06/07/2025: I thought long and hard about whether to apply here, because I really want it to remain an insider tip. You arrive and feel welcome. The hosts, Anna and Pino, really deserve 10 stars. The room was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and just what you'd imagine Italy to be. We were able to recharge our batteries here on our way to Rome, in this peaceful spot.

27/06/2025: Good food, lovely staff and beautiful remote location.

23/08/2025: It's now a regular stop when I go to the mountains to experience the deepest peace. The place is very welcoming, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the pizza whenever you visit. It's a delight for the palate, an explosion of flavors: soft, full of toppings, light, and delicious. Stop here because it's definitely worth it!

23/08/2025: It's not inviting from the outside (it's behind a petrol station) but instead I ate a fabulous fettuccine with mutton ragù, the grill and the starter were good, it's a shame there were no roast potatoes, we'll be back.

18/05/2025: I go there for a business lunch when I'm in Viterbo. Very friendly staff. Excellent food. I usually take a second course of fish, a vegetable, water and coffee for €25. I recommend it

15/05/2025: Eccezionale come sempre, mangiare in questo locale è una garanzia. Sale comode e tranquille e soprattutto pulite. Consiglio un antipasto misto che comprende molte prelibatezze, grandi classici del locale sono tagliolini all'astice e granchio e spaghetti alle vongole. Il vero exploit è la calamarata di pesce alla norma|! Il servizio è preciso e i tempi non sono affatto lunghi. Diciamo si può passare qui un'ottima serata degustando molte buone cose.

26/08/2025: Personally, I had a good time. Nice place, a bit of an old-fashioned trattoria, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The pizza is very thin, true, but good. The toppings are adequate and good. The fried foods were good. We went on a Saturday night...a little crowded and noisy...but bearable for me. There's an outdoor area where you can relax and enjoy a nice aperitif. They have good beers. Reasonable prices. As I always say...this is my opinion.

20/08/2025: Too bad. I was there for the first time in July, and everything was excellent, nothing to complain about. This evening was a tragedy: we sat down at 8:30 PM (as per our telephone reservation made on MONDAY), but after complaining, we ate our pizzas at around 9:45 PM. Furthermore, a gentleman came to our table—I don't know if he was the owner or someone else—and, in a threatening tone, complained that we had asked the wait staff a couple of times how long it would take to get these pizzas. Furthermore, the tone in which he kept claiming that he had told those who had booked that since there were large groups we had to come earlier was very annoying and unpleasant. First of all, I was NOT TOLD ANYTHING. The fact that there are groups is not the customer's problem, and it's not that I have to come at 7 to eat pizza because you have tables for 30 people. So, dear gentleman, who didn't even show up, this is not the way to do business. One less customer due to your arrogance and rudeness.

30/04/2025: Farmhouse surrounded by greenery, family run, really kind and helpful, we stayed there for a birthday, the rooms need a bit of tidying up, the details are a bit lost but nothing that cannot be remedied, good food, very nice place... it's nice to see a family collaborating in the family business... thank you very much for your availability and kindness!!

23/02/2025: We went for lunch today, found it by chance and were happy to have met him... we had a great time, Lorena and her children were very kind and friendly, simple as we like it, homemade and delicious food from appetizer to dessert, plentiful and the price was also good😁😜...place in the midst of beautiful nature, peace....I highly recommend it, I can't wait to go back 🥰😋❣️ thanks Lorena!

18/08/2025: Excellent restaurant, I've been there two nights in a row, having tried others in the area that aren't quite as good. Special appetizers with natural and refined ingredients, excellent first courses, fabulous meat-based main courses, and mouth-watering homemade desserts!! They also make pizza, but we didn't order it. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again.

11/08/2025: I should point out that we didn't stay at this establishment, but as we were passing through Cartore after a long hike along the Brigands' Trail, we decided to grab a bite to eat in the area. When I discovered that dinner was no longer available at our establishment, and since we didn't have any supplies, we approached what seemed like a welcoming and well-organized establishment. In the late afternoon, we asked for a table but, rightly, were told "no" as they were "full." Later, having realized there were no other options in the area, and unable to stay and starve, we returned to ask for takeout. However, again, the waitresses refused, suggesting we return at 7:30 PM, when the kitchen opens. At 7:30 PM, as soon as we entered, the owner, without even letting us say a word, began complaining that we were too insistent in asking for food, and we were turned away. I've never been denied food on a walk, but working in the restaurant business, I can understand the lack of supplies, especially considering the location. So, we didn't take it too badly, but at the same time, we starved. I'm writing this review because of what happened the following morning: the refusal to offer breakfast. We showed up with other people at opening time, some from the facility and some not, like us. Almost everyone had been served. When our turn came, we asked for a coffee and a cappuccino. The waiter, who didn't know us, was preparing our order. At that point, the owner, recognizing us, stopped him, telling us to come back later and that she was unable to serve us at the moment. In six years of walking, I've never experienced such behavior, because the people I meet along these routes are usually always friendly and extremely helpful. Regarding what happened, some customers we met at the next stop, in Rosciolo, expressed their deepest sympathy for what happened, calling it—in their words—"a shameful scene." It's truly a shame that this beautiful structure suffers from such mismanagement, and it's sad that a key stop like Cartore is affected by this type of attitude, which is certainly not suited to the spirit of the walk.

31/07/2025: Excellent food with many gluten-free options, and very friendly and welcoming staff. A must-try if you're in Rieti.

16/07/2025: We were 3 people. I ordered a Margherita and the crust was basically crumbled and burnt. The cheese gave me a bad stomachache and the staff charged us 2€ EACH for the service when it’s supposed to be calculated per table! Pretty disappointed since I had heard good things about this place. Wouldn’t try again that’s a no for me👎

27/05/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance. We have been going to Rieti for ages but we didn't know about it. What a wonderful surprise. The fish is very well prepared, simple but tasty, choice of raw materials, care in handling. I hadn't eaten like this for a long time. The fried food is white, impalpable. The pasta is cooked to perfection. Our new favorite place both for the cuisine and for the very friendly innkeeper, as she likes to call herself

11/05/2025: Posto semplice e delizioso immerso nel verde, con qualche gioco per i bimbi che possono divertirsi stando all’aperto. Toilette immacolata, carta del menu’ limitata a ciò che è disponibile, abbiamo provato mix di bruschette molto buone, tonnarelli con guanciale e carciofi, caserecce con le fave (un pochino indietro di sale). Le polpette erano perfette e anche il semifreddo delizioso. In sei con due buone bottiglie di vino, 3 mix di bruschette, 2 antipasti, 5 primi, 3 secondi, 2 frutta, 2 dolci, acqua, 1 passito, 6 caffè abbiamo speso 45€ a persona. Servizio perfetto. Da ritornarci!

08/08/2025: If I could give the atmosphere 10 stars, I would. It's ABSOLUTELY worth it, even if you don't want to eat there for just a drink (which would be a shame, even just to admire the service and chat a little more with the super friendly and approachable waitresses).

08/08/2025: A fantastic place that everyone loved, both my parents and my 3-year-old son. It took us a while to get there (the road was winding), but it was absolutely worth it. Excellent local food, farm animals, silence, nature, and hospitality. We can't wait to return.

23/06/2025: Surrounded by greenery, well-kept and welcoming, but above all excellent gastronomic choice: simple and home-made cuisine, good raw materials; exceptional oil, dry and crispy fried foods. There is a fixed menu that I believe varies every week, with three choices for first course and three for second course and a super abundant and tasty appetizer.. I don't like fixed menus, but here there is originality and wisdom, among the first courses there is a good choice and not the usual carbonara or amatriciana. We will definitely return
