19/05/2025: If rustic quality is what you are after, and a deviation from pasta etc, this restaurant meets the requirements. We were first there on a Monday night (when many restaurants are closed) and promptly seated, thinking we would be the lone diners for the evening. We were wrong. Within half an hour the place was full. And the food, service (thanks Giancarlo) and prices did not disappoint. We shared the risotto special, which was made with Bra sausage, and it was superb- great taste and very filling despite being shared. For the main meal we ordered the lamb cutlets with lentils and the wild boar. Seriously, the flavours were incredible, both served with mash and peas. Great comfort food which was much needed after 6 weeks away from home! Wine options were also solid, including half bottles for some varieties. If you are craving home style cooking in Barolo, this is the place.

21/05/2025: On Saturday, May 17, we celebrated our son Mattia's First Communion and everything was perfect. Excellent welcome, as well as the service and quality of the food. Super clean and fresh environment. The owners and staff were helpful and friendly, we had a really good time. For us, "La Borsarella" was a pleasant discovery; we booked trusting the many positive reviews and the beauty of the place and the location and I must say that we hit the mark! For those who love elegance and refinement, I highly recommend booking.

27/04/2025: My review is for the restaurant. I come to Alba for wine every year and lunch with them completes the special day. The menu features traditional local foods. The excellent quality and courtesy complete the pleasure of lunch. I've never eaten the vitello tonnato as good as they do in Piedmont while traveling around. I also recommend it for the quality/price ratio.

25/05/2025: 05/25/25 Great experience at Io e Luna, we had the opportunity to have breakfast with Davide's leavened products and we promised ourselves to return to taste his cuisine, everything was perfect the location the service and the excellent cuisine, the ending with a very welcome surprise for my birthday we will return soon. No stars are needed when everything is perfect 🤩

06/04/2025: È da tanti anni che vengo in questo ristorante ed è sempre un piacere per il palato. Oggi ancor di più anche per la vista dopo la ristrutturazione del locale. Alfonso in cucina e Francesco ed Ela in sala sono sempre super accoglienti. Il cibo è di ottima qualità e preparato con cura in cui la napoletanità si mescola con la cucina del territorio. Anche l’offerta dei vini è di altissimo livello con numerosissime etichette.

31/03/2025: If you go twice for lunch in less than 5 days, I think we can conclude we like this place! Napoli inspired (if I remember well?) where I made had the best meatballs ever, accompanied by an extensive Champagne (and wine) list! Definitely a place to go back to in the future!

06/05/2025: Let's start with two undeniable points: beautiful location, incredible wine cellar... However the cuisine was a personal great disappointment. I'll try to explain: excellently executed dishes, well presented, but from such a famous, award-winning restaurant, I would have expected that something extra that was missing. Known and unknown flavours, no innovation, no twist in taste. No note of surprise, flat lunch. Service maybe a little slow, but overall good. On a side note: their ice cream is really really good.

04/05/2025: Very noble and very renowned. Maybe too much. Nothing to say about the quality of the raw materials. I was a little disappointed by: Chef who comes out of the kitchen and goes to greet only two tables (they were acquaintances) ignoring everyone else... not very courteous I would say. A continuous coming and going of waiters throughout the room which made the environment less than relaxing (at least 6/7 between waiters, sommelier, room manager, a continuous coming and going that I don't appreciate much) A course requested due to an intolerance was served with only 1 side dish while the one on the menu had 3... it's not so pleasant to see your dish without alternatives while your friends' dish has everything. This has never happened to me in other restaurants of the same level (even in non-starred ones they take care not to make those who cannot eat certain things feel "different...) In short, spending €250 each, I expect a little more attention, which is not given by the sommelier who pours the wine into my glass.... Furthermore, some dishes did not impress me at all.

02/05/2025: Spectacular. Excellent raw materials. Top preparation between tradition and innovation. There are also fish dishes on the menu which I haven't tried. The pasta (agnolotti, tajarin etc) is homemade, as are the sauces. Excellent meats. Even the raw one. It's worth the stop.

01/06/2025: We celebrated a hen party for lunch. The location is taken care of in every detail and the staff was efficient and professional. A special thanks goes to the Sommelier Vins, who was always attentive and present in following us throughout the lunch. The chef delighted us. The food was excellent. Some dishes were from Campania cuisine and I must say that they exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return for a romantic lunch or dinner.

29/05/2025: Just one word EXCELLENT! We were at this location only for lunch, we did not have the pleasure of staying in the hotel. From the service, to the staff, to the dishes that they proposed and presented to us, all 5 senses were fully satisfied. Each course was a journey of unique aromas, colors and flavors. Pampered, revered and spoiled, an experience that I hope to repeat soon

02/05/2025: Terrible experience. We strongly advise against it due to the hypocrisy of the pricing policy. We chose 2 plates of spaghetti and we were told that instead of €19 each they would cost €30 each, as indicated in a small note on the menu, as they were considered single dishes per person (unless you additionally ordered other dishes including starters or main courses). So if you only want one dish per person it costs almost double...even though they are the same. We inform the staff that we intend to leave the facility by paying for water and covers. In order to keep us, they told us that we would have paid the menu price for the two spaghetti (€19). Total hypocrisy. In the end, despite my insistence on paying for both water and covers (already used), they were kind by not charging us anything. This change in policy in the face of the loss of two customers is embarrassing to say the least. Absolutely friendly staff and very nice place... Cuisine not tested because we left the facility, but shocking pricing policy.

26/04/2025: It was our first approach to the Langhe and it definitely impressed us. The food was fantastic and the service no less. The two girls who followed us were very kind and prepared, making our experience truly special. We happened on a sunny day so we took advantage of the beautiful terrace which has a wonderful view. We recommend for sure!
