An unexpected highlight of our city trip. We spontaneously arrived shortly after opening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. Luckily, there were still some tables available. It filled up quickly after we arrived. Our server was attentive and friendly, anticipating our every need. We ordered a tuna steak and a beef steak, both served without unnecessary frills. They were by far the best versions of these dishes we've had in a long time. The desserts were also absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended, even as a day trip if you're in the area.

We went for a beer on Thursday afternoon in lovely weather. Despite the beer garden being full, the young waitress was fantastic. Kudos! 😀

Super friendly staff! The food was excellent — definitely try the grilled tuna. They even prepared special dishes for the kids that weren’t on the menu, which we really appreciated. The owner was very friendly and entertaining. A very warm and welcoming place.

Two wonderful evenings with outstanding food. The pesto siciliana and the tuna burger were divine. The restaurant's ambiance was very Italian. The owner and his staff were always attentive and gave us excellent recommendations regarding food and wine. Thank you so much, dear Boia team, we will be back! Your restaurant is now a regular stop on our Merano itineraries.

The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere. My order was modified thanks to the chef's advice. He suggested I change my initial order and recommended Sicilian pasta with almond pesto. I have very rarely eaten such delicious pasta. A truly delightful evening with personalized service. Fantastic!

It's certainly not a typical South Tyrolean trattoria, but the quality of the food, the friendliness, and the hospitality of Marco and his staff are absolutely worth a visit. This restaurant, which exudes Sicilian atmosphere, proudly displays his ties to his homeland on the walls, and his dishes convey all his passion and love for the flavors of the island's cuisine. Eating an exceptional caponata surrounded by the Alps is a unique experience, as is savoring the seafood dishes, a balance between modernity and a refined exploration of traditional flavors. To finish, a ricotta cannoli that rivals the best Sicilian pastry shops. What more can I say? Head to Boia for an exotic experience in the heart of South Tyrol.

10/05/2026: As locals, we're big fans of this restaurant. Saskia's is a family business run by a mother, daughter, and son, and it's very well and warmly managed. The restaurant is refreshingly free of any unnecessary touristy frills that only serve to inflate prices. The food has been consistently excellent for years, and they offer not only pizza but also a wide selection of other dishes. The tiramisu is legendary, and I highly recommend it to everyone. We love Saskia's.

14/04/2026: We stayed for three nights and the experience was truly excellent in every way. The location is extremely well-maintained: located just outside the city center, it guarantees tranquility without sacrificing convenience, being well-connected to services and neighboring towns. Our lake-view room was simply stunning: spacious, impeccably clean, and featuring a large balcony perfect for relaxing. We also greatly appreciated the ability to adjust the temperature independently. Furthermore, upon request, lower pillows were provided, a detail that demonstrates great attention to guest comfort. The food was another strong point. Breakfast and dinner were excellent: the latter consisted of an appetizer, a vegetable buffet, a choice of first and second courses, and dessert. Having reported a lactose intolerance, we were pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and care in offering suitable alternatives for each course. The spa area is simply marvelous: an indoor pool, an outdoor whirlpool with a lake view, two saunas, a Turkish bath, and a comfortable relaxation area with drinks available. A perfect environment for complete regeneration. A special shout-out to the owners: the family management is evident in every detail, from the kindness to the genuine attention to guests. It's rare to find such a high level of hospitality: many four-star properties in large cities don't even come close to this quality. Thank you so much for your stay, we'll definitely be back!
