24/07/2026: A little off the beaten track and hidden away, but definitely worth a visit. What a wonderful terrace and such welcoming people! One of the best Proseccos of the last 40 years and excellent food!!!! Thank you, we'll be back!

21/07/2026: I've been frequenting this restaurant in the summer for several years now (my mother is from Orsara Bormida), so my review is based on at least 10 lunches/dinners. The atmosphere is always well-maintained and refined, and has improved over the years; the outdoor area is very beautiful. Excellent and professional service: all the wait staff are truly professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive to their customers...a heartfelt thank you to everyone! The food is always excellent, rightly showcasing local specialties. If I could offer a piece of advice as a customer (I'm certainly not a chef), I'd try to make the stuffed pasta dishes (ravioli, agnolotti, and plin) more flavorful by offering them with more flavorful sauces or by modifying the filling (which, to my taste, is a bit too delicate). Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I return? Absolutely, as I have done in recent years!

06/07/2026: It was a pleasant discovery. A very beautiful, elegant place with original details. The owner is a young, talented, and very kind man. I went for dinner and had the octopus, which I love! They also make it as a ragù with pasta, and it's spectacular. Very tender, even eaten on its own. The dishes are beautifully presented, with top-notch attention to detail, which is not always a given. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to combine authenticity, tradition (thanks to Milanese cuisine), and flavors. I'll be back again.

03/07/2026: A well-kept restaurant with professional service. I chose the schnitzel with potato chips, both excellent; the schnitzel is large enough to feed two people. The price was in line with the quality, but not excessive. Recommended restaurant.

20/05/2026: The most fascinating and informative experience - and the pizza was truly excellent. We were enthralled listening to the delightful owner explain that this type of pizza is a specialty of beautiful Siena. Ingredients such as pecorino cheese, leeks and local cured meats/ salami. The owner is honestly the nicest man we’ve met in Siena A and best of all - he has an oven fired up, and bakes the pizza to your order. Most other shops around here sell cold pizza and heat it up, not here- it’s made to order. Delicious and fantastic attention to detail and hygiene. We thank you for this truly magical experience in Siena.

30/05/2026: We are three couples of friends who often go out for lunch on holidays, and we also happened upon the turkey. They recommended the timbale, and naturally, the turkey. Each person chose their own. Three of us had the timbale and the turkey. The timbale had been defrosted and reheated, and when you cut it, water came out. The turkey was served all crumbled, stringy, inedible. I complained to the owner, who brought us the bill for 50 euros. I definitely do not recommend this terrible restaurant.

06/05/2026: We spent a delightful May Day at your restaurant. We found warmth, kindness, professionalism, and above all, quality. The Virtues were the virtues. Delicious, perfect. The turkey Canzanese-style was very special on the palate; it was our first time trying it, and we really enjoyed it. The cake at the end of the meal was also delicious. We will gladly return!

06/07/2026: I had dinner at Osteria La Carabaccia and had a truly positive experience. The restaurant is welcoming and well-kept, with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and are rich in flavor: you can sense the attention to both the cuisine and tradition. The service was impeccable! The host was super helpful and attentive. Excellent value for money. If you're looking for a place to eat well in La Spezia, away from the typical touristy restaurants, this osteria is definitely worth a visit. I would definitely go back!

14/06/2026: I recommend it wholeheartedly and truly 100%!!! Delicious food, incredibly friendly service, and a great atmosphere. We went once to try it and only went there for the rest of our stay. We're going home today and regret not getting a takeaway pizza 😢 The prices are reasonable, and customers wait in line for a table. The staff brings orders very quickly, so you don't have to wait long. I honestly don't know who's writing negative reviews of your restaurant. It seems like someone who doesn't like anything in their life or actually prefers eating at McDonald's 😂 We recommend it and thank you!

05/07/2026: Fantastic family run restaurant in the middle of lovely San Donato! The owner and his family + service are so welcoming and nice, and the food is superb! Just like a real Italian restaurant should be❤️ We have eaten here 3 times during our trip already and plan to go back several more times!

19/07/2026: Dining at Antica Trattoria Al Gallo 1909 was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The food was outstanding – beautifully prepared, full of authentic flavors, and clearly made with passion and respect for tradition. What made the experience truly unforgettable was Umberto, a wonderful host and an exceptional wine expert. His warmth, knowledge, and perfectly chosen wine pairings elevated the entire evening. We felt more like guests in his home than customers in a restaurant.

Other than the fact that the restaurant is beautiful, you feel like you are in a museum of art but the service is excellent, fast and the food is incredible. The owners are around, you do feel that they care and nurture their place the way they should.

We were pleased with the choice; the cuisine was excellent, with carefully prepared dishes, generous portions of first courses, and even excellent pizza. Excellent value for money. A 20% discount for B&B guests is an added bonus.
