15/07/2024: Vi boede meget tæt på på en vingård og vi blev enig om at prøve stedet en af de første dage, med den bagtanke at hvis den var områdes bedste restaurant ville vi nok spise der ofte. Vi ankom uden at have bestilt bord men det var ikke et problem, vi fik et bord med den mest fantastiske udsigt, man glemte helt at bestille. Vi valgt to forskellige forretter og to forskellige hovederetter. Alle retterne var flot anrettet og smagte rigtigt lækkert. Vi bestilte vin i glas både til alle retterne som passede perfekt til maden. Vores tjener denne aften var venlig og meget kompetent. Vi kommer gerne igen inden ferien slutter.

28/07/2024: The food was delicious, the atmosphere in the restaurant was not bad, there was not enough fresh air, it was too stuffy to sit outside, in such places they install fans or humidifiers. I didn’t like the service, there is no menu in English, it’s absolutely not clear what you’re ordering... several items that were not ordered were added to the bill. When I noticed this, they grinned and said ok, we’ll delete it now, without even apologizing afterwards... we ordered wine, it wasn’t there, they offered something similar, and in the end it was double the price!!! It’s sad that it took so long to get to this particular restaurant, but apparently the expectations were too high, there’s nothing to note...

27/06/2024: In a renovated historic environment we enjoyed an excellent dinner accompanied by excellent wine, welcomed and looked after with competence and professionalism by the owner and his staff We can't wait to return Thanks from Verona Carlo and Letizia Casato

09/07/2024: We wanted to try the Sardinian specialties, and we were very satisfied. The mixed starter and suckling pig were excellent, and the seadas were excellent. Special mention (even if it is not a Sardinian specialty) to the calamarata, nothing short of sensational. Very pleasant house white wine. The bill goes up if you don't take pizzas, but the prices have the right relationship with the quality. There is. If you want to spend little there are all you can eat options

30/06/2024: They found a place for us even without a reservation and we arrived around 9pm. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent pizza but also local dishes. Recommended if you pass by NEIVE!!

12/08/2024: Laura and Monti, the owner, are very nice and polite, the same for the whole Staff. You feel like at home! Good quality restaurant as well!!! Thank you very much, I will surely come back 😊

17/06/2024: Kind and attentive staff. Delicious and aesthetically beautiful dishes. Cozy place. The menu has several options for vegetarians. I recommend tasting the cheeses (found on the dessert list). A tasting appetizer is offered. NB: you have to ring the bell to access and go down the stairs so I don't think there is disabled access.

19/05/2024: Warm and welcoming place that presents an excellent menu of Piedmontese dishes. The owner is very kind and nice! The homemade breadsticks that are brought along with the bread are very good. I opted for the €45 tasting menu which featured generous courses and served with care and creativity. The wine list is also excellent. Definitely a place worth returning to. Recommended if you are passing through Roddi or surrounding areas.

17/08/2024: What a wonderfully cool place to have lunch... during our cycling holiday from Onderweegs we came across Osteria Umberto. The salad with pear, tomato cheese, honey and celery was a big 10, delicious, then the ravioli with truffle was so delicious. Enjoyed very nice service

16/08/2024: I think it's quite difficult to find a place where you don't eat well in these areas... anyway we had a good time at Umberto's... traditional dishes and obviously a very extensive wine list...

27/06/2024: A quiet and delicious Sunday lunch. We ate in this place looking for a place in the area where we could enjoy some typical dishes and we left satisfied. The owner is very kind and knows what she's doing, you can see she has passion. The vitello tonnato was amazing and the desserts make you find space in your stomach even if you're already full!

13/06/2024: Super recommended place! We stopped on a Sunday for lunch, excellent choice! The staff is super friendly and kind, the food is excellent with typical products from the Langhe. If I were to return, definitely a mandatory stop!

21/07/2024: 1. They are slow: allow 40/45 minutes between one course and another. 2. Rude and arrogant staff (at least the person who served us): no comments are allowed, the waitress will be grumpy as I have never experienced in a restaurant. 3. Mediocre food and nothing exceptional The only positive note: the nice location.

18/08/2024: A great pizzeria with an incredibly nice team. We picked up pizza and received a very friendly welcome. The pizza and desserts were excellent. Next time we will definitely eat in the restaurant too.

18/08/2024: We went to Angelo and Eleonora's place, the passion for their work can be felt and seen in everything, at the moment we tasted the pizza that you create yourself, very good, excellent dough and quality raw materials, you can indulge yourself by adding everything you you want, excellent and original idea. At the end of the meal we tasted the selection of bitters/liqueurs they produce, there too we found excellent quality with an original presentation Congratulations and thanks for a lovely evening, we will return to taste the rest.

05/08/2024: Fantastic food and cozy atmosphere. We felt very welcome: all our questions about food were answered with patience and we got great wine advice. Speedy and attentive personal. Owner came by and asked if all is in order to each table. No need to explain much, just tell that we had to return twice to indulge ourselves with truffle tartar, Tajarin noodles with ragu! Dessert recommendation : goat milk ice cream and hazelnut cake. Although you could find pretty same menu in majority of the restaurants at this area ( we did try many out), RossoBarolo is our top choice. Hope to return back soon.

02/08/2024: Restaurant review, did not stay at the hotel. Indoor space and terrace, very nice atmosphere. Comfortable and nice, especially the terrace at the back. Food was very good, portions are relatively small. The goat cheese ice cream was extremely good (homemade). Friendly staff and fast service. Staff spoke a surprising amount of languages. Did not need a reservation.

06/08/2024: Many thanks to the staff for the warm welcome at a late hour (we arrived to meet friends a few minutes before closing) special thanks to the chef, who achieved great results with his work. everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. interesting, unusual dishes, cozy, home-like atmosphere. at the end we received pantettone as a gift (it was incredibly delicious) if possible, we will come back again!

10/08/2024: We had 2 delicious lunches at La Duchessa , including large, fresh salads and delicious pasta. The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating. Their wine by the glass was selected with care. The outdoor patio area is ideal for a casual meal. We’ll happily return again next time we’re in Alba.

28/06/2024: Gastvrouw is erg aardig maar het eten is ronduit slecht! Geen smaakbeleving. Porties zijn veel te groot zeker als ze niet lekker zijn. Betere kok zou wonderen kunnen doen voor het restaurant.

08/08/2024: Weekend for concert in Monforte in Jazz; we had dinner, stayed overnight and had breakfast on Sunday at Felicin's. We were given a free room upgrade: in the "historic residence" a suite with two rooms (even though there were two of us) with period furniture and a splendid view - including a balcony - of the Langa landscape. On Saturday afternoon we were able to use the swimming pool of the nearby Palazzo Boeri (5 minutes walk) Excellent dinner, delicious wines, excellent breakfast with cheeses and other local products, omelettes etc. All the staff were very kind and attentive. We have already speculated when to return, even without the excuse of attending a concert! You can feel the care for hospitality. Thank you very much to Nino and to all the collaborators.

20/07/2024: Cena in coppia come di abitudine, il luogo è veramente notevole con una vista molto importante. Cenato all’esterno accompagnati da un tramonto da brividi. Ma veniamo ai piatti: tagliolini da urlo, peccato che forse il ragù non gli rendesse l’onore che meritano, chiocciole niente male e per finire gianduiotto SUPER, vino ok ( ma ve lo dico a fare…..), servizio veloce e molto cordiale. Unico intoppo alla serata all’atto del pagamento grazie alla rete informatica di cui immortaliamo ci possiamo fregiare l’attesa si è prolungata per un po’ ma ecco che il personale con un apprezzato “coupe de teatre “ per ringraziarci della pazienza ci ha fatto un graditissimo omaggio che gusteremo quanto prima. In definitiva? Da ripetere, BRAVI TUTTI.
