15/06/2025: Distilled excellence. We had already been to D’O years ago, when it had 1 star and the restaurant was located on the main street of the town and we were impressed by its approach, the research of ingredients, the contrasts between hot and cold, soft and crunchy, acidic and basic. It was nice to come back and relive this experience together with my brother and our companions: I wanted to give him a memorable experience for his birthday because I think it is beautiful to share the joys of life with the people you love. Beyond the awards collected along their path which are still worthy of note, the growth of Davide and his team is palpable in every detail, every sip, every bite. Nothing is left to chance. The caramelized onion is extraordinary, over the years he has managed to improve something that seemed to have already reached perfection in its original version. We were so eager to taste the dish that we even forgot to take a photo 😉 Excellent service: the staff is on average very young but super qualified, they are an army and always present but never obsessive. A sublime experience that is worth every euro spent imho. 🙏

15/06/2025: Great experience! Elegant atmosphere, staff present but not intrusive. Great technique in the dishes, quality ingredients. Nice to be able to exchange a few words with the chef. Fair value for money. I share the photos of some dishes that particularly impressed me.

12/06/2025: Nagyon jó hely nagyon kevés kiszolgálás végig mosolyogtak és kedvesek voltak, a kaja nagyon jó volt, csak ajánlani tudom mindenkinek aki szereti a halas ételeket. A fehér folyóbor tök korrekt volt.

08/06/2025: Cortona is a charming town in Umbria on the border with Tuscany. It is located on a high mountain. The main street is charming and everything is open even on Sunday. The ice cream there is some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten.

21/06/2025: My girlfriend and I discovered this restaurant almost by chance, but it immediately became one of those places that stay in your heart. The atmosphere is intimate, with attention to detail but never pretentious - just how we like it. The wine they recommended was a real revelation: fragrant, full-bodied at the right point, perfect to accompany each course. You could feel that behind that bottle there was passion and a careful choice, not made by chance. But the real love at first sight were the bombette: tender, juicy, with a flavor that makes you close your eyes at the first bite. The best we have ever eaten, really. A small masterpiece of the Apulian tradition. Attentive, smiling and never intrusive service. In an already special trip, this restaurant was one of the best moments. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

31/05/2025: Recommended and highly rated two years ago, the experience was happily repeated at this completely renovated establishment. The welcome and service were attentive, efficient, and fast. The menu is limited and features mainly seafood-based dishes. The dishes are simple but tasty and well-served with fresh produce. The welcome aperitif with bruschetta is a nice touch to start the meal. The server doesn't push you to eat too much and suggests waiting to order the second course or even sharing some to accommodate the portions served. All in all, it's still a great place to recommend.

31/05/2025: We had a truly wonderful lunch at this restaurant. We had no idea that we would be provided a lovely welcome drink of Prosecco, along with some bruschetta. For a starter, we shared a lobster spaghetti, and then we had tuna steak and swordfish fillet for main course. Followed by a shared desert that was equally delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly!

03/05/2025: Stanchi della folla del lungolago (e dei locali-trappola per turisti), abbiamo scovato quasi per caso questo ristorante nell'immediato entroterra. Non fatevi fuorviare dal nome di "trattoria": i piatti, dalla descrizione forse un po' classicheggiante, hanno sapori eccezionali. I fuori-menù sono numerosi e rispettano la stagionalità. Le proposte non sono di quelle pretenziose e successivamente deludenti; chi cucina, sa come farlo. L'ambiente, poi, è curatissimo: dettagli ricercati e tovaglie di pesante cotone in pendant coi tovaglioli. Infine il servizio è attento, preparatissimo e accorto, ma per nulla affettato: i camerieri servono in camicia, col braccio accuratamente raccolto dietro la schiena, ma con la battuta pronta se il cliente apre alla conversazione. Unico neo? I menù plastificati. Ne capisco la necessità, ma stonano un po'. Promossi a pieni voti!

21/05/2025: Cortesia e simpatia sono le caratteristiche di questo ristorante, forse un po' "scomodo" come location, ma che vale il viaggio. Padrona di casa disponibile ed accogliente, seppur ci si sia presentati in ritardo. Abbiamo scelto gli antipasti misti della casa, quindi alcune portate differenti fra cui da segnalare, per bontà, la faraona, i plin burro e salvia ed anche il coniglio. Chiusura con sorbetto alla mela con calvados e torta pere e cioccolato. Prezzo assolutamente competitivo.

15/04/2025: A rare restaurant nowadays. I have eaten at the Fermata on numerous occasions and every time it is a guarantee. Refined and tasty dishes where the fusion between innovation and tradition manages to satisfy every type of palate. Excellent quality-price not only for the raw material but also for the service, the mise en place, the beginning and the sweet conclusion of the meal: the entrees and the small pastries. I highly recommend.
