So today was a strange experience. Let's start by saying that the location and everything were beautiful, the food was truly delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable and made you feel right at home. In this regard, I recommend it to everyone. However, I'm sorry to have to be completely honest when I say that... once we arrived, we were given two menus: one à la carte, the other was a sort of combo menu with an appetizer, a first/second course, and coffee, water, and a cover charge included (I want to emphasize this fact). Once we got to the register, we paid and then checked the receipt... and there we found a surprise: we'd been charged for two coffees and four covers... I don't know whether to see it as a clever move or a lack of attention, but the fact is that it wasn't very nice... obviously, I pointed this out to whoever might have been the owner (but I'm not sure) and got my money back. Continuing to check the receipt, we saw that the truffle tartare cost €16... but on the receipt it was €18, but I was kind enough not to return it a second time. Attention everyone, always check your receipts. Of course, I'll attach all the photos now.

Three of us went for a snack. The place is in a very quiet location, perfect in the summer because it's a little cooler than in the city. We really appreciated the variety on the menu, which isn't a given for a simple snack. Also, a very positive note was the friendliness of the staff. We were served by the tattooed guy who was very pleasant to talk to and was extra helpful. It was thanks to his excellent service that we were inspired to leave a great review.

I recommend avoiding this restaurant during the summer, or when they set up all the tables outside and the kitchen/service suffers. I made a reservation for four people on Tuesday for lunch the following Sunday. I noted in the notes that I am celiac. We were seated at two small, round bar tables that, placed side by side, were our lunch spot... OK... Spartan, but nothing special... After a reasonable amount of time, we ordered a mixed platter and a main course each. The platter was average, but the wait for the main course was interminable. I asked for gluten-free bread: there wasn't any. I ordered the free-range chicken roll with peppers: avoid it! The desserts were announced out loud, a long list impossible to memorize for a simple choice... we ordered four iced iced coffees. The sun, which this summer gives no respite even at Campo dei Fiori, peeks through the umbrellas, and the much-needed refreshment disappears. We'll be back in the winter; there are just a few tables and the stove is on. I believe and hope that the service will be more accurate and the cuisine more attentive.

At Campo dei Fiori, excellent service. Homemade tarts. Authentic, seasonal food. Cool little spot with outdoor seating. Off the beaten path.

We've been there a couple of times in the past few weeks, once for lunch and last night for dinner. Both times, we sat outside in a green and relaxing setting, with a perfect temperature to counteract the stifling heat we've been experiencing in the city these days. Every dish we tried, from appetizers to main courses, delighted our palates. Plus, the staff were very attentive and friendly. I'd say it was an EXCELLENT experience.
