Get dressed comfy, and off to Sunday brunch at Giulietta al Lago. The location is pure magic, the lake whispers "relax" to you, and you respond with an enthusiastic "yes, this isn't a place, but a mood!" As soon as you arrive, the view of the lake hits you so hard that you think, "Okay, this is my new rich life I didn't know I had." But upon entering... The design is nice and modern, the atmosphere is casual but a bit anonymous. Be careful with the restrooms. The fixed price of €20 is all a real winner. The buffet is plentiful (savory pie, cold cuts, fried gnocchi, desserts...), but here comes the "constructive criticism" side. Despite the quantity, the variety of the main dishes tends to remain consistent. Savory: The cold cuts and cheeses are excellent (even though I'm vegetarian), along with yogurt and fruit salad, savory pies, frittatas, and fried vegetables, but there's only one savory pie. The lack of "hot" dishes (like the legendary baked beans, hash browns, or eggs Benedict, scrambled in a pan) makes the experience repetitive if you go back several times. Sweet: The cakes, mini tiramisu, and cheesecakes are good, but the classic pancakes, muffins, waffles, and croissants, which are the true heart of a brunch that aims to take things to the next level, are missing. The drinks—filtered coffee and juice—are complex, but no milk, whether plant-based or otherwise? That's a flaw. The suggestion for improvement is clear: Adding 2-3 signature dishes cooked to order (even for a small surcharge) would enrich the offering and dispel the impression of limited variety. Brunch Verdict: 3/5. The location deserves a 5+, but with a few small adjustments, it could become the best brunch in the Varese area.

02/11/2025: What can I say? In one word: exceptional!!! A bright atmosphere with a large window and a view of the lake. The brunch idea is excellent, with excellent, high-quality products, both savory and sweet. The staff is very professional with a touch of friendliness that makes you feel at home. The prices are average and commensurate with the service received. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, without hesitation.

09/09/2025: We had a wonderful evening here. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and very attentive. Even though we didn't know a word of Italian, we understood each other perfectly. The atmosphere along the boulevard is very pleasant, and the view of the lake and the sunset was magnificent. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!

03/10/2025: Disaster - restaurant wasnt busy and staff complaining and ignoring clients waited very long for the staff to assist and they were all rude and nervous.

05/10/2025: I went to this hotel accompanying my boss, who had a room booked for a gala dinner outside the hotel. Since I didn't have a room, I politely asked if I could come up for just half an hour, just to change for the event. I was told there was no need to register. After about half an hour, however, I was contacted by the front desk in an aggressive tone and completely inappropriate suggestive language, which implied something far from the truth. This was offensive and unacceptable behavior, especially toward someone who had expressed herself with the utmost politeness and transparency. Only after this incident was I asked for my ID, which had not initially been necessary. The handling of the situation was embarrassing and demonstrates a total lack of professionalism and respect for anyone who enters the hotel. A real shame: certain lapses in style weigh far more heavily than any material defect.

19/09/2025: Discovered by chance years ago We return several times a year. Top-notch steak, super-fresh fish, generous spritz. The staff is courteous, helpful, and very friendly. I recommend it.

14/10/2025: I bought some delicious fruit pastries and cannoncini, and the sfogliatelle with white chocolate, which we thought was creamy, were a bit too sweet. There are other pastries with white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and Nutella. A pastry shop perfect for chocolate and Nutella lovers. The place is very nice, and the staff is friendly.

18/09/2025: The place is well-maintained, but the staff is rude, impolite, and superficial. To sit down, you have to order at least one coffee, which is also of terrible quality. Despite being a group of 15 people, at least half of whom were drinking, we had to leave because some of us wanted something else based on their budget. The baristas didn't take kindly to this and kicked us out. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
