29/09/2025: We came to Bari for a couple of days with some friends, we stopped at this bar for breakfast and everything was good, good and polite

28/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place while waiting for our train. It's a small, unassuming café that also sells tobacco, located in a neighborhood that's a bit rough around the edges, so frankly, we didn't expect much. But the moment we walked in, we were met with the warmest, most genuine welcome imaginable from the gentleman behind the counter. It was completely unexpected and truly made our day. While the coffee and pasticciotto were both very good, it was the incredible hospitality that made this place so memorable.

05/12/2025: I found it on Google Maps, was happy with the reviews, went there, and... it was closed... even though Google said it was open. Please, if you register on Google, keep it updated!

26/10/2025: We were in the area for work on Sunday and they welcomed us with class and kindness and we ate on trust because we hadn't ordered anything, one dish better than the other but above all a greeting to the waitress who remained in my heart 💓

04/01/2026: I have been a customer for over 7 years, every time I come on holiday, I go to this fishmonger where the staff, including Ms. Pina and Ms. Jurga, are very kind, impeccable and empathetic. Excellent fish quality. The gastronomy, excellent!.... I highly recommend!!!

12/08/2025: I was looking for a pizzeria with few customers waiting, and here I was served immediately. I ordered two takeout pizzas (many pizzas on the menu are priced higher than average). When I got home, I discovered that one pizza wasn't the one I ordered (luckily for me, the price was correct), and the other wasn't cooked enough. The ingredients were all stacked in the center, leaving most of the pizza untopped. I don't think I'll go back.

07/12/2025: Saturday evening, we booked a table for 10 at 8:30 PM, three days in advance. We arrived on time but had to wait for them to set up the table. We waited for our order until, by calling the staff's attention, we were able to place our order. At 11:00 PM, they started serving our pizzas... The only advice we can give the owner is to get some help because he can't simultaneously check the bill, pour beers, answer the phone, take orders, set up the tables, and, while he's there, churn out pizzas. P.S. Even the wrong orders and pizza... no comment. It wasn't our first time at this pizzeria, but we noticed that it had gotten worse, and by quite a bit. Let's ignore the service and the wait; it's a bad day, but the pizza has gotten worse, and other dishes weren't that great either.

30/07/2025: Location molto carina, nel cuore di un paesino che sicuramente merita una visita. Personale davvero gentile e disponibile, anche molto simpatico! Piatti ben eseguiti e che rispecchiano ricette tradizionali, non è il classico ristorante turistico! Piatti abbondanti e buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Nient’altro da aggiungere, fateci un salto se volete passare una bella serata e mangiare bene!

20/07/2025: Orribile! Personale incompetente, Cibo di scarsissima qualità con prezzi da stellato. Titolare che inveisce nei confronti dei dipendenti, urlando. Locale sconsigliatissimo, purtroppo non è possibile dare 0 stelle….o stalle.

Don’t let the alleyway and side entrance fool you — this place is incredibly spacious, with enough seating for even a large wedding party both inside and out. The atmosphere is charming, authentic, and full of character. The staff was amazing from start to finish — warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. There are plenty of options on the menu to suit just about anyone’s taste, and the fresh, handmade pasta dishes were outstanding. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. We ended up spending about two hours here while waiting out the rain, and never once felt rushed. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and soak in the experience. Highly recommend La Locanda del Gallo for a sit-down lunch, dinner, or even just a cold drink. Here’s a slightly more enthusiastic version too, in case you want it to sound even stronger: La Locanda del Gallo was an absolute gem. Don’t let the alleyway and side entrance fool you — once inside, you’ll find a beautiful, spacious restaurant with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The entire place has an incredibly charming and authentic feel. The staff was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The menu offers something for everyone, and the fresh homemade pasta was truly fantastic. You can taste the quality and care in every dish. We spent nearly two hours here waiting out the rain and felt completely comfortable the entire time. We were able to relax, enjoy our food and drinks, and never felt rushed for even a second. Whether you’re looking for a full lunch or dinner or just a cold drink in a welcoming atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

28/12/2025: They always have air conditioning issues (presumably due to the kitchen exhaust fan)... Reservations are recommended well in advance, as their products are very good and sell out quickly. I recommend dining in, however, as the pizza smell lingers on your clothes and hair.
