14/03/2026: We asked about vegan options and were immediately assured that it was no problem: spaghetti aglio e olio, spaghetti with tomato sauce, salad, and fries. The pasta was excellent, as were the fries, and the portions were very generous. I like to eat a lot and was definitely satisfied by the portion. Highly recommended! #vegan

04/03/2026: I can only write about the restaurant, not the hotel. Nice sunny terrace, good view, fully acceptable but not exceptional food. Sterzingerhaus is open throughout the year and is close to the top cable car station. It's a convenient place to have a snack after a hike or skiing.

23/03/2026: We had dinner at the restaurant. It was a wonderful surprise. I hadn't heard of it, even though I've been coming to Vipiteno for decades. I'll definitely be back.

14/03/2026: The Hotel Restaurant Schaurhof was recommended to us by Snowtrex when we were looking for accommodation for a week's ski holiday with vegan options at the beginning of the year. The price-performance ratio and the ski area appealed to us, so we booked it. Our room was very clean; the bathroom bin could have been emptied daily, but otherwise everything was excellent. Our room on the first floor was a bit dark, but that wasn't a problem. Everyone who worked here was exceptionally friendly and helpful, whether it was the waitstaff at mealtimes, the owner when we ordered dinner, or whoever was at reception. Quality is clearly a priority here, and it shows. Now for my personal highlight: the food. Finding vegan options on holiday is often difficult, and I had my doubts about half-board. But the breakfast was more than sufficient for me. It included bread, rolls, spreads, hummus, muesli, and plant-based milk. Dinner was like a fine dining experience, either already vegan or adapted by the owner, so we had three vegan courses every evening. We had confirmed beforehand via email that this had been noted during booking, and everything was as expected. The food was almost always excellent, very thoughtful, and not at all run-of-the-mill. Our only suggestion for improvement: When booking half-board, you mark your preferred dinner option at breakfast. It would be very helpful if the list included ingredients or a label like "v" for vegetarian and "ve" for vegan, or something similar, and would save some time and potential questions. However, since meals were often specially adapted for us, there's really nothing to complain about. We would and will wholeheartedly recommend the entire combination of accommodation, food, and the Rosskopf Hotel to everyone. Thank you so much for everything!

11/04/2026: I went with a friend for lunch and we ordered the tasting menus, me fish and him meat: five courses, four fish, and a dessert. During the second course, a plate of white asparagus arrived, and when I pointed out that asparagus is a vegetable, I was told they didn't have all the fish courses available. But I asked for fish and wasn't told they were short on fish, otherwise I would have chosen the meat tasting menu. What disappointed me most was the waiter's arrogance; he insisted he was right. And I spent €110!

25/03/2026: We visited this restaurant/wine bar in Vipiteno. The place is large, consisting of two rooms with a nice design and soft lighting. The cheese selection is excellent, and the wine list is extensive and well-chosen—definitely the place's strong point. Well done! 🥂

08/04/2026: Cozy bakery with a cafe, very pleasant sitting outside on the terrace with a beautiful view of the city. The coffee is delicious, mixed drinks too and the youngest member of the family appreciated the delicious ice cream.

01/04/2026: Reopened today with a new, very appealing atmosphere, delicious sweets, and much more. New this summer: an ice cream counter! A very traditional artisan bakery and pastry shop where everything is still made by hand. Highly recommended if you're in Sterzing.
