The girl who served us was very kind, the croissants and cappuccinos were very good, and the prices were fair.

Truly special dark hot chocolate, handcrafted to order (no bagged mix), with whipped cream served separately. Highly recommended; five stars seems too few. The staff is extremely friendly, and the two girls at the counter are lovely and helpful; they don't serve tables, but that's a completely negligible detail.

I'm not a gelato fan, but at these two gelato shops, I always ask for seconds! I've noticed that in Umbria, this product isn't as renowned as in other parts of Italy, so "Mastro Cianuri" represents something truly unique for Perugia. I find the flavors very well-balanced (it never leaves you thirsty, nor does it taste just like milk or "water"), and above all, I appreciate the SIMPLE and traditional flavors. Of course, there are also some original and surprising ones...but they're not overdone and contrived like the "Instagrammable foodporn" that the competition offers! The chocolate shop is also incredible; their chocolates, the €1 ones, are truly well-crafted in terms of texture and quality (the rose one, upon first taste, took me back to the rose garden next door to my old house... they say food becomes art when it moves us and evokes a memory... well, you decide!). A special mention also goes to all the staff: kind, friendly, and extremely polite (a rare thing), even with tourists and during busy times. PS: There's a very nice and attentive girl with a Northern accent.
