18/03/2026: Among the best pizzas in the area, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is the tables at the entrance, which are very close to the door, but that can be overlooked! Highly recommended.

12/03/2026: Wonderful atmosphere, ancient stone building and authentic, romantic and warm design. Excellent service even for English speakers. And excellent food. We ordered a cheese and sausage platter, meat-filled ravioli, pizza with chestnuts, caramelized onions and brie and pizza with buffalo cheese and basil. For dessert we had a warm chocolate cake and a chocolate cake with pears. The dishes were delicious, perfect in terms of seasoning. We enjoyed it very much

15/03/2026: This year too, we went to Armonica for my partner's birthday, and we felt at home, in a refined and peaceful atmosphere, with fantastic staff and excellent food. It's become a tradition.

22/02/2026: Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. Spectacular location, with plenty of dining rooms so there's never too many people in the same space. Spectacular food and top-notch service. If you're in the area, stop by; if you don't know where else to go, go here.

03/04/2026: I was in Busto Arsizio to visit a dear uncle, and before taking the train, I wanted to try a typical restaurant. Osteria Dul Tarlisu lived up to my expectations for authentic local cuisine, and the waiter was incredibly helpful, kindly advising my partner and I on our choice of dishes and wine. From what I gathered, the selection of meats and wines is their strong point, making them definitely worth trying. My only criticism is perhaps the bill: it was higher than we expected, but probably justified by the quality of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the photos don't include the saffron risotto.

06/04/2026: We had lunch at Villa Baroni on Easter Monday. The property offers limited parking, but a few meters ahead, there are two free public parking lots. Because it was a special day, the restaurant was very crowded, and the wait was a bit long (but we weren't in a hurry, so it didn't bother us). The only downside was that some waiters, one in particular, was running (literally) around the room. The food was delicious; the raw fish appetizer was excellent; we highly recommend it. The view is beautiful, and after lunch, we stopped by the pool to soak up some rays. That part of the property is also very beautiful. We'll definitely be back.

31/03/2026: We celebrated our wedding at this restaurant on Lake Varese with about 20 people, and we were truly delighted. The menu was well thought out, the dishes were of excellent quality and carefully prepared, and the service was efficient, friendly, and always attentive. All our guests had a wonderful time. We definitely recommend this place for special occasions.

27/01/2026: Positive experience. Superb welcome from the owner, who immediately puts you at ease with his simple jokes. There are solutions for every dietary requirement. It's good value for money given the dishes offered. The only flaw, if I had to find one, was that it was a bit cold.

11/03/2026: One star because we chose the daily menu and ordered two main courses. The leaflet specified that drinks were not included, but it didn't specify the cover charge, which consisted of two paper placemats for a total of €2.50 per person. A new experience that will lead me from now on to always ask what was included and what wasn't.

07/03/2026: The food was very good. The waiter, an older man with an earring and sunglasses, was very unpleasant. If he's working in a restaurant as a punishment, he should change jobs. Because of the service, I won't be going back, which is a shame because the food is delicious.

21/03/2026: My team and I went to this lovely lakeside restaurant during a business trip. The food and wine were good. I tried the beef tagliata and ossobuco with polenta, both very good. The menu features a wide variety of local products, which are presented and explained, encouraging you to try them. The service was also very attentive and friendly. We've been back several times because feeling "at home" on a business trip is anything but a given! See you next time, guys.

03/04/2026: A business lunch in a pleasant and discreet setting. The dishes were interesting, but the service was subpar. The waiters were poorly trained, and the wrinkled polo shirts didn't make a good impression. Overall, it's worth a stop; we'll be back.

09/04/2026: Staff like the worst in Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares! Awful staff - waitress like an angry twisted wasp - so rude. You can’t order a drink when you arrive. Go somewhere else please. We have previously eaten at Cerva restaurant ( just round the corner ) which is very good but decided to give Samarcanda a try. Big mistake. Previous reviews had commented about the very bad attitude of the staff and they were so right! We arrived and were shown to our table. Waitress appeared after ten minutes - very sullen and grumpy. Asked if we were ready to order. We said not quite but can we order a bottle of wine and water while we decide. She said no - everything has to be ordered at once. We were a bit confused - are you saying we can’t order drinks while we look at the menu? We had walked round from the Holiday Inn so were a bit parched for water She was very rude - and insisted everything to be ordered at once. “So we can’t order drinks and starters and decide what we want after? Are you serious?” We decided we would leave. She got really nasty and walked away shouting abuse about us. I don’t speak Italian but do speak Spanish and the languages are similar enough to get an idea of the insults she was shouting. She was really being rude. We eat out a lot (maybe 3 or 4 times a week) and we have come to realise that a bad attitude at the start only gets worse. So we now reckon, if something is bad, just cash your chips and walk out! So that’s what we did! A man behind the bar asked us what had happened. We started telling him and the nasty waitress rushed up and started shouting over us. We were trying to explain we had just wanted to order a drink before ordering food - but waitress kept on shouting! The man behind counter was telling her to go away - and so were we. I told him - look at her behaviour - it’s like having a mosquito around you - she was jumping around shouting and shrieking like an angry wasp. Kind of hilarious actually - a bit Fawlty Towers. The guy kept trying to get rid of her, holding his hand up and pointing to her to go away and asking what happened. We thought the guy might sit us somewhere else and find us another waitress but when we finally managed to explain what had happened - and asked can we order drinks with food afterwards, he just shrugged. So we left….. To be honest, they probably did us a favour. We went to Cerva down the road where the server was on her own serving about ten tables but she was super efficient smiley, happy and welcoming. The Cerva food was excellent - like really home cooked, delicious quality and generous portions. Great wine only €10 for a litre carafe. Cerva is all round much much better than Samarcanda. The environment is a little more like a cafe - but the experience was excellent and there are lots of locals and friendly people in there - always a good sign. As I mentioned, we eat out a lot, and recognise that it’s not just the food - it’s the entire experience. I don’t know if the food is good or bad at Samarcanda- but it wouldn’t matter - I wouldn’t eat there again on our next trip through Milan and would definitely not recommend it. There is no point at all going out and paying money to eat with a waitress behaving like an angry wasp - so Samarcanda is up there as one of our worst ding out experiences. Do not - definitely NOT recommend!

09/03/2026: What a wonderful discovery! I fell in love with it! From the moment you enter, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere, with attention to every detail. The staff was incredibly kind, never intrusive but always present. We ate divinely: traditional dishes revisited with a touch of originality and the freshest ingredients. Excellent value. I'll definitely be back!

10/04/2026: Truly a beautiful place, very good food, both risotto and polenta, and lake fish. Excellent service from the truly professional waiters. The toad swimming happily in the pond gave me a sense of relaxation ahead of summer.

06/04/2026: Excellent experience, a five-star Easter lunch. The menu was well-chosen, cooked, and served. The location is very clean and well-maintained, nestled in the pine forest and surrounded by a beautiful lake (where members can go sport fishing). We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
