Tubladel In Castelrotto

We are SO happy we stumbled across this place during our stay in Ortisei, it was a bright spot for us! One of the BEST meals we have had in Europe!! And we have been around! This is NOT a tourist trap, this is a very high quality and well worth a visit of a restaurant. The service was great. We came the first night and didn’t have reservations and the chef himself (who seems to be very involved outside of the kitchen) Got us a table and hosted us so well! We are very well taken care of by Emiliano and Ricardo, they were a dynamic duo outside! We asked Ricardo to recommend what we should get, we got everything he suggested and it was 10/10! He really helped us pick some of the best food we have had abroad! Emiliano was very kind and an extremely hard worker, you can see the quality of both of their work! We LOVED the Habanero steak, Deer entree was AMAZING and not gamey at ALL. We got their veal ravioli and their special (beef ravioli) and it was some of the best pasta we have had over our 4 stays in Italy!! We would HIGHLY recommend! We loved it so much. We went back again for dinner before leaving town!

Can’t say it lived up to the hype. I expected an exceptional, traditional menu, and instead it was mid-tier at best, and significantly deficient compared to the nearby mountain huts.

The food was delicious, and the quality of the dishes was excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared, and we really enjoyed the meal. However, the dining experience was affected by the staff constantly trying to speed up our meal so they could clear the table as quickly as possible. It made us feel rushed and uncomfortable, which took away from what could have been a great experience. Great food, but the service should allow guests to enjoy their meal at a more relaxed pace.

The food at Tubladel was outstanding and unlike anything we've had elsewhere. The menu showcases the local cuisine with unique and delicious dishes that made this one of our favorite meals in the Dolomites. The only reason for four stars instead of five was the service. There were plenty of staff, but the service felt uncoordinated. Our main courses were delayed, and there was some confusion with our dessert and coffee order that added unnecessary waiting. The quality of the food alone makes Tubladel worth visiting. With better coordination among the service team, the overall experience would easily match the excellence of the kitchen.

Great meal, every dish was wonderful...when it got to our table, when they got around to clearing the table, and when they got the order right. We're American, and it was only the second time dining abroad where I felt, as did others in my party that, perhaps, we were at the back of the bus. They weren't rude mind you, just went out of there way to make us feel we were of no priority to make sure the experience matched the meal. It clearly did not.

Nice italian classic restaurant but bit pricey

One of the best places you can eat in the area. Incredible food on the menu but I would recommend the pig knuckle, fried zucchini flowers, and cheese dumpling.
