04/08/2025: Of course, for a can of Coke, a Spritz, and a tray of olives, bread, three slices of salami, and three slices of speck, in aperitif mode, as communicated at the cashier, you ask 16 euros, I'd say it's a bit expensive, enough to never return.

04/04/2026: Our stay was actually quite nice – almost.
We had the Steak Fiorentina, which tasted good.
Unfortunately, the side dishes were rather uninspired.
We ordered a glass of red wine and received half a liter – these things happen.
What wasn't nice: We couldn't pay by card because the system wasn't working. We hadn't expected that.
And the two Steaks Fiorentina were charged differently, which we didn't understand and which wasn't mentioned on the menu. We pointed it out – the response was that we had agreed to one steak being from the USA and the other from Italy – there was no mention of the double price per 100g – that's not fair.
We did receive a bottle of wine, but it still left a bad taste in our mouths.
04/04/2026: I haven't eaten this badly in a long time.
The service was okay, but they were clearly overwhelmed. The chicken was cooked to a decent degree, but tasted like it had been thrown on the grill, and it was completely lacking in seasoning. The potatoes were scrawny and a bit too salty. The spinach tasted strongly of fish and was also cold, making it inedible.
My only recommendation is to walk further.
The only thing worth mentioning is the price; it's the only decent thing about this place (I wouldn't call it a restaurant).

28/10/2025: I don't go there often, but every now and then, yes. I started going this summer, where a sushi aperitivo was €10. Now I can understand the increases, and I'm not saying anything, but raising the price to €11 and then reducing the size of the glasses and the alcohol seems excessive to me!! Good, average sushi, perhaps a little underheated, and average service. I won't be going back because of the glass size issue!! Literally two steps away, for almost the same money, you can get two rounds with an unlimited buffet!! I really feel sorry for the place.
23/10/2025: Excellent aperitif, generous portions for the price, friendly and helpful staff, fast service. Vegan option much appreciated!

12/11/2025: TODAY THERE WERE THREE OF US TO EAT A FIRST COURSE I HAVE TO SAY ON THE POSITIVE GROUND THAT IT WAS VERY LARGE AND THE WAIT WAS RIGHT ALSO BECAUSE WE WERE AMONG THE FIRST COURSES THERE WERE NO PEOPLE YET BUT I'M SORRY BUT WE HAD ORDERED TORTELLINI ALLA BOSCAIOLA WHICH ALL LEFT ON THE PLATE BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT TORTELLINI BUT GIANT TORTELLONI FULL OF MEAT WITHOUT CREAM VERY DRY AND HEAVY INEEDIBLE TOO SHAME BECAUSE WE EVEN PAID 9 EUROS FOR THEM BUT THEY STAYED THERE.

09/04/2026: Unfortunately, the place doesn't live up to its stunning location.
I always hope for improvement, but even last time on Easter Monday, we were shocked when they were almost out of water at 4 pm, despite the expected large crowd and demand. How could you not anticipate something like this? Furthermore, bringing large quantities of water home isn't a risk, since it practically never expires. They've gotten to the point of forcing each customer to buy only one bottle to satisfy as many people as possible; it's absurd. Furthermore, as others have said, I can confirm the owner's rudeness.

29/10/2025: Wednesday, October 29th, at 1:30 PM, we're standing in line with no one at the cash register. Three people are in the back and no one is giving receipts. Six people ahead of us are grumbling. Having little time for lunch, we decide to leave. This happens often.
28/10/2025: Great experience! The piadinas are always fresh, well-filled, and made with quality ingredients. I stopped by today at noon during my work break, and the service was incredibly fast.
A special thanks to the cashier, who is always kind, smiling, and helpful: she stands out for her professionalism and the courtesy with which she greets customers.
I highly recommend this place.

02/04/2026: Everything is super good...the windows speak for themselves, everything is always fresh, I've never found an "old" pastry...the cakes and desserts are something special...that something that makes you think that Canziani is the TOP in Varese for cakes, desserts and pastries...it's worth it...take a look and you'll thank me
22/03/2026: Exorbitant prices. If there's no croissant, the rest of the selection is a rip-off. A croissant costs €1.80... A Baba with cream, however, is €8.60! Crazy! They don't even display the prices properly in the display case, so you only notice once it's on the table. PS. They also got the bill wrong (thank goodness I checked).

09/03/2026: I've been there often in the past, and the service has gotten dramatically worse. The staff used to be much more attentive and helpful. Aperitivo for two was basically a drink and packaged chips for €20.
Never again.

31/01/2026: Terrible service, rude and unpleasant staff. I asked for a prosecco with a small appetizer because I wasn't eating... they told me the kitchen was closed. Since it's just a baker, I wonder why they didn't have a slice of stale pizza or focaccia to reheat... Let's also keep in mind that this summer I paid €14 for a mohjto... Since the place in question is just a baker with unjustifiable delusions of grandeur, it's one of the worst places I've ever been to... I'd say shameful...
09/12/2025: In my opinion, this is the best traditional panettone offered by various Varese pastry shops at Villa Ponti in December 2025. The price is exorbitant (three or four times the price of a supermarket-bought panettone), but it's in line with all the other pastry shops.

Only two choices of first courses and two second courses...perhaps there were more desserts...only one person in the kitchen, dining room, and cash register...the second course arrived practically cold...for such a meager menu, the first course, second course, water, and coffee for two people cost €33.

09/02/2026: The owners are arrogant and don't understand the language very well... they understand a rocket ship... Especially the owner, the short one who goes to a table while you're talking to him and you have to chase him to order.
Does he know what politeness is, or is he stuck in the Paleolithic?
