27/05/2025: The place was nice. We ordered amatriciana pasta, which was delicious but not terrific. The asparagus pasta was better. It took a long time to bring our food. There aren't many options for food in town, so if you have no other option, it's not bad.

23/02/2025: Beautiful mountain hut. Friendly staff, excellent service. Excellent food. You can get there with a pleasant hike of about two hours

20/02/2025: Very nice hut, it's about 1.30 minutes walk from the Reinzwald parking lot. In winter you can also use touring skis or a toboggan. Friendly service and excellent cuisine! Recommended!

17/05/2025: we saw the sunrise at a viewpoint nearby in August '24. we wanted to use the services of the mountain hut, but unfortunately it was closed (morning at 7.00). we will return because the view from here is truly breathtaking

Excellent value for money, really worth it. Typical and very quiet environment. Caterina, who served us during dinner, is really very kind!

11/05/2025: Wonderful inn in a fantastic ambience. A menu with South Tyrolean dishes, everyone at the table was really enthusiastic!  South Tyrolean food is used wherever possible. Partly from our own cultivation (asparagus, vegetables, etc.) or our own production (yoghurt). Vegetables and other things come from Marlinger Berg (km 0). Other things come from South Tyrolean mountain farms and the meat comes from a South Tyrolean butcher. The landlord and the waiter are extremely friendly and accommodating, warm and inspire with South Tyrolean charm. The view is fantastic and worth every meter of altitude. Recommendation from Marlinger Waldschenke take the Waalweg to the north and climb up via Senn am Egg. 400 m ascent.

11/05/2025: A culinary highlight – asparagus enjoyment at the highest level! I ate at Gasthaus Tschigg and was absolutely thrilled! I ordered the asparagus – and what can I say: I have never eaten such good asparagus in my entire life! Perfectly cooked, incredibly aromatic and prepared with a lot of love. Plus a breathtaking view over Meran and the Adige Valley, an all-round successful experience. I'll definitely be back!

06/05/2025: We were guests at the Hotel Wildschütz in St. Leonhard and the Pixner family recommended this extraordinary restaurant to us for our second evening. From the welcome with an aperitif on the terrace, to the fantastic wine and the really excellent food with super friendly service, this was an evening as one could only wish for. The meat specialties are of top quality and the side dishes (asparagus) were perfectly prepared. The only danger is overeating because it's just so damn delicious, but we're happy to take that risk for the sake of this culinary delight. Anyone who eats here is doing everything right 🫶 thank you for this wonderful evening with you 😍

14/05/2025: Why do I drive 400 km to this wonderful region every year? Quite simply: to vacation and eat the world's best Kaiserschmarrn. Plus, the fantastic restaurant, the extremely friendly and warm service, and the excellent cuisine. It couldn't be better.

16/04/2025: Still as magical for the location, the view and the access to the slopes BUT one downside, we noticed a decline in the catering both in choice and quality... too bad. Come on, a little effort won't ruin anything!

20/04/2025: A great family that attaches great importance to preserving traditional ingredients and their processing. We had lovely conversations with the boss outside the restaurant, about agriculture and local life. Both are lovely people and we wish them all the best from the bottom of our hearts. Maybe we'll see each other again and then bring you free-range poultry from Brandenburg.

20/04/2025: The best meal of my life. Super great local ingredients intelligently combined and excellently processed. The service is very pleasant - professional and courteous, but at the same time down-to-earth and friendly. We stayed one night on the way to Germany. The service here is phenomenal too. The rooms are simple but very clean and well maintained. The view is unique. Absolute recommendation!

11/01/2025: Ristorante caratteristico. Carne buonissima, cotta davanti agli occhi dei clienti su di una vera griglia a carbone. Menu fantasioso ma che rispetta la tradizione. Personale molto gentile e professionale, capace di gestire una clientela internazionale.

18/05/2025: After a hike, it's nice to enjoy a coffee and a good cake. There was a large selection of treats here, and choosing was difficult. All the cakes and tarts are made by the owner herself. Delicious and highly recommended. 👍

30/04/2025: Stopping by this place is compulsory when going to visit the pyramids. The cakes are delicious (you can't taste only one!!) and the host is very friendly!
