22/02/2025: Quite nice location but the service is very rude and makes you anxious by forgetting the order, the food is quite good, shame about the service and the surrounding environment full of elderly people so not recommended for young people

25/03/2025: Be careful if you stay with Smartbox, as read in many other reviews, the structure applies additional costs, which are not reported, not even during the booking phase (€30 for long weekends). In my case, reading the other reviews, I specifically requested information about it and only then was I informed. I find this way of working not very transparent, to be kind. I don't dispute the extra costs but they must be reported at the time of booking. I don't even find it correct to purchase the dinner package to avoid paying the additional cost, if I'm not interested in dinner it's not a solution anyway. As regards the structure, I don't allow myself to judge as I canceled my reservation before staying. I hope that after yet another review reporting the same problem, the property will be careful to inform future customers of their additional costs.

15/08/2024: Poor ice cream, the fruit flavors are frozen, they look like granita rather than ice cream, the biscuits are from the discount store. Very low quality, exaggerated price.

09/04/2025: La location è davvero da incanto forse una delle migliori d'Italia (e non sto esagerando), la cucina è elaborata ma manca di sapore e non ci sono piatti veramente speciali tipo crudité di pesce o fiorentine o simili, insomma niente di particolare, servizio letteralmente "da pizzeria, camerieri giovani e poco esperti, eleganti e anche cortesi ma in un posto così ci vuole ben altro, non presentano il piatto e sembra quasi che abbiano paura di te. Peccato perché una location così andrebbe sfruttata decisamente meglio!

17/03/2025: La bebida aperitivo era bueno. La comida estaba bien. El vino estaba bien. El servicio fue miserable. No nos ofrecieron probar el vino, y nadie preguntó cómo estaba la comida. El maître d’ se disculpó y culpó a lo ocupados que estaban. Hay mejores y más agradables alternativas en Bergamo.

09/11/2024: Informale ed onestamente non ricchissimo di offerte proprietaria coi sorrisi compensa i più giovani collaboratori seriosi...un consiglio non richiesto:se un cliente alla cassa sostiene aver preso un cappuccino non chiedere se abbia preso anche una brioche perché automaticamente si sta mettendo in dubbio le sue parole...gli si dà sostanzialmente del ladro (per la cronaca ..avevo preso solo un cappuccino)

15/10/2024: Compared to a few years ago where I bought with my eyes closed both for quality and abundance, now sweets have been reduced in size but increased in price. Even a 4 year old child notices it and I'll tell you everything. Muffins that previously weighed 150g at least now barely weigh 100g at a cost of 3.50 euros each. If you do this, we long-time customers will leave too. Thank you

08/12/2024: Terrible experience. We ordered 1 piadina and a toasted sandwich. Inedible. Hard as marble. At the checkout I point this out and the waitress or bartender replies in kind: "You must understand that it's Sunday" as if it were my problem! In the meantime I paid the bill. Without ifs or buts. She at the checkout, zero courtesy. You don't talk to colleagues and leave people at the register. I wonder where the owners are in these cases. Perhaps instead of talking, my colleagues would clear the table and not get the order wrong, like mine. Having said that, heartfelt congratulations for the lack of education and professionalism of the staff. Never again. Ah yes, I don't accept poor service and rudeness in any business. Terrible bathroom and hygiene.

06/12/2024: I stopped with my mother attracted by the name "Pasticceria" but it has nothing of a pastry shop. The cake of the day is pre-packaged, the brioches don't visually appeal to you as they should and they are certainly not made by them because the pastry dough is very different. While we were sitting in the room a girl was sweeping the floor... zero education and respect. I understand the table where some gentlemen stood up for lunch to remove the crumbs but I also don't do almost the entire room. I will never set foot there again, for sure. The lady at the counter always with her back to the door doesn't give a good impression, on the contrary.

16/09/2024: Questa baita è in una delle valli più belle della zona. Facilmente raggiungibile in un’oretta di cammino tra boschi e cascate. Però il cibo…proprio no. 4 piatti in croce (almeno il 14.9): pizzoccheri, polenta (fredda) con formaggio e cinghiale. Crostata inguardabile e caffè da moka riscaldato. Servizio molto freddo e distaccato. Mi dispiace, perché basterebbe metterci un po’ più di cuore e cura, e con il contesto in cui è avrebbe un gran potenziale.

16/12/2024: Cibo eccellente ..camerieri educati , una in particolare Chiara . ogni volta che passava chiedeva se andava tutto bene sempre col sorriso ( Ristorante super pulito ) Lo consiglio .

17/11/2024: Era già successo altre 2 volte che arrivassero cibi freddi , la penultima volta non è arrivato un quarto di quello ordinato e 2 cose erano fredde ( infatti poi ce ne siamo andati perché 40 minuti senza vedere niente era anche troppo , ok all you can eat ma intanto paghiamo lo stesso ) . Dopo qualche mese abbiamo voluto dare un altra opportunità : Moscardini freddi Patatine fredde Zucchine mia arrivate Gamberi sale e pepe freddi . Non soddisfatti . Spiace ma così non va bene , era stato già fatto notare in cassa . Per un bel po cambieremo sushi . 😔

14/04/2025: Never again.... after having witnessed a scene on Sunday 13th April from the elderly lady with glasses (always rude) towards one of her colleagues. She was really rude and mean and then in front of the customers. Bad example for those who are learning. We customers at the cash register felt really uncomfortable. From regular customer to lost customer. It's a shame because the coffee is very good but it's who is behind the counter who makes the difference.

04/04/2025: I recently returned to this place after a long time and I must say that I found a cheerful atmosphere very different from the one I knew. I drank an excellent cappuccino and the two guys at the counter were particularly attentive to customers, which is never a given, kind and smiling. A true sea port considering the location.

19/03/2025: Attracted by the atmosphere and the fixed-price menu, we had lunch as a couple in this place that inside has many vintage furnishings and pleasant background music that contrasts with the hasty and unwelcoming ways of the only person in charge of table service: for certain jobs you need a bit of predisposition and in this case there is none. The food, in terms of quantity and quality, is in line with the prices, to which you have to add 2.5 euros for table service per person and 2 euros for bread (2 euros also for the 0.5-liter plastic bottle of water). It would take very little to make a stop for a meal much more pleasant and captivating.

16/03/2025: We had lunch on a weekday following the menu of the day proposed by the structure... Particular place and suitable for the context of a town like Bergamo Alta; fast but careless, approximate and almost anxiolytic service; good food, well cooked but not cheap.

21/02/2025: I ordered a vegan empanada which did not taste good. When I spoke to the person who seemed to be in charge, he basically said, "well, we have this pamphlet that shows the ingredients and you should have looked at that." I told him that no one had showed me this pamphlet which was under the counter. He was like, too bad. Very unfriendly. Also the drink was nothing special and for this tiny inedible empanada and iced tea, the charge was $16. I will not be returning.

27/01/2025: Walked in for the need of a bathroom. At the counter there is a sign that states to use the bathroom, it’s $3 per person. I paid for a water so that my friend can use the bathroom. When we paid, she went to one side of the the door and so i went over to stand with her, but when i did that, a cashier stopped me and asked if i am going as well and that I have to pay. I told her that it was just my friend, the cashier then taps on the man whom I assume is security. He is intimidating looking to say the least… but when she tapped on his shoulder, he turned and said “you know you have to pay for the bathroom”, I then go “yeah I know, she is just going” he then says “good” and turns around, but it was the way he approached us that made me feel intimidated. This is illegal to say the least
