20/08/2025: We stayed at this hotel. The location, the view, and the pool are definitely the unbeatable features of this venue; they make everything more special. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the service. The staff is friendly, but not particularly attentive, or rather, not for a 5-star hotel. The pool is managed by a single person who is constantly moving in and out, so sometimes you have to wait up to 10 minutes for a tablecloth, a drink, etc. The management of the loungers in the pool area is poor. People were putting tablecloths down at 9:00 in the morning to get seats, went off to do their own thing, and then came back hours later, and no one bothered to tell them that this kind of management is unethical. We returned at 3:00 in the morning. We were told the reception was open 24/7. Unfortunately, we rang repeatedly for 10 minutes, both at the main door and the service door, to no avail. At the last minute, when we were sure we'd be left out, they answered the phone and let us in. When we went up to our room to go to bed, we found a long hair between the sheets and the mattress cover. The rooms aren't the prettiest I've ever seen, but they are tastefully furnished and functional. They lack a full-length mirror, which I personally love having in my room. At breakfast, no one approached us to ask if we wanted coffee, cappuccino, or anything else. There wasn't a lot of continental selection, but what was available was very high quality—mostly Italian-style. As we left, they told us to go downstairs because the car was ready downstairs. When we got downstairs, we saw the car parked in the guest parking spaces, but we didn't know where the key was. Then, on the way there, we remembered where the valet had "hidden" it, but no one had told us. I would definitely return for the view, the good, quality food, although the pool area service was a bit slow, and the overall management of the facility in terms of quality and customer service could, in my opinion, be improved.

02/09/2025: A charming place with a breathtaking view, perched on the side of the town of Anghiari, cool (breezy) even in the summer. Service was average, but the food was a shame; the first courses were microwaved. Regarding the food, nothing too bad, to be honest, but I was bitterly disappointed when, between appetizers (an excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses), on my way to the bathroom, I noticed the employee placing what would have been our dishes into two microwaves set up in the small "kitchen." When I returned to the table, with the classic "ding" sound, the two dishes were promptly served. As already mentioned, nothing really bad, but the microwave is noticeable... the heat quickly dissipates, and the pasta remains a bit stringy. A shame, because the place is very nice! I recommend enjoying the terrace exclusively for a simple aperitif.

24/08/2025: Wonderful experience. The owner is a lovely person, and the food is excellent. Very helpful, attentive, and attentive to detail. They'll offer dessert, chocolates, and food. We're staying at a nearby hotel and have dined there every night. The atmosphere is great, but on Saturdays, the bar next door gets packed, but it doesn't bother us. 100% recommended.

20/08/2025: We've been frequenting Gilda for years now, and we've never been disappointed. The restaurant, open year-round, is one of the best in Forte dei Marmi. The bathroom was recently renovated, with a beautiful open kitchen. The food is excellent, with a wide variety of traditional Versilian dishes, pizzas, and other dishes. Thank you, Ilda, and all the staff, for your always top-notch hospitality.

05/09/2025: Il Megalite farmhouse is located just outside the village of Giurdignano, 4 km from Otranto, an excellent location for exploring Salento, reaching the coast north and south of Otranto, and taking advantage of the services of nearby towns. The reception area, with its beautiful adjacent swimming pool, forms a sort of central piazza around which the rooms, each with its own veranda/sitting area, are arranged in a fan shape. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. From the rooms, a beautiful arched path shaded by vines leads to a large green area and the breakfast/dining room. Here, you can dine comfortably indoors or outdoors, as Il Megalite also serves as a restaurant. Il Megalite farmhouse is a haven of peace where you are welcomed with the utmost kindness and courtesy, from the reception staff to the dining room staff and the ladies who take care of the rooms. Kudos to each and every one of them. We had a problem with a specific personal need, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful, in an unexpected way. We thank him again, along with the receptionist who assisted us.

01/09/2025: We had dinner at this agriturismo. A charming location, tables surrounded by greenery, and a pleasant atmosphere. Traditional, homemade dishes. The staff was attentive and courteous. Fair prices.

13/06/2025: I ate at this restaurant twice, I had a good time and would go back. Unfortunately the place has a strange smell that doesn't make me feel exactly at ease.

27/08/2025: We stayed in this wonderful hotel the week after Ferragosto... What can I say? Everything was perfect!! Starting with the owners, who are disarmingly kind, and the same can be said of all the staff, who are efficient and beyond courteous. The rooms are comfortable and super clean, and the restaurant/pizzeria stands out for its excellent value. We highly recommend it!

27/08/2025: A well-kept hotel with exceptional and helpful staff. The rooms are spotless, and not only that, the linens are changed every day. The bar and restaurant are top-notch, and you can tell you put your heart and soul into it.

23/08/2025: Good pizza, but nothing exceptional, standard contemporary Neapolitan fare. Considering we're in a small mountain village near Salerno, the pizza was good, with a soft, digestible, hydrated dough and good-quality ingredients. Obviously, anyone who's already used to eating this product will find it a standard pizza. Anyone who only tries this here will find the product excellent. The service is a bit inattentive to customer needs.

04/09/2025: A pleasant break on a quieter street than the bustling city center, and a wonderful surprise in terms of cuisine, with truly delicious pasta dishes. Good house wine, and an enthusiastic and friendly welcome.

14/09/2025: We returned after almost forty years; it was the pizzeria we used to go to as kids, before we got married. The place is completely renovated, of course, but the pizza, fortunately, is exactly as we remembered it—simply out of this world. I don't think we'll wait another forty years.

04/09/2025: The shared table concept is very nice and well executed. The place is beautiful, and the service is attentive but a bit impersonal due to the various nationalities of the waiters. The food is a bit of a roller coaster: the katsu-sando was good, but the zucchini inside had been fried hours earlier and was cold and mushy. The gazpacho (complimentary from the kitchen) with cod was delicious, as were the ravioli stuffed all'amatriciana; the duck was well executed. The pork ribs, on the other hand, were also cold and rather heavy. The wine list isn't very extensive, but it was explained that (rightly) they don't receive deliveries during the summer due to the heat. I must say that the markups on several "trendy" labels are truly exaggerated, so much so that it seems as if some bottles were there more for display and to attract a specific clientele than actually for sale. It's a shame, I had very high expectations, and they weren't fully met.
