02/11/2025: Overall, my experience at this restaurant was mixed. The appetizers were very good and carefully prepared, truly the highlight of the meal. The first courses, however, didn't convince me: in my case, the pasta with sauce (which was supposed to be with cardoncelli mushrooms and Norcia mushrooms) had a rather sweet and very liquid sauce, lacking the main ingredients. (The photo was taken after only three forkfuls; after that, I couldn't continue like the others.) The second courses were decent, well-cooked but without any particular distinguishing features. The service, however, was a bit slow: we were among the first to arrive but among the last to receive our second course, when many in the dining room had already finished. Another small note about the organization: when we booked, we were given the option of choosing dishes à la carte, but once we arrived, we were asked to choose the same first course for the entire table. This was understandable for organizational reasons, but it would have been better to clarify this upfront. Overall, a place with potential, but with some areas that could be improved.

02/11/2025: We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday with the family. It was a pleasant evening, with seafood and meat appetizers. I had also ordered a pizza, but then I saw a risotto and asked if it would be possible to exchange my pizza for a seafood risotto. Silvia, the waitress who looked after our table, was very courteous and accommodated my request. The service was impeccable, very attentive to everything. We will definitely be celebrating other anniversaries at Chalet del Sole.

07/10/2025: We've been to this little restaurant twice, so much so that we loved it. The location is very pretty, both inside and out. The first time we tried the fregola: delicious! The second time we opted for the porceddu (ordered the day before on the restaurant owner's recommendation) and a traditional cured meat platter: everything was exceptional! The suckling pig was incredibly tender and tasty 😋🐷🐖 Last but not least, the homemade seadas were exquisite! The best I've had during the holiday. The myrtle liqueur at the end of the meal was also excellent. Good value for money, the staff was super friendly, approachable, and also available to offer advice on recipes/places to visit. We'll be back soon and recommend it to everyone! 😁

30/09/2025: A splendid restaurant with a panoramic view in the San Teodoro area. We wanted to try the famous Sardinian suckling pig, and our guidebook recommended this restaurant. Indeed, we had a wonderful time. The suckling pig was fabulous, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, accompanied by quality side dishes and excellent wines. The service was courteous and professional. The chilled myrtle liqueur was a perfect end to the dinner.

03/09/2025: Fantastic, excellent cuisine, super fresh fish: I had spaghetti with clams (no tomato sauce), an incredible amount of super fresh clams. My wife had fish skewers and fried fish—a bit of both allowed, excellent. Then I had tiramisu, and my wife a mix of ciambellone and cherry tart. It brought a tear to my eye because both the pasta and desserts were just like my mom used to make 🥲 delicious, delicious, delicious! Highly recommended. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back. Very fair pricing.

01/09/2025: 2 hot and cold appetizers (but it was worth 1), a mixed fried fish dish, half a liter of house wine, and 1 coffee, €70. Too much for having eaten so little, and the clams were all closed.

22/10/2025: I was very happy to go there. There were new and creative dishes, and they were well-executed, but this time they were basic, and everything was very neutral, mild, and darling! I won't be back for now. I'll wait five months and then try again, hoping they understand that some seafood needs to be enhanced with seasoning. Not everything should be left to its own taste, which can be nauseating.

16/09/2025: Terrible. Spending two hours sitting at a table caused severe back and buttock pain! The benches should be covered with padded cushions! Terrible service. The grilled pieces of meat and salad were placed on the plates with a bare hand, as only one glove was used. Minimal portions and extremely high prices. A disabled person is not allowed in the restaurant, much less the bathroom, which, moreover, has very high steps that are dangerous even for able-bodied people.

06/10/2025: The food is good at a fair price. Granted, the restaurant isn't in the center of town and doesn't offer a great view, but the cuisine more than makes up for its lack of environmental appeal.

19/10/2025: It looks like a quiet restaurant, but it's actually a local favorite with a constant stream of people. Couscous and pistachio pasta! These dishes, encountered early in our trip, felt like appetizers to truly enjoy Sicilian cuisine on our future trips. You can fully experience the essence of local ingredients, so if you're nearby, give them a try. ^^

06/11/2025: A convivial fish restaurant with charming service, an appealing menu, and very good food. Fish/rice/pasta always comes in a fish-based version. Delicious! I especially loved the cool and wonderful service from Matteo💕, so if I had stayed longer, I would have come back again. Thank you for making my Taormina memories so good. 16/10/2025: The patio is perfect in the Fall with a mosaic of vines and grape leaves catching the light above you as you dine on the delicious dishes of Venice. The lobster risotto is something I dream about a month after returning to the states.

16/10/2025: The photo is of the shocking garlic bread that I paid for.. The vongole tastes better in Korea.. There was no dressing for the salad. They didn't even ask how the steak was cooked ㅋㅋㅋ I felt like we were being discriminated against. We ate it because we were hungry, but the garlic bread really crossed the line. They gave us the receipt and subtly asked for a 20% tip. Ha, I was so pissed^^ I left without giving it. I went there because it was close to my accommodation, but I'm writing a review with great regret.

10/09/2025: A remarkable restaurant. It's certainly very "touristy" and geared toward foreign customers, but that doesn't mean it's not also suitable for a discerning Italian clientele, and that's precisely what's surprising. The menu is worthy of a postal market catalog... there's truly everything, complete with realistic photos of the various dishes, including fish, meat, pizzas, and all sorts of specialties, as well as excellent desserts. We ate there two nights in a row and tried various dishes. Let's just say the food is good, even though there's no absolute specialty; you can try a bit of everything. The pizzas are good, although perhaps not as good as the more renowned pizza-only pizzerias. But this isn't a pizzeria, but a much larger and more comprehensive restaurant. Service is lightning-fast: even though it's crowded, the organization leaves no room for hesitation or mistakes. Prices are reasonable.

10/09/2025: First things first: The best seafood in and around Caldonazzo!!! In addition to really good pizzas, Rivera also offers fantastic seafood like mussels, etc. The service is really friendly and fast. Special requests are also accommodated here. Great restaurant!!! We'd love to go back!
