30/10/2025: Refuge not difficult to reach, excellent food and reasonable price, beautiful culinary experience

20/10/2025: Very beautiful place and good, plentiful food... but we honestly waited a bit too long for the desserts, especially since they weren't elaborate. It could have been a bit of a hectic day, but that's understandable... the only flaw is that they don't provide a paper menu with the prices of the dishes (they list them verbally), but there was only the wine list. Obviously, you can ask. However, in my opinion, a written menu should be provided with the prices and the various allergens, especially because when you pay, you don't know how much your meal actually costs... I didn't like this... and then you absolutely have to have a suitable car, otherwise you have to walk up because with the road full of rocks and various potholes, you risk leaving your car there if you're not a good driver, and in any case, it's very narrow if you find a car coming from the opposite direction, making the situation a bit complicated. So, you eat very well, but plan well before going!

26/02/2026: We go to this restaurant often because my boyfriend is celiac, and we've finally found some truly delicious gluten-free sandwiches here, made with top-quality ingredients. The rest of the menu is also delicious, with carefully selected, seasonal dishes. Plus, there's a huge selection of beers for all tastes (including gluten-free). Highly recommended! 🍔🍺

The experience is accompanied by an excellent selection of wines, designed to enhance each course. The only flaw? My guests kept bothering me... but only to tell me how magnificent they thought everything was! But I was certain. When you create something with passion, it shows. And it shows.

The service was attentive and professional, despite the crowds. The menu is well-curated, with excellent options for those seeking gluten-free or lactose-free dishes—a highly appreciated rarity. The dishes were elegantly presented, with attention to detail. A perfect choice for a special evening in Varese. We'll definitely be back!

26/01/2026: I went there yesterday with my family. It's a nice little place, with a great theme. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. I was impressed by the kindness of the staff, especially Marco, a uniquely friendly gentleman, who stood out for his kindness and helpfulness. He made us feel at ease from the first minute. We'll definitely be back.

08/03/2026: Stayed with family over the weekend of March 6-8. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming: the common areas were just a bit "lived in," yet well-maintained and clean. The room was cozy and spacious: a comfortable bed, an excellent and manageable temperature, and amenities beyond our expectations. The location was perfect: right on the edge of the pedestrian area. The restaurant is fantastic, and after our first dinner, we never changed because of the authentic and balanced flavor (tagliatelle with meat sauce, ossobuco with polenta, a welcome appetizer, and complimentary limoncello). It's clear that the entire team has put in a lot of care, professionalism, and grace. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dried fruit and cereals, and on Sundays, cakes galore. You can tell when someone loves their job. If I were to return to Varese 100 times, I'd always stay at the Hotel Bologna.
