Da Gemma – Roddino I came in hungry and left with a full heart. You don't eat here, you're adopted here. Authentic Piedmontese cuisine: handmade tajarin, melting braised beef, homemade desserts. Everything prepared with love and care. Ms. Gemma is the soul of the place: she welcomes you with a smile, gives you advice like a mother would, and if you're lucky, we even get a photo together. Adequate portions, fair prices, good house wine. If you're passing through the Langhe, this is a place to note. I'll definitely be back. Pure, unadulterated Piedmontese "poor" cuisine, without a doubt! This osteria is simply legendary. Celebrities, EU politicians, athletes, etc., love to be photographed with Gemma, but she couldn't care less; she's been doing a perfect job for decades. Authentic Langhe cuisine, honest, delicious, and the portions aren't for scrawny eaters—you really have to stand up for them. How fantastic is that! And when you get up after the set menu, the question is: run out or get some leftovers... what a wonderful experience! The prices are incredible by German standards (someone always complains anyway...): for €38 per person without drinks, you get a fantastic seven-course meal. The wine list is also amazing: everything that's anyone in the region is represented here at unbeatable prices. A definite recommendation for connoisseurs/pleasure seekers, hungry cyclists, and lovers of the countryside and its people – you'll find them here. Not for Z-level roommates with social or dietary sensitivities...

A wonderful family lunch at the legendary Osteria da Gemma. Exquisite dishes, from appetizers to masterfully homemade tajarin. I forgot about the ravioli and the mouth-watering main courses. To finish, a trio of excellent desserts. Compliments to Mrs. Gemma, a wonderful woman from another era, and her staff, attentive to customer satisfaction. See you next time, and thank you again. A place like it used to be. Authentic flavors and genuine courtesy! Very affordable set menu, superb raw meat and tajarin!

The set menu is excellent and plentiful, and the service was impeccable, attentive, and fast. I was surprised to see Mrs. Gemma come to the table and ask if everything was okay. The chopped meat and tairian were excellent, as were the desserts. The prices were even too low for the quality and quantity. My compliments.

Given the hype surrounding this place, we managed to book after several attempts, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, these weren't met. The vitello tonnato was dry, as was the pasta (probably made the day before), the wine had a very vinegary aftertaste and wasn't served at the right temperature. The raw meat was good but nothing exceptional, the ravioli al plin were enjoyable, while the main course was a bit dry. I, however, enjoyed the desserts. Overall, it's an osteria like many others, with average flavors, but well-structured marketing to attract reservations and customers (mostly tourists who aren't very good at assessing product quality). The place is very homey (perhaps a little too much), as it should be, and has a lovely view of the Langhe from the terrace. The coffee included in the price is a nice touch (€38, including cover charge and water, excluding wine).
