22/10/2024: We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the San Carlo. The hotel is cozy and clean. In the evening we had an outstanding “Tartufo Experience” menu. You can tell how much love and appreciation goes into cooking here. The ingredients were local and fresh, everything was beautifully prepared and served with a top wine recommendation. Paola and Carlo are warm hosts, you immediately feel welcome and in good hands.

17/02/2025: We took a very short family vacation in Carloforte and we found THE TOP! The “Residenza al Castello” has only positive points: spacious, bright and very clean room, equipped with all comforts and with 2 panoramic balconies! The structure is very close to the center, reachable on foot in a few minutes! The owner Anna Carla gave us all the useful information for a truly pleasant and high-level stay and she was extraordinarily kind, helpful and professional! Another absolutely positive point is that this structure was open in low season (February), while many local structures are closed in the same period! In short: highly recommended experience and structure! Too bad I can't give more stars! Alex, Carla, Enrico

28/03/2025: Anche se da fuori non sembra neanche un ristorante, dentro ha un’ampia sala con travi a vista. La signora è molto gentile ed accogliente e… cucina divinamente! Subito pane caldo e salame si tagliere da affettare a km0… per seguire maltagliati burro ed erbette e bocconcini di pollo alla livornese (con i peperoni), tutto delizioso. Prezzo veramente ottimo: 12€ con acqua vino e caffè! Da andarci assolutamente!

02/06/2025: I went to Punto Amico for lunch with a group of 20 people visiting Alba. The owner managed our group perfectly. Punto Amico offers a very good quality/price ratio and the possibility of a complete and rich lunch in a short time and giving flexibility of choice even for large groups. I highly recommend it!

28/03/2025: Il 28 marzo, ospite di un' amica di Moretta, ho potuto assaporare una "fiorentina" di Piemontese "eccezionale" lo dico come uno che si occupa di carni bovine da oltre 50 anni, bravi complimenti!!!

17/03/2025: Splendido ristorante, sia per il dehors composito (utilizzato anche come caffetteria), sia per gli interni (il soffitto affrescato del salone principale, la sobrietà pulita dell'altra saletta, i bagni, l'ingresso). Staff gentilissimo, sebbene non sempre organizzato. Parcheggio abbondante, nei dintorni. Livello della cucina eccelso: considerando i 3 euro di coperto, vi portano gratis 3 amuse-bouche, di cui due buonissimi (con barbabietola e salsa d'acciughe; con gorgonzola e mousse di spinaci). Il pane è notevole. La focaccia, spettacolare. Aggiungete che le stoviglie sono di stoffa, l'ambiente è raffinato, e capirete perché il coperto a 3 euro è un regalo. Passiamo ai piatti. Il tortino di verdure con fonduta e crema di zucca (abbinamento geniale e molto efficace!), suddiviso in due (2 euro di supplemento: occhio), costa 14 euro ed è favoloso. L’abbondante risotto (17 euro) con aglio nero e marmellata di frutti di bosco (!), con burro, crema di frutti di bosco e Castelmagno, è perfettamente bilanciato. Buoni (ma qui 17 euro sono troppi) anche i tajarin fatti in casa (troppo pochi!) con salsiccia (moltissima) e porri. Calici quasi tutti dai 7 euro in su, ma di qualità. Dolci costosetti anch’essi: meliga con (moltissimo) zabajone al moscato, euro 8,50 (l’avremmo preferito freddo, però). Abbasserei dunque un pochino i prezzi. Per il resto, top.

28/02/2025: My ABSOLUTE favorite pizza In the province, book if you want to find a place because (unfortunately fortunately) more and more people are discovering it and returning regularly. It's the only pizzeria where I get the 4 cheeses: tasty, well garnished but at the same time very light = top quality ingredients!

12/01/2025: Despite living in Valle Varaita, I had never been to Malcontenta. I had a great time, I was served with great kindness and care; The attention given to my gluten intolerance was very welcome! Advised ! Go and visit Laghi and Staff ❤️

06/05/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant with my girlfriend. The restaurant has two internal rooms and a small internal courtyard which can be used with the onset of summer. The menu is written on a blackboard; there are very few proposals, 3 starters, 3 first courses and 3 second courses. Very slow service, it took a good 20 minutes to take the order. There is no wine list for the wine but you have to get up and go and look in the cellar where the prices are marked with a tag hanging from the neck of the bottle... definitely not comfortable getting up when you are in company. However, both the dishes and the wine arrive first and among the confusion arrives when we have finished the starter. The quality of the dishes is of medium quality, the service, although friendly, is very slow. Price for what was eaten was decidedly high. I'm sorry because seeing the other reviews I probably had a bad night.

06/05/2025: I went to this place for my brother's wedding lunch and I must say that I had a great time. Friendly staff and good music and great service. All the dishes were beautiful to sell and delicious to eat. It's nice to return to Piedmont and be welcomed so warmly. Cleanliness of the rooms and lots of joy. I had a lot of fun and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It felt like home. The next time I return to Piedmont I will definitely stop to eat here again. I had a great time thanks for the wonderful day we spent.
