12/08/2025: Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere una serata con un gruppo di amici in questo ristorante caratteristico, e devo dire che è stata un'esperienza fantastica! La cucina umbra è stata presentata con autenticità e passione, con piatti deliziosi e preparati con cura. Il punto forte di questo ristorante è la possibilità di cenare all'aperto, circondati da un panorama mozzafiato della campagna umbra. L'atmosfera è calda e accogliente, ideale per una cena in compagnia di amici. Consiglio di assaggiare i piatti tipici della tradizione umbra, come la torta al testo e gli strangozzi al tartufo, che sono un vero must! Ma il vero spettacolo è la grigliata mista, cotta in un grande camino in vista da un cuoco molto bravo e caratteristico, che ci ha regalato un'esperienza culinaria unica e indimenticabile. Il servizio è cordiale e informale!

12/08/2025: Ho avuto il piacere di cenare al Rifugio San Gaspare la sera del 10 agosto (San Lorenzo) e posso dire che è stata un'esperienza molto positiva. La cucina umbra è stata rappresentata in modo autentico e i piatti erano gustosi e ben preparati! Il bello di questo ristorante è che si mangia all'aperto, godendo di un panorama bellissimo della campagna umbra. L'atmosfera è accogliente e rilassante, perfetta per una cena in compagnia.Consiglio di provare i piatti tipici della cucina umbra, come la torta al testo e le pappardelle al cinghiale. Il servizio è cordiale e attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Un buon posto per una cena autentica e ad un buon prezzo nella bella Umbria!

15/06/2025: Quick lunch for two after visiting the city. Very nice atmosphere and professional and kind staff. Good omelette with truffle and equally good torta al testo with porchetta and roast potatoes.

16/05/2025: It was closed, with no sign of activities, although they are referenced as being one of the best Pizza restaurants in Umbria, not sure whether it's seasonal closing

22/02/2025: Worth the experience, excellent raw fish, attentive service, not exceptional venue but adequate prices. In the summer, in the absence of wind, the outdoor terrace is hot as it is sheltered on three sides. There were four of us and we shared two really excellent half slices of pizza. We then ordered four fish first courses (a spaghetti with clams that was a little too oily, a tasty passatello with seafood, a sublime lobster gnocchi and a plate of delicious fish treats. We drank a bottle of wine and two of water. Total cost €30 each, I'd say honest. We went back and had tomato soup with fish, aubergine, mozzarella and swordfish rolls, gnocchi with courgette flowers, pumpkin and prawns, paccheri with seafood puttanesca... all good. We drank a bottle of water and had two glasses of Vermentino wine. Spending always in line with the previous times €65.

29/06/2025: Disgusting service, wrong drinks and overpriced for the food, not much and not even that much. Waitress makes jokes and is unpleasant. Never here again.

03/08/2025: A get-together with friends: I based myself at this property for its convenient location, walking distance, and for its objectively competitive price. It's not like it's been chosen by countless tourists and pilgrims, who, practically right outside the gates, are just a few kilometers from the iconic sites of Assisi. The room I stayed in is rustic in style but absolutely functional. Despite the crowds—everywhere was full, thank goodness I booked early—I slept very well. I didn't have the chance to try the cuisine. Breakfast is simple and classic. Price is in line, without being excessive, with this highly touristy area.

26/07/2025: The room service was pathetic. I slept an entire night without AC in peak summer. I called them to fix AC and they said they can't do anything about it? That's horrible service There's also some random loud noises in the middle of the night and it's so disturbing. Horrible hotel. Please do not ever come here

26/04/2025: Ristorante in Corso Mameli molto curato con personale professionale ed accogliente. Ottima qualità delle portate. Consiglio pappardelle al sagrantino e la bistecca al tartufo. Ottima la carta dei vini. Fermatevi e godete anche voi. Prezzo giusto.

29/05/2025: La sangria è buonissima, e le pietanze pure di più 😀 Abbiamo preso un antipasto misto, straordinariamente vario, e soprattutto con ogni elemento cucinato con estrema maestria: in ogni boccone si poteva apprezzare la grande dedizione della cuoca, nel produrre i suoi manicaretti. Poi, una paella alla valenciana, abbondante e squisita. Infine, un dolce millefoglie alla crema chantilly con le fragole, semplicemente superlativo. Il servizio è stato preciso, attento e veloce; non avremmo potuto desiderare di meglio. Il locale è raccolto ed arredato con gusto raffinato, ci sono molti bei riferimenti alla vita e cultura spagnola. Ci ritornerò sicuramente a breve, con i familiari e gli amici più cari, e nel frattempo mi sento di onsigliarlo, anzi di raccomandarlo caldamente a tutti 😀

18/02/2025: I went to dinner at this restaurant on Valentine's Day. I'd like to point out that despite it being a "holiday," the place wasn't packed; in fact, we found a table without a reservation. We sat down around 8:00 PM and were immediately offered a welcome appetizer. Here's the first negative: the appetizer was nothing more than a shot of spirits served in a small glass, with nothing to eat (they might have served a few tarallos or breadsticks). Basically, without having eaten anything, you end up drinking a lot of this spirits, which, instead of satiating your hunger, destroys your stomach. We ordered two plates of beef gyoza and three sushi rolls. Second negative: A table who arrived after us (but who already knew the staff) ate before us, who had arrived earlier. They managed to both order and eat in about an hour (by 9:00 PM, they were already out of the restaurant). This was very frustrating because, on the contrary, we had to wait 40 minutes before we could eat anything, and during all that time, the only thing we'd eaten was that shot served as an entrée. After a 40-minute wait, our three rolls arrived. Nothing to complain about; they were good and beautifully presented. We waited another 20-30 minutes, but the gyoza hadn't arrived, so I asked a waitress, who told me they were out of beef gyoza. (We had ordered them an hour earlier, and when we ordered, the beef gyoza were available! I wonder who ate my gyoza.) I know the waitress made a mistake with the gyoza, and obviously it's not her fault—to err is human—but I wonder, how is it possible that ALL the staff (at least 4 people) don't realize that a table of two people has been waiting over 40 minutes for food, and no one comes to ask if we want anything else or if everything is okay? My impression was that of a place trying to be chic, serving water in a glass and an entrée (conceptually flawed), but then completely forgetting the basics, like giving out peanuts or taralli while you wait, and taking care of customers when they need it. In fact, we were completely forgotten about the entire evening. I want to clarify, however, that I don't believe this was the fault of a single person, but of ALL the staff. We had a table near the counter, clearly visible to EVERYONE, but no one ever bothered to ask if we were missing anything or if we wanted anything else. Instead, I watched empty tables being cleaned while we waited for someone to serve us. We finally left at 10 pm (after two hours) without having eaten practically anything. (3 rolls for two). When it came to the bill, nothing was taken off our bill, and we paid a flat 60 euros for: 3 rolls 1 water 1 beer. I'm leaving this negative review because the "dinner" was expensive and the staff was practically absent. Some advice for the owner/staff: 1 - You should eat something with the entree, especially if you serve a spirit. I don't think the people who come to eat at your restaurant usually eat first, so they have empty stomachs! Serving a spirit without even a drop of water and making you wait 40 minutes for a first course is a mistake. 2 - It's not fair to serve tables that arrive later (even if they're "friends" or regulars). This is very annoying for customers, especially if they have to wait 40 minutes before getting something to eat and are forced to watch whoever arrived later eat. 3 - After a mistake, they try to make up for it by offering something or offering some kind of discount to make up for the embarrassment. Instead, they didn't even take away our bottle of water... Personally, I won't go back and I wouldn't recommend it for dinner! It's more of a bar that tries to do a bit of sushi. If you want to drink, it's OK, but for food, I'd recommend going somewhere else. In short, it's one of those places where you spend WELL and eat LITTLE.

25/04/2025: I'm on Erasmus, working and studying and it doesn't hurt to go out to relax a little from time to time, I would say that it is one of the best places in Foligno, the atmosphere is great, the music too, but the cake goes to Nicolás, the mixologist is a real genius with drinks, I asked him to make me a surprise cocktail but to bring whiskey! And what a good decision! Mucho Grazie Nico!
