28/11/2025: The ideal place to buy pastries, baked goods, have breakfast, or simply enjoy a sweet treat with their amazing croissants. Everything is delicious, with a wide selection. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. A must try.

10/11/2025: Really good food, freshly made. It does take a bit longer, but it's worth the wait. The atmosphere is beautiful, with a view of the Ticino River across the street.

09/11/2025: We went to this restaurant this year for my daughter's confirmation. We had agreed on the menu a few weeks in advance, but during lunch, a fish appetizer was forgotten. I mentioned this at checkout, but they didn't show any availability: the lady, rather rudely, replied that the price had already been agreed upon. I was disappointed: if they had paid more attention to the customer, they should have at least deducted the price of the appetizer, which costs around €14-18 per person à la carte. I didn't think this was fair, although I'm not one to argue. I'm sorry, but I wasn't satisfied with either the food or the service. I only compliment the waiters, who were very kind and attentive, but otherwise, the cuisine needs updating.

29/09/2025: How wonderful! An enchanting place, where the welcome is warm and familiar, the service attentive, and every dish is a discovery of taste and refinement. The experience is accompanied by an excellent selection of wines, designed to enhance each course. The only flaw? My guests kept bothering me... but only to tell me how magnificent they thought everything was! But I was certain. When you create something with passion, it shows. And it shows.

21/12/2025: The location is beautiful, very spacious and welcoming. The service is impeccable: I mentioned that a guest was lactose-allergic, and they immediately addressed any food-related issues, advising us on which dishes we could and could not eat, or even changing ingredients for different dishes. I'm not giving the food a full review, as there were a few dishes I wasn't entirely sold on, like the paccheri alla matriciana (the guanciale should have been crispier to give the sauce a different flavor). Otherwise, the venue is a great place for ceremonies, business dinners, and large events. The parking lot is very large.

06/12/2025: A surprisingly good restaurant opposite Luino train station. Although all the tables were reserved on Friday evening, the friendly waiter managed to get us a seat near the kitchen. The food was excellent, as were the drinks and the service. Tip: You should definitely order the fish here! We'll be back.

23/12/2025: This campsite on Lake Maggiore absolutely delighted us. The location is simply unbeatable – just steps from the lake. Dogs are welcome (please check the website for the dates!). From our pitch, we had a fantastic view and could enjoy the sunrise over the water every morning. The campsite facilities are excellent: modern showers, always clean toilets, and even a small restaurant with delicious Italian dishes. What we particularly liked was the peaceful atmosphere, which makes the campsite an ideal place to relax, as well as its proximity to towns like Stresa, which can be reached in a short time. Perfect for anyone who wants to combine nature, tranquility, and comfort. A definite favorite for us!

16/12/2025: Years ago in Cassano, people would go to San Giuseppe, where there was a bar, play bocce, and dance outside in the summer. Today, there's this wonderful Grotto del Sorriso, which, in addition to its important social impact, is a truly valuable restaurant. You can eat well at reasonable prices, and the service is exceptional. You can also buy the cooperative's products, and the proceeds help the young people who, despite their varying challenges, work together to deliver excellent results. Considering Cassano's limited restaurant options, the Grotto is a place that combines ethics, variety, flavor, pleasure, and indulgence!

The place is very quaint, just like an old-fashioned osteria, and beautifully decorated with plenty of personality. A truly excellent experience. Water, first course, second course, and dessert are €20.

13/12/2025: A delightful discovery thanks to a friend. A restaurant where you can eat truly excellently, with even sophisticated, Michelin-starred dishes like spaghetti with orange-infused butter and shrimp tartare or braised bacon. The dessert is also a must-try: peach and mascarpone tart, incredibly light despite the mascarpone. If you're in Varese, go there.

14/12/2025: A fantastic experience at Cherì, a seafood restaurant I absolutely recommend. We started with a mix of raw and hot appetizers, all delicious: the raw seafood was incredibly fresh and of the highest quality. This was followed by a spectacular pan-fried dish with whole lobster, scampi, corn on the cob, and prawns: a rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked dish. To conclude, spaghetti with clams, scampi, and bottarga—simply exceptional. A balance of flavors that made the whole experience unique. Definitely worth repeating. Kudos to the staff and the kitchen!

13/12/2025: A refined and quiet place, but equally suitable for anyone who appreciates good seafood. The rosemary scampi are exceptional, without detracting from the rest of the dishes. The portions are large... compared to other restaurants. Something to keep in mind when ordering. Congratulations to everyone.

04/02/2026: Tried it on Monday for a last-minute family dinner without a reservation. We walked in and, to our pleasant surprise, were seated downstairs at a table next to a small room used as a children's room with toys and other necessities, so we could eat in peace and let our daughter play. The young, friendly staff were attentive to every request, which is definitely not a given these days. The food was good, with an excellent selection of meat, fish, and pizza, and the quality and price were reasonable. The chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream cups and raspberry mousse was a real highlight—it's not to be missed. Next time we're in Florence, we'll definitely be back. If I really had to find a flaw, it would be missing a children's menu, but that's okay. Recommended.

02/01/2026: Everything was good, and the service was excellent. The only thing that really bothered me was that they presented you with a drinks menu where, among the gin and tonic choices, there were several types, but in reality they only served one, the agricultural one that they advertise so much and that's the only way to sell it because no one cares. Plus, they have this way of describing gin, in my case "della madonna" (goodness), which actually means nothing other than "agricultural." So why fool the customer like this? I also find that insignificant bottle where they put the amount of gin horrifying, don't worry, no one will steal it from you.
