Prie Rosse is so good and welcoming that we've been coming back once a week. The ingredients are top-quality, from the tomatoes that truly taste like tomatoes, to the freshly grated cheese, and a truly amazing pesto, the best in the city.
The place is welcoming and the staff are extremely friendly, in a super central location in the alleyways of Genoa, one of the most beautiful parts of the city. For value, it's definitely one of the best restaurants in Genoa. Highly recommended!

It's my favorite restaurant. Quality food, and the chefs cook something different every day. In the winter, it's cozy and warm. In the summer, I sit in the Carruggio and enjoy the atmosphere of Genoa, which is even more beautiful from the Prie Rosse viewpoint.

We showed up without a reservation (730ish?) and were shown a choice of available tables by the floor manager (?), who was friendly and welcoming- which turned out to be typical for the lovely service staff- all of them watching and working together during the course of our visit. Food is creative and delicious- and as far as quality goes, I seriously considered ordering one of our appetizers (cod fritters) for my desert as well. If you needed to know anything else, I don’t know what that would be. Prices I’d say are typical for this class of restaurant, and I consider the value great, based on service and food quality. PS it’s really close to the Soprana gate, and has great atmosphere.
