22/06/2025: I can't rate the hotel because I only tried the restaurant but it will surely be as wonderful as their cuisine. We have been coming to this restaurant every time we return to Albenga for two years. Since we discovered it, it has been a regular stop during our vacation. The staff is kind and helpful, the dishes are delicious and plentiful with honest prices, including those for fish. I recommend everyone to come! Surely, as happened to us, once you have tried it, you will not be able to do without it.

19/06/2025: The service was okay. We were initially ignored. Then the employee said that what my brother ordered was more than enough, he's 16. In the end, he got three small meatballs that weren't even tasty. The burger was terrible. It was like chewing on the sole of a shoe. It was so dry. I don't understand the good reviews.

09/06/2025: Wir haben ein hervorragendes Nachtessen im Restaurant Matisse genosssen. Unser Tisch im idyllischen Garten war top, das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam und das Essen war Weltklasse. Wir haben einen feinen Fisch, hergerichtet in Salzkruste, gegessen und dazu einen herrlichen lokalen Weisswein getrunken. Alles war sehr sehr gut und wir werden bestimmt dieses Lokal bei unseren nächsten Süditalien-Ferien wieder besuchen.

Everything on the menu makes you want to try it, but anything we went for was so tasty! You can even buy their own olive oil! Even our dog was so much welcomed! Thanks so much ! 17/06/2025: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist im Cambusa sehr gut. Wir bekamen begleitend Brot: Weißbrot getoastet mit Öl und ein dunkles Brot, das besonders gut war. Wir haben uns für Nudeln mit Hummer entschieden. Geschmacklich waren sie sehr gut. Bei der Frage, ob man uns den Hummer schon ausnehmen kann, kam man uns leider nicht ganz so entgegen, wie wir uns das gewünscht hätten. Wir mussten uns Teile nachträglich öffnen lassen und auch selbst die Finger zur Hilfe nehmen. Gerne hätten wir noch Garnelen probiert, aber auch diese gab es ungeschält.

11/06/2025: This is one of the most outstanding restaurants I ever eaten at. Phenomenal cuisine from a creative chef. Beautiful ambience both in the outdoor and indoor dining areas. A very, very extensive wine list from thousands of bottles stored in the wine cellar. You cannot go wrong with any of the primi e secondi piatti.

Ma il vero protagonista è il cibo. Ogni piatto racconta una storia di terra e mare. Una cucina sincera, generosa, fedele alle radici sarde. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un’esperienza gastronomica autentica e piena di gusto.
