On Saturday, May 9, 2026, my son and I celebrated Mother's Day!
Mrs. EMMA, along with the dining room and kitchen staff, managed to make us feel very comfortable with her carefully and artisanally prepared food, just like only a few Piedmontese homes still do!
The four appetizers were delicious (the raw meat and Russian salad were exceptional), the Tajarin with veal sauce were superb, as were the Plin, with their thin pastry and delicious filling.
Followed by the braised beef in Barolo and baked rabbit with French fries.
Trio of desserts...the nougat and meringue were special, and a special mention for the BUNET, made the old-fashioned way.
We will definitely be back, but we want to express our compliments for the quality and attention to detail of all the dishes served, always asking if we wanted more.
Coffee, bottled water, house red wine, and digestif were €39 each.
Mrs. EMMA is also present in the kitchen, working with her white FAUDALIN!
MY CONGRATULATIONS!!
She truly deserves the recognition she's received for several years now.
Reservations are recommended to ensure a seat.

Good morning, as scheduled, online reservations for the month of June opened yesterday, May 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM. I made the reservation at 10:00 AM, and received an email confirmation confirming my reservation. Late in the afternoon, February 17, I received an email stating that I was on a waiting list. I'm not here to judge the computer system or Gemma's cuisine (which is 5 stars). This reservation system leaves me with serious doubts.

I think the expectations were too high due to the difficulty in booking due to the high number of requests. The food is good, as is the value for money. The atmosphere is pleasant. A positive, but not unforgettable, experience.

Very nice place...
It's very nice that the owner stops by at the end of the meal to greet everyone at the various tables.
Honestly, I find the fame this place has gained completely out of place, partly due to social media.
To book a table, you have to book online months and months in advance, worse than booking a Vasco Rossi tour, and frankly, I find this completely pointless.
Considering that you go there and eat whatever they give you, with no possibility—I repeat, no—of changing anything.

After a long wait, we finally managed to eat at Gemma's, and it was a disappointment. I was expecting home-cooked food, but the quality and preparation of the dishes were subpar, though not lacking in anything, of course.
The service was like doing homework. We met Mrs. Gemma and exchanged a few words, but she seemed almost annoyed.
The main courses were accompanied by a paltry tray of carrots sautéed in butter, a rather meager side dish; the other dishes were very mediocre.
Piedmontese cuisine below expectations.

You eat a lot and well, all of Piedmontese tradition, fast service and exceptional price. Painful notes: noise in the room and my table positioned at the exit of the kitchen from where steam from the dishwasher came out with unpleasant smells, if I were the owner I would avoid placing that table

A lovely lunch with friends in a beautiful, simple yet welcoming restaurant with a spectacular view of the hills and mountains of Piedmont. The food was still homemade... everything was delicious, as were their wines. The desserts were fantastic! The Russian salad and meringue pie were truly special.
And all at a reasonable price. It wasn't easy to find a table, but it's definitely worth it!

This is a beautiful osteria run by the wonderful Gemma, and it serves a traditional Piemonte set menu of things like beef tartare, rabbit, wild boar and local pasta dishes. Absolutely fantastic, but you should come prepared to eat a lot. The rooftop patio also has a 360-degree view of the hills and wineries and a great view of the Alps. Highly recommended!
