The ambiance is rustic and charming, with the perfect balance of cozy and elegant. The food? Out of this world. The carbonara was easily the best I’ve ever had — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of pancetta and pecorino. No shortcuts here — just traditional Italian excellence. And the steak… wow. Cooked to perfection, juicy, and incredibly flavorful with a gorgeous sear. You can tell they take pride in sourcing quality ingredients and preparing them with real care. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt personal and heartfelt. La Carbonella is more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of authentic Italian cooking done right. We’ll be back again and highly recommend eating here.

22/07/2025: I'd say much more than a bar! Excellent restaurant. We didn't have high expectations, but my sister and I had a more than worthy lunch. First of all, you can request menu changes, which isn't a given, and secondly, the pasta was cooked just right! Well-made dishes, unpretentious but plentiful. It's a shame they didn't have a homemade tart, but maybe next time! Very kind and courteous service, clean spaces, and a lovely view of the park.

The service was slow and not very polite: I waited over 20 minutes for a simple coffee, and when I asked for information kindly, the staff responded in a surly way. The place was dirty, with uncleared tables and a sticky floor. The quality of the products leaves much to be desired: the coffee was burnt and the croissant was clearly industrial. High prices compared to the quality offered. I honestly don't understand the positive reviews: perhaps management or habits have changed, but I certainly won't go back. If I could I would give 0 stars.

A platter with two slices of Bologna and two slices of prosciutto, half a mozzarella, a triangle of aged Gorgonzola cheese, on a bed of lettuce, a few tomato wedges, and cucumber slices. A plate of mixed salad: lettuce leaves, tomato slices, a strip of carrot. A plate of sliced ​​focaccia with the usual salad and a few spoonfuls of soft cheeses, nothing exceptional. Finally, a plate of grilled meat on a bed of roast potatoes: a skewer, a few sausages, and a sliced ​​steak with lots of sinew. The quality of the cuisine wasn't very high. Red wine in a carafe, very popular. A coffee and a dessert. All for €34. Nothing exceptional.

04/08/2025: MANDATORY EDIT! We came back for Chinese food. We sat down, ordered, and ate. Shortly afterward, I felt like ordering two dumplings. I WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE THAT! The bob-haired waitress told me, "Hey, it'll take 20-25 minutes," so I said no, I wouldn't order them. Immediately afterward, she continued, "You always do that, order later!" But who knows you? I've only been here a few times. Meanwhile, she gave me a dirty look, so I turned my head and avoided the confrontation. So we finished our drinks and headed for the cashier. Meanwhile, the bob-haired lady followed me with her eyes, speaking Chinese, and she didn't seem friendly! She basically walked us out, AS IF I WERE A THIEF!!! We paid and left. Moral of the story: IF I CAN ORDER JUST ONCE, TELL ME OR WRITE IT ON THE MENU! Damn, it's a restaurant, I'm there to eat! I should have argued with this lady, but I don't feel like it! Waste of time. We didn't deserve this treatment!

20/05/2025: we ordered chicken, potatoes and chicken wings for home delivery. first of all the packaging is noticeable and it already makes the difference. the quality is really good, the chicken is soft, well cooked and not particularly salty so very digestible, the wings are good and tasty. next time we will certainly try some marinades too. very good! well done

14/05/2025: Right this is the locals Italian Chinese, more suited the Italian palette than a Brits. But for less that 20 Euros I got a starter, main and rice with a pot of Jasmine tea and water. Was it the best Chinese I've ever had? certainly not, but it was ok.

05/06/2025: Eravamo in gruppo, una trentina, di cui metà bambini, ma ciononostante il servizio è stato abbastanza buono. Menù monumentale, un intero volume, con pagine e pagine di proposte, il che mi fa sempre sorgere qualche dubbio. La pizza non era un gran che, bruciacchiata, pomodoro acquoso, ustionante, però disponibile in un'infinità di scelte. Buona la birra.

04/05/2025: Egal, was wir bestellt haben, es war alles super frisch und unglaublich lecker. Der Service sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Schönes Ambiente. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir waren drei Abenden hintereinander dort und mussten dann leider nach Hause.
