveying their passion in every detail. It's quite a distance from Lecce to Canosa di Puglia, but I'll definitely return to experience this again, because meat like this is absolutely worth the trip. Truly well done. A excellence that deserves to be known and recognized. 👏🥩✨

14/05/2026: We arrived at this place by truck, searched the internet for a safe parking space and chose this one 🙂 We got very delicious and cheap food, so as Hungarians we got closer to the delicacies and hospitality of the Italian tradition 🙂 We were welcomed by a very kind owner and his team. 30/05/2026: A very welcoming and quaint establishment; from the first moment, the owner put us all at ease, even taking a few minutes to chat and laugh with us. Even though I wasn't in the best place for me (a vegetarian in a grill restaurant!), I didn't feel judged and, in fact, I really appreciated the effort he put into finding a solution that suited me, which obviously turned out to be excellent. The dishes are excellent quality, and it was a pleasant surprise to see the attention to detail, even with the appetizers. Even the bread, often discounted and underrated, was fresh and crispy. In any case, if the dishes were 5/5 stars, the owner's friendliness and warmth would have deserved at least another 10, because on Friday evening we not only ate well, but also had a wonderful evening thanks to him.
