01/03/2026: It is with regret that I report an unfortunate incident! Be careful not to take your wallet's attention, or someone will take advantage of it and empty it. The owner, who learned of it, didn't even say "I'm sorry for what happened," but he couldn't care less. We were good customers because we've celebrated several ceremonies here and had lunches with groups of 20-30 people, but we'll definitely never return. You come to spend a carefree day, not to leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

26/02/2026: Fantastic location next to the Vescovio Sanctuary. Marco and his staff are always very kind, and the dishes, both meat and fish, are excellent. We'll be back as often as possible!

26/12/2025: Always a great experience here at Taverna del Tiranno: I've tried it on several occasions, especially for lunch during short trips out of the Sabine-Rieti area (for example, it's just minutes from Farfa Abbey and many other charming little villages worth visiting). Even during this latest offering—a Christmas lunch with family and relatives—Raniero, his partner, and their team proved to be an excellent team in charge of the dining room and kitchen, demonstrating courtesy, simplicity, friendliness, and that touch of rusticity and refinement that distinguishes them. The Christmas tasting menu was incredibly balanced in flavors and portions, allowing us to fully savor each dish and arrive at the coffee shop feeling happy, satisfied, and not weighed down. Kudos to the selection of local ingredients and the extensive and well-rounded wine cellar, offering local and Italian wines (with a few excursions beyond the Alps), with a special focus on small, artisanal and sustainable producers, including labels that will please natural wine lovers. Thank you, and see you next time!

11/09/2025: I haven't had the chance to stay there yet, but I will someday given the location. I had the privilege of eating there, and I can assure you, you won't regret it. The place is simply spectacular inside and out, with a breathtaking view to say the least. Anna is a wonderful person, the guys who work there are equally wonderful, and I highly recommend it. Kudos to Anna for the way she takes care of this wonderful place.

12/10/2025: Excellent food, top-quality ingredients, EXCELLENT value for money. We spent very little and had a fantastic meal. Considering that we'd also had an aperitif before lunch while we waited, We enjoyed it first by the fireplace, then moved to the stove, while it was raining outside!!! Wonderful atmosphere, it feels like being in Trentino.

27/12/2025: This is a fantastic restaurant in a beautiful medieval village. Most charmingly located and offering a stunning view of the valley and the distant Monte Soratte. Excellent cooking, good wine list, very friendly staff. It is absolutely worth the 3-minute detour from the main road. Easy to find and easy to park (free).

Unfortunately, we were seating inside because we didn’t book in advance. I think the staff forgot about us for a while because it was very busy. But they were very apologetic and friendly. My suggestion is to book in advance, especially on weekends. Also perfect for a romantic sunset aperitivo!

Speaking to people at nearby tables, I noticed a major complaint about the wait times for their dishes. For us, they were normal. The service was attentive and helpful.
