09/11/2025: Two stars because the place is very nice, but otherwise our experience was less than satisfactory. We had lunch for two: a toasted sandwich, a cheese sandwich with ham and salad, and a bottle of water. Total: €48. You be the judge. I believe the high price is due to the fact that we asked for ham and salad to go with the cheese, which on the menu was €10. The amount of ham served (very good) was at least 100 grams, truly excessive for what we requested (2-3 slices). I'm not surprised the price went up, but they didn't honor our request. The toasted sandwich was also unfortunately very disappointing. The toasted bread was cold, the filling cold and scant, tasteless. The grilled cheese was also slightly burned and therefore bitter, and arrived lukewarm. In short, a terrible dining experience. Sitting at a table in a bar, with glasses that smelled like they'd been dishwasher-fresh, the bill was €48. Never again.

29/10/2025: Brioches for 2.50, so many flavors! Nothing special for me! I eat much better ones, definitely from southern Italian bakeries, more affordable and tastier.

05/10/2025: We went last night for dinner and it was practically impossible to eat the various sushi due to the overcooked rice, but the rest was edible. The owner, informed of the incident, did not correct the situation in any way, demonstrating disrespect towards the customers. The price advertised online was around 20 euros, but in reality, even though we only ordered water, it was around 30 euros. Not recommended, and we won't be returning.

09/09/2025: This is my fifth time there, and I have to say the place is truly beautiful. They recently renovated it, and it's very elegant now. Some dishes were delicious, while others were a bit salty, but overall everything was good. The only flaw was the service, which was really slow: I waited about 20 minutes for my first course. Despite this, I recommend it because the menu is very extensive and offers many more options than other restaurants.

But this, aside from my opinion on the matter, doesn't matter; Vio doesn't take away the fact that it's a commercial establishment, and the best. 30/04/2025: I'm reposting my review as it has been removed (my compliments!). We've already filed a complaint with the Italian Competition Authority (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza del Mercato) because the prices displayed are inaccurate and you'll end up paying more. Here's the text of the complaint: On March 9, 2025, I went to "SKI Bar La Baracca" for breakfast. I chose a slice of cake listed on the menu above the register at the price of €4.50. However, when I paid, I was asked for a different price, €5.00. I immediately informed the staff of the discrepancy between the displayed price and the actual price, but they told me the price list wasn't up to date. My comment was met with a very pedantic reply, "It's normal; we don't update it every time." Having established that this constitutes a violation of the Consumer Code, the staff neither provided an explanation nor corrected the price. I believe this behavior constitutes an unfair commercial practice, pursuant to Article 18 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, and I wonder if other customers have been subject to the same irregularity.

As italians they don't know how to create a proper carbonara...Here, they seem to use panna(!) and faraona - instead of the original eggs and parmigiano for the sugo and no real pancetta, not even roasted... The pasta had no taste at all! Answer: Very rude - to call one of your guests to be a liar. But taste does not lie! If you can sound like a cookbook, why don't you simply cook really italian?

21/09/2025: I stopped here by chance on my way back from Montecampione by bike, and I had a great time. Eating outside is very pleasant with a beautiful view of the valley. The homemade pumpkin ravioli and strudel are delicious. The service is friendly and fast. The price is reasonable.

10/06/2025: Passing through Carpenedolo, I stop at this takeaway pizzeria that also presents itself as a piadina shop. I go in and ask for the menu, but they tell me they don't have one yet. Not very professional, but I decide to order a piadina with bresaola, rocket and parmesan anyway. The dough is good, thick but crunchy and soft at the same time. Too bad about the filling: only 4 very thin slices of bresaola, practically no parmesan and an exaggerated amount of rocket. The result? You can only taste the dough and rocket, no balance in the flavors. All for 8.50 euros. I'll also add a detail that can't be ignored: whoever prepared the piadina had visibly black and dirty hands. Unacceptable, especially for a restaurant-related business. Disappointing experience, I won't be back.
