06/08/2026: It was a truly wonderful experience. We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, perfect for enjoying dinner. We were served by the friendly Egyptian waiter, Mimmo, and his colleague, Ahmed. They were very helpful and assisted us in selecting the right dishes, making the experience even more enjoyable and professional. There were two of us, and we ordered shrimp salad, grilled fish with mushrooms, and a mixed seafood platter. All the dishes were delicious and expertly prepared. What impressed me most was the quality and freshness of the ingredients, which was clearly reflected in the taste. The place is somewhat small, with few tables, and wheelchairs are not permitted. I thank Mimmo and Ahmed for their hospitality and excellent service, and I will definitely visit again on my next trip. We had an excellent dining experience. We visited on Saturday evening, and the restaurant had a calm and relaxing atmosphere that made the evening even more enjoyable. We were served by Mimmo, a friendly Egyptian waiter, along with his colleague, Ahmed. They were both welcoming, attentive, and helped us choose the dishes, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Every dish was delicious, perfectly cooked, and made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The quality of the products was evident in every bite. In the local area, there is no need to eat, but there are many different things and there is no need to eat the food. Not only was the food and all staff amazing but they all took the time to explain each dish brought out to us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner in Lake Como. 22/07/2026: The food and service absolutely live up to its Michelin one-star reputation. In fact, I would even rate the service at a two-star level. It was exceptionally professional yet warm, with every interaction feeling natural, effortless, and perfectly balanced—never overdone. The staff either have extensive experience or have received outstanding training, and it truly shows. The food was equally impressive: beautifully executed, full of flavor, and, in my opinion, somewhere between the standard of one and two Michelin stars. A highly recommended dining experience.

09/05/2026: We ate here twice on our stay. Very authentically Sicilian family run restaurant. The meals were delicious, the service exemplary and much care was taken for the food. They also have a great wine list. Book early. The home made pistachio tiramasu and lemon tart were fabulous.

16/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Yesterday, the two of us dined at La Preferita, hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable evening with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. And that's exactly what we got. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were shown to a wonderful table with a breathtaking view of the sea and Amalfi. Right from the start, we told the staff we weren't in a hurry and wanted to enjoy the evening at our leisure. The visible relief on the team's faces immediately brought a smile to our faces – and that's precisely how the entire evening unfolded: attentive, warm, and pleasantly unhurried. From the antipasti to the primi and secondi, right through to the dolce, everything was superbly prepared and of the highest quality. Every dish was presented with meticulous attention to detail and is highly recommended. Oh yes, and we also received an excellent wine recommendation that perfectly complemented our meal. The personal interaction with the waitresses was also a real treat. Brief conversations blossomed into a warm encounter that made the evening even more special. A huge thank you to the entire La Preferita team for this thoroughly enjoyable evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. Finally, a small request to all guests: Service staff do a fantastic job every day. A little more respect, appreciation, and genuine communication would benefit many restaurant visits. Why not put your phone aside for an evening and enjoy the people, the food, and the atmosphere? La Preferita more than deserves its 5 stars.
