23/08/2025: We celebrated my birthday. They were very kind, the food was excellent, and the customer service was excellent. They even showed up with a gift for the birthday girl.

02/08/2025: We had a wonderful, unforgettable evening at the Astra Restaurant. Melanie and Gregor treated us very warmly and offered us an incredible menu. We've never experienced such an experience involving literally all of our senses in any gourmet restaurant before – absolutely outstanding! We had a wow moment with every course, with the presentation and arrangement at the table. We also had a magnificent view from the terrace. We are absolutely thrilled and hope to return soon. Thank you so much!

04/09/2025: We were privileged to spend an unforgettable evening at the Tschuegghof! The view and ambiance are breathtaking. You feel like you're on the set of a romantic Heimatfilm and immediately feel "at home" – thanks in no small part to the warm hospitality. We highly recommend it – even with children. Lots of wonderful animals and the farm is superbly maintained and clean! ☺️ We'll be back!

20/08/2025: This isn't a restaurant. Here you'll find honest cuisine, a small selection of South Tyrolean dishes, and fantastic speck – all served at the hosts' pace. There's no room for hecticness here. You can enjoy the view over the entire valley and sip a cold beer while the chickens roam around your feet. You won't pass by here by chance. The deliberate (winding) journey is worth it.

12/09/2025: The beer garden is set back from the street behind a hedge, making it a bit noisy, but still very cozy under large chestnut trees. I've eaten here twice and was very satisfied both times. Very friendly and attentive staff, delicious food, and good value for money.

07/09/2025: I tried the Manga... for 2.5 euros... it's very nice... and they have flavors, the most famous of which is pistachio... and the workers there are welcoming and have good manners

08/09/2025: We booked a double room with a balcony and half board. The rooms are large, well-maintained, and very clean; the table in the room could have been larger – a second armchair would have been nice, too. The balcony, with its table and two chairs, was very usable. The room had air conditioning with no time restrictions, which was very good. The bathroom was sufficiently large, with a first-class shower. The soundproof windows held up well. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable; our private Magenta TV stick worked perfectly and smoothly. The only downside: a very small TFT monitor – which was also set too high :-( The pool/garden was great; also the whirlpool and the bright (large glass) sauna. Two bus stops in the immediate vicinity; fantastic! The staff – really all of them! – were natural, attentive, and always competent and friendly. Food: Breakfast was all there – except for the fried egg with bacon >shame< and fish (...but do you really need fish at 9 a.m.!?). In the evening, there were two set menus to choose from – and if necessary, you could also choose from the children's menu (fries/pasta - schnitzel, etc.). [We found the price/wine for dinner at 0.1 L in the glass to be excessive. Beer, etc., was fine! ... My suggestion: Please improve the wine list here; there could be some improvement 😏 ] Conclusion: Nice vacation – nice hotel 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️

02/09/2025: The location is very central, and Merano is truly beautiful. The hotel has everything: a pool, a spa area with a sauna and whirlpool, a rooftop terrace, and bathrobes and towels are available at reception. The staff is very friendly! There aren't many parking spaces at the hotel, but luckily we always had a spot.

31/07/2025: Delicious food. We stopped by here for lunch and it certainly didn't disappoint. We had pizza just the way it should be: fresh, hot, and the staff was friendly. Many other places could learn a thing or two from this! Parking is practically around the corner. Nothing to complain about. If we ever get around to it again, we'll definitely eat here again.

07/08/2025: We stayed at Schgaguler expecting high-end value for the €450+/night rate. While the aesthetics and warm service (especially from Simon and Peter) impressed, the functionality and overall sense of value fell short. The positives: beautifully clean rooms with thoughtful touches like bath salts and fresh tea, stunning views, a well-equipped gym, and a pleasant breakfast with a small buffet and made-to-order options. Afternoon tea cakes were a welcome touch. However, the wellness area disappointed. The “ice room” which I looked forward to never worked, and the wider space lacks basic functional elements — no clear labels on buttons, no posted sauna temperatures, and no visible cold drinking water (though there was hot tea). We were also surprised that spa elements like the “mud room” and hiking excursions cost extra, especially given their presentation on the website and our prior experiences at similarly priced hotels in the region where such offerings were included. Room design leans heavily on form over function: no shower door leads to water spreading into the living area, the space steams up quickly, and ventilation is poor. The designer sink splashes due to its awkward geometry — the long faucet pours directly onto a flat convex drain, making it messy to use. Breakfast felt unnecessarily restricted — simple items like cheese or cold cuts must be ordered à la carte, served on oversized plates at small tables, slowing the experience. We were even told by our waitress to “order a little bit at a time” as if to suggest we should slow down - which we felt was disrespectful of our morning schedule. Schgaguler has real potential. A shift toward functional luxury would elevate the experience: include the “melarium” in the base wellness offering (as your website implies), expand the buffet rather than leaning so heavily on à la carte, and ensure the ice room — and basic spa clarity — are fully operational.

21/07/2025: A stunningly beautiful and architecturally unique hotel!!! 🤩 Since we had previously stayed at another (also very high-quality) hotel in Siusi for years, we initially had some doubts, but these were quickly dispelled, and after our third stay, we can summarize by saying that we feel completely at home here. The location (directly from the hotel on foot to the Alpe di Siusi), the rooms (totally modern and stylish), the service (competent, attentive, prompt), and the excellent food (a la carte breakfast, cake buffet in the afternoon, and a first-class 5-course dinner) simply leave nothing to be desired. 😍 We would especially like to thank Simon at the reception, who always listens to us and is always there to help and advise us – and of course, Sandra, too; she is a top-notch sommelier and otherwise a helpful and unique person. 🙏🤗❤️ Thank goodness we've now found the right hotel for us and have already booked again for September 😅🤩 Thanks and see you soon, Alex and Elke 🤗
