08/09/2025: A wonderful, authentic Italian restaurant that seems to be frequented only by regulars. Great dishes, delicious house wine, very friendly and attentive service, and reasonable prices. All the German restaurateurs currently complaining should really do an internship.

27/08/2025: A very quaint place, with fast and very friendly staff and excellent food (I recommend the Neapolitan pizza, the fried food, and the Spritz). I've been to Stresa twice and eaten here twice; it's best to make a reservation because it gets very busy.

20/08/2025: We organized dinner for my daughter's birthday. The place was very charming, with all the fairy lights creating a lovely atmosphere, and the food was excellent, with some sophisticated dishes. The only downside was the mosquitoes, which persist despite the treatments they apply.

19/08/2025: Beautiful location with a killer view. They were able to accommodate a completely vegan 3 course menu, which pleasantly surprised me as well! I got the tomato/cucumber/bell peper gazpacho as a starter, it was a lovely soup. As a second I got a plate of humus (surprise surprise) but it was very tasty and definitely home made! As the main I got one of the regular menu pastas without the creamy cheese. It was a little bland, but still tasty. For desert I had a strawberry sorbet (without alcohol) : absolutely delicious. The decaf coffee was also tasty. I would definitely recommend this place to other vegans. The meal was delicious and the view was the cherry on top. Thanks for the lovely service and experience!

08/09/2025: A wonderful discovery! The service was truly perfect, with the waiters being extremely kind and attentive without ever being intrusive. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, and the portions were just right. Being in Barolo's main square, the prices are slightly higher than average, but the quality/price ratio is excellent!

18/08/2025: How could I not begin with the name of the street, "Pastime Street": just reading it put me in a state of calm, of serenity. Here you eat grilled meat done as it should be, freshly made, by the expert hands of the chef who knows. And as we know, grilling takes time, the time that must pass between when you choose and when the creation is ready, not a minute too long, not a minute too short. The lady at the cash register, with a genuine and unassuming kindness, piqued our curiosity, told us the history of the complex, a former 18th-century convent, of which she showed us some delightful corners. My impression was that L'Establo is the brainchild of two dreamers who made a life choice more than 40 years ago, and visiting them is a chance to see how it turned out. It was a July evening, and as we left satisfied with our dinner, in the dark parking lot—one of the few remaining corners where the night is still dark—we were enchanted by the sight of a sky full of stars. Jokingly, and I hope the owners don't hold it against me, I've been tempted to nickname the place "Frittole." Those of us who are quite old like me will understand the reference. I can't wait to go back.

24/08/2025: The food was excellent, and the wait wasn't long. You can also eat outside, but I personally ate inside, and the atmosphere is very nicely decorated. It features fun and engaging writing and signs.
