25/11/2025: We came from Varese to run an errand in Brescia, and we searched online for a place to have a business lunch... we stumbled upon this. It's a shame I didn't read the reviews, because the same thing happened to us as another customer a week ago. We arrived with a group of local workers, but were placed alone in a separate room (did the manager notice our lack of a Brescian accent?). We were brought an A4 sheet of paper with a list of dishes without even a price. We asked for a menu with prices, the manager mumbled something, and brought us another sheet of paper with the same dishes, again without corresponding prices but with prices ranging from-to, like a list of first courses from €8 to €16. We asked for the business menu, and the manager said they don't do it, yet the other room was full of Brescians who were gobbling up the business menu. We left. As we were leaving, I stopped a man who was just entering and asked, "Don't they do a business menu?" He replies yes, they do... I counter by saying that the manager told us they don't, perhaps because we're foreigners? The man, clearly embarrassed, asks me if we had reservations. A joke, shameful. A little further on, we had a good lunch at another place with a business menu offered to all workers, not just locals. I've been thinking about this all day, this behavior seemed so absurd and disgusting.

27/11/2025: Quick service, clean environment, but the daily menu was absurd. The first course was fine, which, unpretentious as it may be, might have made sense, but the second course was a no-no. You can't serve cod fingers and crab claws in surimi, fried with tasteless and greasy chips, or two slices of awful cooked ham with half a mozzarella and a side of chips 😩. Menu for €15, all-inclusive.

16/10/2025: A very pleasant place, delicious, the meat melts in your mouth. For dessert, choose the panna cotta e semifreddo.

03/11/2025: Quite a pricy place for lunch despite a mediocre quality of food and presentation. We ordered the zucchini flowers and pike and polenta. The flowers were nice but a bit salty. Meanwhile the pike was served all chopped up, so it was not very presentable. There were fish bones in it too. The polenta tasted like university canteen quality. Coperto was 4 euro per person, although there was decent service. Also, due to bad ventilation, the cigarette smoke from the single smoking table outside went inside all the time. It is not enjoyable to eat with smoke surrounding your food.

01/11/2025: A truly welcoming place, with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The staff is kind and attentive, always ready to recommend the daily specials. The cuisine is traditional but with attention to detail: generous portions, quality ingredients, and authentic flavors. The meat-based main courses are excellent, cooked to perfection. A good selection of local wines. The quality-price ratio is excellent! If you're in Sirmione, this is definitely a place to try.

02/11/2025: As for the gems: this small restaurant in Gargnano is nestled in a narrow alleyway near the town center, close to the lakefront and the charming little harbor. Wow! Dinner was a truly enjoyable experience. A few dishes, made with quality ingredients and excellent workmanship, expertly prepared by the chef. A good selection of wines, including by the glass. The service was welcoming, friendly, yet always professional. Well done!

07/10/2025: We came here today to try some food. The food was fantastic. For starters, we had a superbly sliced ​​beef tartare. The Garda trout tartare was also well prepared. For main course, we had gnocchi and a tomato salad with anchovies in a melon emulsion. Everything was excellent. The red wine we chose was a perfect match: a Rosso di Montalcini from Baricci. Highly recommended. Very good value for money.

23/10/2025: Dinner with friends. One of the few places where I've eaten well lately. My friends and I tried the "gnocco fritto all you can eat" for the first time. The gnocco was very good, served hot, not too salty, and almost not greasy at all. It was accompanied by generous amounts of high-quality cured meats, very good cheeses, and lightly seasoned vegetables. The homemade desserts were very good; I tried the tiramisu with homemade mascarpone and crushed biscuit crumble. The place was very well-kept and clean, with the perfect balance between rustic and elegant. The table setting was well-thought out, and the service was impeccable. We'll definitely be back to try the dishes.

15/11/2025: Very friendly and competent service. Excellent menu. A truly delicious tasting menu, garnished with surprises (amuse-bouche, fruit bowl, and sweets to accompany the coffee). We highly recommend this restaurant. Online table reservations are available! Parking is available nearby. Compliments to the kitchen and service staff. Excellent value for money. Good wine list.

02/11/2025: We had dinner at La Dolce Vita as a couple and had a truly excellent evening. The food was delicious, the atmosphere very pleasant and welcoming, but what made the experience truly special was the service: the waiter was impeccable, kind, and attentive to every detail. I've never been treated so well in all of Italy. A true example of hospitality and professionalism. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: We were encouraged by the many positive reviews to eat at Osteria Da Livio. The ambiance is cozy and rustic, the service friendly, but the food was a disappointment: we had pasta with porcini mushrooms for our primi piatti and grilled chicken for our main course. The pasta was okay (but nothing more), but the chicken was extremely dry (of course, poultry needs to be cooked thoroughly, but this was more than enough). Unfortunately, we both had mild diarrhea the following night (neither of us are prone to gastrointestinal problems), most likely from the meal, as it was our arrival day, we had breakfast at home, and hadn't eaten anything on the way.

18/10/2025: Never tried pastrami before... What a wonderful introduction! So many choices, excellent ingredients, and a varied and delicious selection of fried snacks—you can't be disappointed. The meat is tender, juicy, and flavorful, but never overpowering. The combinations really enhance it, and eating a sandwich becomes pure pleasure. The owner was extremely helpful and kind, even though we had booked at practically hospital hours (7:00 PM). What a wonderful experience!
