The wine recommendation was particularly lovely; the red wine served with the meal was a perfect match and rounded off the evening beautifully. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy; you immediately feel welcome. The service was attentive and warm, especially the wine recommendation – a big thank you for that! A place you'll gladly recommend and visit again yourself.

18/12/2025: We were warmly welcomed into a well-kept and spotlessly clean restaurant. The attention to detail in selecting the ingredients and the presentation are exceptional! As a true Maremma native, I know tortelli well, but here they are truly superior! Everything is top-notch, including Laura, who pampers you and makes you feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

10/01/2026: We spent a few days in Pistoia for the Christmas holidays, and on the evening of January 1st, craving a nice Florentine steak, we stumbled upon this typical trattoria. They offer a fixed-price menu, which I recommend, which includes mixed appetizers, a Florentine steak of a weight appropriate for the number of guests, three side dishes, and a dessert. Drinks are not included. The owner, like the staff, is incredibly welcoming. You can tell they really care about explaining the quality and provenance of the meat. Oh! By the way, aside from appetizers and side dishes: THEY ONLY EAT MEAT! It's a real steakhouse; they don't do first courses, they don't do fish... What a steak, folks! Served on piping hot plates so it doesn't get cold, and cut at the table by the owner himself. The only flaw: they served us French meat. Good, tender, but not the most flavorful. I would have preferred local meat. Anyway, I recommend it. It's worth it.

06/01/2026: This traditional Tuscan restaurant is located on Via Sant'Andrea in Pistoia, in a beautiful medieval building restored with exposed brick and stone. Enjoy fabulous grilled meats and traditional dishes with tasty crostini, excellent cured meats, side dishes, and appetizers, accompanied by a wide selection of white and red wines. The owners, with great professionalism and kindness, recommend these wines, turning a simple dinner into a truly exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful, meticulously maintained, and fantastic for photographs. Excellent in every way! The food, wines, hospitality, and sophistication. Recommended restaurant!

A corner of paradise where authentic flavors, all freshly cooked with excellent, home-made ingredients, are an added value that sometimes justifies the appropriate and understandable preparation times for certain dishes, in favor of an excellent result, all washed down with quality wines. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, on every occasion, even by friends who came from out of the region. Highly recommended to those who appreciate an authentic experience that marries slow food; after all, at least at the table and in company, you can find yourself carving out a couple of hours of peace. This trattoria is one of those places that makes you feel right at home: a welcoming atmosphere, a family atmosphere, and an attention to detail that's evident as soon as you enter. The staff is incredibly kind, always smiling and attentive, but a special mention goes to the owner: incredibly kind and helpful, capable of welcoming every guest with genuine warmth and making everyone feel truly welcome. The cuisine is simply exceptional, with authentic flavors and generous portions. Each course showcases tradition, but with a pleasantly surprising twist. Everything was perfect, accompanied by excellent wines expertly recommended. It's one of those places you'll want to return to and recommend without hesitation to friends and family. My compliments to the entire staff; we'll definitely be back!

21/02/2026: If you're passing through Manciano, definitely stop at Trattoria Il Rifugio! The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and you'll immediately feel at home. The risotto is simply amazing, and the pappardelle with wild boar are spectacular, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The cod is delicious. The welcome was top-notch, Ilaria was incredibly kind and attentive. The dessert.....exquisite! A place to definitely return to! 🍷✨

29/11/2025: A very good discovery, a nice, rather classy setting, clean, an almost perfect restaurant, a few minor drawbacks: you sink a little too deeply into the chairs which is not very comfortable, the vegetables that accompany the octopus are slightly undercooked, and the portions are a little small... but otherwise a pleasant experience!

20/02/2026: I chose the dinner experience at Villa Crespi as a birthday gift for my wife, and we were thrilled. The Mettici l'Anima menu was exceptional, introducing us to new flavors and pairing perfectly with the sommelier's wine tasting. The staff was incredibly kind and pampered us throughout the evening. Along with the dinner, I also wanted to gift an overnight stay at the villa, which turned out to be extremely pleasant, with countless treatments and attentions. The body ritual in the wellness area was a wonderful addition, especially for the olfactory pairing of the essences with the massage. The staff is very attentive and available to accommodate every need. Overall, an experience definitely worth repeating!

18/02/2026: I tried the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience: the quality was top-notch, and the dishes were pure magic. The highly qualified staff pampers you with warmth and a deep knowledge of the dishes and wines. I've tried many Michelin-starred restaurants (one to three stars) around the world (both in the US and Europe). This is absolutely the best I've had so far.
