01/02/2025: In posizione non proprio centrale di S.Teodoro (ma comunque a due passi dal centro), merita sia per le pizze (buonissime e ben farcite) che per le altre proposte: davvero ottime le cozze, con un'ampia varieta' di preparazioni (alcune davvero originali). Prezzi nella media. Personale disponibile, gentile e simpatico. Ottimo il rapporto qualita'-prezzo. Ambiente tranquillo e rilassato. Consigliato!

18/09/2024: I have to give only one star because the restaurant is closed and no one bothered to update this status on Google, which instead always reports it as open. I went the other evening, they kindly pointed out to me that they didn't serve dinner, and while I was eating at the nearby restaurant, which was excellent and provided extremely kind treatment, I had to attend a private dinner right at the Baretto. Maybe we should be a little more clear with customers, because being bounced elsewhere with a few words crossed and then attending a private banquet, which is also very noisy, is not the best. Sin.

08/09/2024: Another excellent dinner at il Baretto. Thank you again. The spaghetti with violet shrimp and bottarga was and is perhaps one of the best pasta dishes I've ever enjoyed. Delicious croaker (think sea bass), tempura seafood, and tuna tartare. Highly recommended. Thank you 🙏🏼 💙

La serata è iniziata con un aperitivo in terrazza, accompagnato da una vista suggestiva e un'accoglienza impeccabile. Il menù "Primavera d'autore" è stato un'esperienza culinaria straordinaria. Ogni piatto, curato nei minimi dettagli, ha saputo stupirci con ingredienti ricercati e abbinamenti inediti, sorprendenti e perfettamente equilibrati. L’armonia dei sapori e la bellezza delle presentazioni parlano di una cucina creativa, consapevole e profondamente ispirata. L’abbinamento dei vini, selezionati e spiegati con grande competenza da un sommelier preparatissimo, ha esaltato ogni portata, creando un percorso sensoriale completo e coerente. 16/03/2025: Very nice, romantic, very nice place. The garden at the entrance is very well kept. From the garden and the fortress you can see a beautiful panorama, green hills, a pond and fairy-tale houses. The Fortress can be reached along a pedestrian street. It's just a shame that during this period the local shops are closed, including the ice cream shop. Anyway worth visiting.

27/01/2025: Abbiamo prenotato con le migliori intenzioni: pranzare a base di pesce in uno dei migliori ristoranti disponibili sul nostro tragitto, a prezzi ragionevoli. L'esperienza è stata un pò diversa. Nei paccheri con spada e melanzane il pesce si limitava a tre pezzetti piccoli. I due nostri primi piatti erano chiaramente meno abbondanti di quelli serviti nella tavola accanto alla nostra, dove diversi commensali erano persone della zona, evidentemente conosciute al ristorante. Discorso analogo per il secondo a base di sogliola: il cuoco che ce l'ha proposta ci ha mostrato una sogliola lunga 35/40 cm., di non più di 500 grammi di peso a crudo, da deliscare. E infatti nel piatto le nostre porzioni erano meno di 150 grammi ciascuno. Ma a conti fatti il peso che ci è stato fatturato è stato di 950 grammi. È sufficiente fare una breve ricerca online per rendersi conto che una sogliola non supera i 400/500 grammi di peso. La nostra impressione - e ripeto: è una mera impressione - è stata di aver pagato di più di quello che avremmo dovuto pagare. Forse la loro bilancia era guasta ... 😁 Io e mia moglie facciamo la spesa tutti i giorni e spesso acquistiamo i filetti di sogliola o di branzino, perfettamente consapevoli del peso di ogni filetto. Insomma, non è piacevole essere trattati in questo modo per il solo fatto di essere turisti di passaggio. Sulla qualità del pesce nulla da eccepire: era fresco e ben cucinato. Ma nulla di più e di meglio di come avremmo saputo cucinarlo a casa. Insomma, un pranzo senza infamia e senza lode, ma costato sicuramente il 25-30% in più di quanto abbiamo pagato per esempio a Scilla (in un altro ristorante) con la medesima qualità ma con una cucina che abbiamo apprezzato di più per l'originalità e la fantasia che il cuoco ha saputo dimostrare.

22/03/2025: Inizio con il dire che già solo la location ne vale andarci. Poi l'accoglienza dei proprietari fa da contorno, tutto buonissimo, la materia prima top, poi pranzare con una vetrata vista mare è sublime. Il prezzo è in linea con la qualità. Lo consiglio fortemente.

02/01/2025: Tuvimos nuestra boda después de la fiesta en Astragalo, que es el gran (y creo que el único) club en la zona a poca distancia y aunque fue divertido perdimos una gran cantidad de dinero aquí y nos encontramos con un montón de frustración con este establecimiento. Absolutamente NO recomendaría este establecimiento si es que es evitable, lamentablemente ofrecen una de las únicas experiencias de club en la zona y aprovechan al máximo a sus clientes porque saben que pueden. Originalmente queríamos celebrar nuestra cena de bienvenida aquí en Astragalo, además de nuestra fiesta después de la fiesta y poner un pago inicial por ello porque Astragalo nos presionó, pero cuando llegamos allí para el paseo estaba en muy mal estado y aunque es un restaurante con buenas críticas, es principalmente un club y tiene un aspecto cansado a la luz del día que ocultan expertamente en fotos. Nos dijeron por correo electrónico que podíamos tener la cena en cualquier lugar, pero cuando llegamos la mujer comenzó a decir que prácticamente todo no era posible, la única opción era que nos sirvieran comida en una zona que quería que estuviéramos (dentro en banquetes de vynal rasgado en una tumbona con ventanas sucias y sin vista). Las mujeres fueron extremadamente difíciles y desagradables... este es su organizador de eventos interno. Ella no habla inglés, que era difícil porque claramente no estaba feliz de que no hablábamos italiano, y fue brutal con nuestro organizador de bodas que sí hablaba italiano. Todos nos sentamos allí mientras la mujer hablaba largo y tendido durante 5 minutos en cada respuesta, apenas tomando un respiro entre sus frases y haciendo gestos expresivos mostrando / diciendo que estaba demasiado ocupado, sobrecargado de trabajo, tarde, molesto, y en general infeliz, mientras que nuestro organizador de bodas hizo todo lo posible para apaciguarla y tratar de hacer todo lo posible para aligerar su estado de ánimo, que simplemente no fue posible al final. No todo es culpa de esta mujer que claramente estaba muy ocupada y aparentemente molesta por una lista de razones, el establecimiento y sus trabajadores saben que la gente quiere ir a su club y actúan como si tuvieran todo el poder para hacer lo que quieran por eso. Cuando decidimos no hacer la fiesta de bienvenida allí después de esta primera impresión realmente mala y se negaron a devolvernos nuestro depósito de más de $ 1.000 y luego también nos hizo pagar más miles de $ para tener una mesa detrás de la cabina de DJ y una habitación separada con aperitivos de medianoche. No nos dejaron transferir el dinero que ya les pagamos para este fin. estábamos muy molestos pero al final del día no pudimos hacer nada al respecto porque afirman que el depósito $ fue separado y ahora tenemos que pagar por todo lo demás por la suma que exigieron por esos servicios separados. El costo de las cosas tampoco parecía establecido para todos, pero es probable que se incrementaron para nosotros después de que esto sucedió (aunque no tenemos pruebas de ello). Los bocadillos eran geniales y pudimos saltarnos la fila que era enorme, pero tuvimos problemas con extraños que entraban en nuestra habitación privada para comer nuestros bocadillos, y cuando llegamos al club no dejaron que toda nuestra fiesta fuera detrás de la cabina de DJ (solo 12 ppl a la vez) y se volvió tan frustrante con ellos no dejar que la gente fuera y viniera y diciendo que teníamos demasiada gente que básicamente todos nos mudamos a la habitación privada para tomar un respiro y luego no nos dejaron volver a la cabina de DJ que pagamos (ni siquiera 12 personas solamente) , y se lo dieron a otra persona, probablemente cobrando el precio completo de nuevo a otra persona. En resumen, debes tener cuidado con este establecimiento, es una práctica turbia y acaparamiento de dinero que aprovecha al máximo a sus clientes. Pasamos un buen rato bailando entre ser acosados por los guardias de seguridad y organizador de eventos, pero perdimos mucho dinero y ganamos MUCHA frustración, ellos intentarán exprimirte todo el dinero posible y retenerte servicios, no una empresa o gente en la que confiar si puedes evitarlo.

02/03/2025: Amazing food and service, the best restaurant we found in the 10 days we were here. Nice local produce and food cooked perfectly with very reasonable prices. We ended up going 3 times but wished it was more. Will definitely go back if we ever come back to the area.

07/04/2025: Structure just outside the city center, with convenient parking. Well cared for, characteristic and I would say romantic. Good food, especially the pizzas. Alas, the desserts are a sore point... I tried them all, including the one of the day, when it was available, and not a single one was saved. I won't spend €7 for a poor dessert anymore, the rest of the prices are average for the area. Courteous and fast service, sometimes waiters a little confusing and a little too zealous in clearing the table... you're chewing the last bite and the plate disappears!

06/04/2025: Very welcoming and romantic location, an ancient renovated mill that maintains characteristic details. We have been many times, for lunch, for dinner and tonight for the first time for an aperitif and it is always my favorite place! Finally an aperitif with a capital A, chosen from different cocktail/wine combinations and various appetizers, in particular I recommend the aperitif, very rich, it also includes a taste of the dish of the day. Very good service, discreet and courteous, especially the girl who was there tonight. Until next time!

20/09/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante domenica 15/9 io e mia moglie dopo aver visitato il Castello di Angera. Purtroppo non ci siamo trovati bene. Dopo avere ordinato il vino che non c'era x ben 2 volte, Abbiamo optato per una bottiglia della sicilia. Molto buona devo dire. Ci hanno chiesto 3 volte se volevamo dell'acqua e gentilmente abbiamo declinato con la promessa che se ci fosse venuta sete l'avremmo chiesta noi. Come primo il raviolo con pesce di lago. Fatto a mano sicuramente ma senza carattere e senza un pensiero dietro, con una salsa di pomodoro che spegneva i pochi sapori. Il fritto non era fatto male, ma erano quasi tutte verdure e pochissimo pesce; un errore o un piatto furbo? Mia moglie non è riuscita a mangiare le verdure grigliate in quanto le melanzane erano crude. La cameriera ci ha chiesto se non ci erano piaciute e abbiamo detto che non sapevamo se erano buone o no perché erano crude e quindi non mangiabili. Le abbiamo chiesto gentilmente di segnalarlo in cucina. Delusi dopo avere pranzato chiediamo il conto: dove abbiamo dovuto farci togliere l'acqua che non avevamo preso, e le verdure grigliate non ci erano state tolte. 113,00 euro. La prossima volta da quelle parti andremo a mangiarci una pizza. Peccato perché la location merita.

29/08/2024: The room had a wonderful view of the lake, was clean and very spacious. The bathroom was also large, bright and had many kits for any type of forgetfulness or emergency (for example the sewing kit or the one with toothbrush and dental floss). The room was also equipped with a TV with Sky services and air conditioning. We also had the opportunity to have dinner at this hotel using a previously purchased smartbox and were pleasantly surprised: the food was excellent especially the fish which we felt was fresh. The staff was welcoming, helpful and thanks to this we felt at home.

24/09/2024: Wow... how Michelin screwed up the reporting here! We had dinner with the family with the expectation of drinking well - being a wine bar - and eating equally well. Unfortunately both experiences were disappointing. Being a wine shop, in fact, when asked "what wine do you recommend we drink and pair with what we have had?" obviously the waitress's response is surprising: "But I brought you the wine list, what do I know, a red, a rosé!". Equally embarrassing was the moment of choosing the second course: having ordered the cut, the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked. I replied that I liked it medium-rare, receiving - in a rude tone - the reply "either it's medium or it's rare". The same rudeness was expressed when I said that medium-rare cooking exists and that I simply liked it more rare but not really raw. In the end the cut arrived to me well cooked, therefore far from what I had requested and above all not allowing me to enjoy the cut (already very thin and whose price of almost €25 is unjustified). Certain errors can be allowed in a restaurant that does not boast the Michelin recommendation. The service was inattentive and rude, the food I would not recommend, and the bill for dinner was excessive. The only positive note is the location of the terrace under the olive trees.
