As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and full of character: wood details, vintage objects, and an intimate setting that makes you feel comfortable right away. The food is the real highlight: classic Lombard dishes executed properly, without unnecessary twists. The risotto (especially with ossobuco) is among the best in the area, and the meat dishes are equally well-prepared and flavorful. You can tell there’s real attention to ingredients and a clear, consistent menu focused on local cuisine. The wine selection is also well curated — not overly extensive, but perfectly aligned with the style of the kitchen. Service is friendly and genuine: they make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. At times, service can be slightly slow, but nothing that takes away from the overall experience. Prices are fair for the quality (roughly €30–50 per person), and fully justified by what you get. In short: a solid, authentic place with no unnecessary frills — just great food done right. Perfect if you’re looking for true Lombard cuisine.

I was in Busto Arsizio to visit a dear uncle, and before taking the train, I wanted to try a typical restaurant. Osteria Dul Tarlisu lived up to my expectations for authentic local cuisine, and the waiter was incredibly helpful, kindly advising my partner and I on our choice of dishes and wine. From what I gathered, the selection of meats and wines is their strong point, making them definitely worth trying. My only criticism is perhaps the bill: it was higher than we expected, but probably justified by the quality of the ingredients. Unfortunately, the photos don't include the saffron risotto.

It's the ideal place if you're looking for a casual yet characterful atmosphere. Moving on to the food, we ordered traditional classics. The risotto was perfectly cooked and very flavorful, and the meat was tender, just as you'd expect in a place like this. You can tell the ingredients are carefully selected and there's a strong connection to the local area. However, the wait times were a bit inconsistent: between the appetizer and the main course, we waited a bit too long, even though the place wasn't completely full. The staff is friendly and approachable, making you feel at home, even if they sometimes seem a bit rushed. As for the bill, I'd say it's fair for the quality, although some individual dishes are perhaps slightly above average for the quantity. In short: an excellent choice for those who love traditional cuisine and want to escape from the same old, modern restaurants. I'd definitely return to try the other dishes on the menu, perhaps hoping for a little quicker service.
