14/07/2025: Highly recommended for a stop. Great view of the mountains

07/07/2025: We were given a bread basket while we were eating, even though we hadn't ordered any bread. Since we weren't very hungry, we didn't even touch the bread. After paying, we noticed that we were still charged for the bread basket (€3). When we asked about it, the waitresses told us that the bread basket is actually free for locals, but not for tourists. I find it cheeky that we are still charged for bread that we haven't even ordered or eaten, regardless of whether you are a tourist or not. What's even more stupid is that we aren't even tourists. The waitresses apologized, and we got our money back. I certainly won't go there again, as they try to rip off their guests unwittingly.

03/07/2025: Stunning ambience with outstanding views of the surrounding area and Lake Kaltern. Very prompt, friendly waitresses full of positive energy and charisma (one in particular 😜) bring the beautifully presented dishes to the guests. The kitchen deserves the highest praise and recognition: We dined here for three consecutive days and fondly remember the culinary diversity! We hadn't expected it here or in this way. Excellent value for money... We would love to come back to South Tyrol, hopefully we can do it again soon! We hope so 🙋‍♂️

06/05/2025: Wow what a hotel. Absolutely recommended, especially out of season. There were very few guests on site, but the pool was opened especially for us upon request. The sauna and wellness area were wonderfully equipped. The hotel rooms are very modern and well equipped.

24/06/2025: Just finished dinner. The pizza dough was fantastic, the ingredients excellent and well worked. Pizza remained hot until the last bite and beer cold until the last sip. Recommended to anyone who is in Merano.

27/02/2025: Vale la pena certamente di raggiungere Sarentino perchè Braunwirt merita una visita. Abbiamo scelto la degustazione di 4 portate a scelta dello chef già riportate nel menù, per le quali comunque viene chiesto se vi siano alimenti non graditi, così da evitare brutte sorprese. Partiti con vari pani di loro produzione, in accoppiamento a 3 tipologie di burro squisiti, a seguire le quattro portate comprendenti un tartare indimenticabile, piatti squisiti, complessi, esteticamente perfetti. Carta dei vini non particolarmente estesa, ma ricercata comprendente anche proposte, insolite, del territorio (vignaioli indipendenti). Servizio ottimo, conto nella norma considerando la qualità complessiva. Unica piccola pecca il locale, in effetti non di mio particolare gradimento per la vicinanza dei tavoli e le sedute, così da sentirsi più a Milano che non in Alto Adige, ma è un dettaglio.

23/02/2025: Che dire un esperienza davvero interessante, capitati per caso, abbiamo pranzato per la prima volta un sabato di dicembre, ci siamo tornati per due domeniche di febbraio consecutive con degli amici. Il cibo, e l'accoglienza tutto davvero ottimo. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare, a presto. Raffaella

25/05/2025: Experiencia culinaria verdaderamente excepcional. Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos de esta familia íntima - restaurante dirigido. Un pequeño patio al aire libre tranquilo y pintoresco. María, una de la familia, se sentó y nos atendió con un servicio perfecto. La comida era excelente, y disfrutamos de platos preparados con los espárragos locales producidos allí, así como chuletas de cordero. También descubrimos felizmente un nuevo vino favorito... un Lagrein, producido por una familia local en la cercana Bolzano. ¡De alguna manera tenemos que averiguar ahora cómo llevar las 4 botellas a casa en California!

20/03/2025: Wow! Excellent service. I’m a vegan, and every night they specifically created a special 4 course meal just for me! Service excellent. Nothing was ever a problem. Never waited more than 5 mins for the shuttle bus. They truly go above and beyond. Excellent views and so conveniently located to everything you can need. It’s the best hotel in the area for sure!

13/02/2025: The hotel has a very nice hotel bar, there was even live music that evening, which contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately there were few guests on site that evening. The cocktail 🍸 prices are appropriate for the high-quality location.

11/07/2025: I can definitely recommend this place, the staff is very nice, the food is absolutely fine, I would say home-style cooking.

03/07/2025: Food: Delicious beef lasagna and vegetarian pizza with olives and sun-dried tomatoes. The dough is thin and crunchy. I highly recommend it. The service is excellent. They are very nice and helpful.
