04/07/2025: A beautiful family-run restaurant with over 70 years of history! We had a wonderful experience at Scilla — it was our first time, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Giuseppe, the son of the family business, served us with such kindness and professionalism. Five-star service all the way! The restaurant is very kid-friendly, and everything on the menu is delicious, especially the filetto allo scoglio, which we highly recommend. Thank you for the amazing experience!

03/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The food was poorly seasoned, and the fish was completely dry. It was the worst meal we've had in two weeks in Calabria. We prefer al dente, but the pasta from the primo was almost raw and barely chewable. The service was friendly. However, my husband had barely put down his fork and I was still eating when the plate was taken away.

25/06/2025: A peculiar place. From club sandwiches to restaurant dishes that are also quite sophisticated. However, this also means that you go from €30 to €100 for two people in an instant. A decent environment that is not exactly well-kept but clean and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it.

21/08/2025: Highly recommended restaurant. During our two stays in Florence, we ate here both times. It was very difficult to choose from the many delicious options, and I would have stayed longer in the city just for the food. We'll definitely stay. My wife had the Spaghetti allo scoglio and the Orechiette Pantarei. I had the Tortellini Ripieni di Pepso (delicious with the local beer La Sentenza) and the Tartare di manzo pantarei. As an appetizer, the polpette di baccala is highly recommended. It pairs well with the La Shrumata. The staff is friendly and professional.

20/08/2025: What a delicious dish! I've never had gnocchi with such a good tomato sauce, accompanied by shrimp, mussels, squid and clams. A delight, even the coffee! I recommend this menu.

06/09/2025: Found it by chance, on a Monday, when all the restaurants are closed. Almost by chance because I also double-check the reviews, but I don't look at the positive ones, but the negative ones. Over time, I've learned to spot the fake ones simply because the customer waited a few minutes or even a quarter of an hour and got annoyed. Personally, I believe that a restaurant is also a place to spend time, and if the food is excellent, even if you wait, you enjoy it even more. If you want cafeteria-style service, in Viterbo there's the Conad bistro, which is truly excellent—and I'm not kidding! But back to the restaurant. Beyond the courtesy and cleanliness, what struck me was the quality of the food, especially the mussels, for example. For the first time in many years, I've found them free of that bitter aftertaste, which perhaps indicates not a lack of quality but rather a lack of careful cleaning of the shells and fish that wasn't purged in clean water. Let's not forget that mollusks are "filters." And what about the fried food? Nothing, nothing, just one word: delicate! And I'd add dry and fried in fresh oil. And I'll stop there because the rest is truly a surprise! I'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu. It's not "extra long," which is a good thing, but it's very inviting. 02/09/2025: We spent €72 for two, eating a first course each, a second course each, water, and half a glass of local white wine. I'd say it's a bit high, considering they didn't give us a receipt. First and last time.

I find it absolutely unfair that my email reservation to spend a "SmartBox" gift was "forgotten," and I had to call 20 minutes before my scheduled arrival to be told there was no room. Disorganization, or bad faith. Thank you for ruining an evening.

10/08/2025: Every time I dine, it's a privilege for me. Savoring the humble dishes of Neapolitan cuisine is priceless. The owner, originally from Salento, enriches the menu with unique gastronomic dishes to stand out from the competition and surprise his regulars and passing customers. Today, June 1st, at 1:50 PM, I had the opportunity to preview one of his culinary inventions. As a true Neapolitan, I was "arricriato," a typical Neapolitan expression. "Enriched by Flavors and Soul"! Thank you for granting me this culinary opportunity! Pasta al dente, cherry tomatoes, grape segments, olive oil, and lots and lots of fish (freshly caught). All this while sipping a sparkling white wine. I also thank the staff. The waiter, Mr. S., who, in addition to serving, gallantly conversed admirably.... Now, it's time to savor a good ☕️....to let the alcohol fumes from the good grapes in the 🍷 vanish. Highly recommended.

Maestoso crudo di pesce, spaghettini alle arselle fresche fa-vo-lo-si, un buon dentice al forno con le olive e patate. Tutto freschissimo e ben presentato. Servizio ed atmosfera perfetti. Marcello, il proprietario, come se lo si conoscesse da sempre. Viviana, la chef, attentissima alle esigenze di ogni cliente, nel parlare dimostra tutto l' amore e passione con cui affronta il suo lavoro. Prepara piatti nei quali esalta i sapori di prodotti di altissima qualità. Esperienza molto positiva e che mi sento vivamente di consigliare.

28/07/2025: Spontaneous lunch here after a morning at the lake. It looked fancy so we were nervous about being in lake attire. We were welcomed though and seated inside (if you want to sit outside, reserve a table). Our goal was a quick pasta. A nice, appropriate menu plus an outside menu with in season plates. I love it! We ordered pasta. It was perfect. Cooked, flavored, and served beautifully. We also tried the sangria which was amazing, and potato starter. We enjoyed everything. The restaurant is clean and lovely with a great view. The staff was friendly; the owner was active and made a point to chat with every table. We did pay a hefty €80 for lunch but we agreed, it was worth it. We will definitely eat here again and recommend to others.
