La Cantinetta In Barolo

The food, service and location were great. They could recommend us nice wine, the restaurant was very nice inside and very cozy outside and they are located in the middle of the village. The service was very polite and nice. But of course the food was very good. This is where you have to go when you are in Barolo.

On our honeymoon we visited the Langhe and looking for a Risotto al Barolo we fell there in Barolo town, we ate a spectacular raw minced meat (from the famous Fasona Breed) and a Risotto with Radicchio al Barolo whose flavor will remain wonderfully in our memory I think our whole life, even more so accompanied by (and of course) a magnificent Barolo wine from the cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo. Autumn tasting weekend with my boyfriend. After wandering around the various villages of the Langhe we decide to have something typically Piedmontese for dinner near the Our hotel in Barolo. We took An exceptional mushroom risotto accompanied by a nice glass of Barolo and to finish a bonette that was out of this world, the All at affordable prices. Furthermore, the welcoming and silent environment, accompanied by the kindness of the staff, made this culinary experience pleasant and even more romantic. Advised!

Our obligatory stop when we are in Barolo. Delicious food and great wines. Low price and very friendly service. WE LOVE !!!

Visited last June An excellent dinner in this family-run restaurant, characterized by a warm atmosphere and genuine and authentic flavours. We had dinner starting with an egg-based appetizer: imagine a perfectly cooked egg placed inside a sheet of homemade pasta. The result deserves a standing ovation! We then continued with sublime Plin ravioli with butter and sage (me) and tajarin with ragout (my partner). My dish is truly fantastic and reminds me of real homemade pasta hand-rolled as only my mother can do! Then we shared an excellent plate of boneless quail in Barbera, truly excellent. Finally, I ended with a good tasting of cheeses and compotes, my partner with a tasting of homemade desserts. The evening was enriched by a valid 2011 Barolo from Poderi Collá. The bill would have been very honest regardless, but I would like to underline how the manager, after we pointed out that he had forgotten to write down the two starters, still refused to add the amount due. Something that struck me a lot and which leads me to underline that certain styles a person either has or doesn't have... they can't be learned. Thanks again!

Personale accogliente, cibo ottimo, qualità prezzo ottimo

To be honest, normally I don’t go to Barolo as it has somehow been ruined by tourism. However, a friend (whom I trust recommended this place), so we decided to go and try it. It’s a small place tucked away in a corner from the main pedestrian street. Looking very authentic in the right way if you know what I mean. The second you step inside you know that you made the right decision. The smell of food, the sound of laughter and a beautiful down to earth kind of feeling hits you. The friendly staff (all mature and no smartness) kindly escorts you to the table. We were seated in the back close to the open fireplace. How cozy is that? The menu is simple, but my god the flavours are some of the best I have ever had in the area. The risotto (takes at least 20 min😀) was cooked to perfection, the quails were deboned & cooked in Nebbiolo wine with potato mash and haricot vert on the side. We had a truly fantastic 2019 Barolo from Bartolo Mascarello & the food/wine pairing was made in heaven. Just a note on the wine list - prices are extremely fair. Considering you are in the middle of Barolo. We paid € 150,00 for our Barolo and that’s a bargain. We also had desserts and again I must say: “complimenti”. Best panna cotta ever😀. We were 3 people, had 3 dishes each, water, wine & coffee and the bill came to € 270,00. We all agreed that it was a bargain and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an amazing experience🙏

Nel centro di Barolo, abbiamo assaggiato piatti tipici locali. Dopo una piccola entrée offerta dalla casa, come antipasto abbiamo preso due fuori menù: la lingua in salsa tartara e un flan di funghi con la fonduta e il tartufo. A seguire i tipici ravioli del plin e i tajerini al ragù. Tutto buono e accompagnato da un bicchiere di immancabile barolo. Location modesta, cameriere molto gentile. Prezzi contenuti.

Ristorante di alto livello caratterizzato da una cucina curata, gustosa e leggera al tempo stesso. Il menù tipico è affiancato da stuzzicanti portare che rendono la visita una piacevole novità ogni volta.
