30/09/2025: I don't know how many times I've been to Barbesina over the years, through my work. I've photographed many weddings, baptisms, and parties, and I know the place very well. Surrounded by nature, with a staff that I'd say is nothing short of exceptional. Helpful, kind, and top-notch, as was the food.

31/08/2025: I stopped here recently, sitting at the tables outside; of course, there's seating inside too. I had a truffle and a drink, but there were obviously other types of desserts, brioches, granitas, etc. Sooner or later I'll try other things. Anyway, it seemed like a quality and well-run place, located right on one of the sides of the entrance to the central streets of Pavia, with the beautiful historic covered bridge of Pavia behind it. The girl who served me was courteous. Recommended.
24/08/2025: I tried the Sicilian granita about 20 days ago, I found it different, good, delicious, the cream was something exceptional, we always stopped at the bar before, but we intended to stop at Na Ranita on our next visits, here there is quality and above all kindness, customer care, things that as I said earlier were latent in the other establishments visited.

16/11/2025: On Sundays, there's a six-course set menu, all very good traditional dishes. The risotto in particular was truly well-made, flavorful yet delicate. The ravioli with stew were excellent. The roast pork neck with potatoes was top-notch, and the guinea fowl was also excellent. The semifreddo was truly delicious; they chose traditional fare over the "usual" classic tiramisu, and I really enjoyed it. Recommended!

20/10/2025: Tried it on October 18th for dinner. Despite having booked two days in advance, we had to wait half an hour before being seated. As a partial excuse, I must say that it was Saturday, right in the heart of Pavia's nightlife, so a bit of a wait is to be expected. The staff were friendly, service was fairly quick, and the menu offered a wide selection of both fish and meat dishes (I personally had the seafood salad, which I rate as 5-star, and a 4-seasons pizza). They also had a wide selection of wood-fired pizzas (including pan pizzas, which they call baby), and a good selection of desserts. Drinks were also plentiful (wines, beers). Since we also did takeout, the wait for pizza was longer than usual.
19/10/2025: Poor service, little respect for customers, and subpar food. If you really want to find something positive, they have legume soup as a vegetarian option.
