26/07/2026: I came to eat with my parents one Sunday evening. We each chose a different dish, and they were all absolutely delicious. My mother said they were the best shrimp she'd had in years. All the servers were really kind and attentive, and tried their best to describe each dish (since they don't speak English very well and we don't speak any Italian at all). Lots of Italian families were there for their Sunday meal, and there was a great atmosphere! I highly recommend this restaurant!
18/06/2026: The owner and the waiter are incredibly rude. I'm a guy from the South and came for work. As soon as they heard my accent, they looked at me with disgust all evening, making me understand that I wasn't welcome. And when it came time to pay, I was told, "You come from another world and that's where you belong."
I didn't make a fuss because I'm a civilized person, but it was truly disgusting.
Not to mention the food: stale bread, completely burned lamb, raw wild boar, salad that was at least 2-3 days old, coffee that tasted like water, flies landing on my plate, and I could go on... an experience absolutely not recommended.

The food is still very good but because of the noticably increased prices the value for money is only average now.

Still 5 stars, very good value for the money.
(2017) A rather casual restaurant, known mostly for their pizzas. We tried a traditional dish instead (tortelli di erbetta) and it was one of the best we tasted in the region. Moreover - although not characteristic of the Parma area - the riso nero con salmone was also super delicious. The desserts were OK but nothing special. Average prices. Highly recommended.

16/05/2026: The name speaks for itself! We were treated to a wide variety of local delicacies, from cheeses and cured meats to crostini and, most importantly, Chianina beef carpaccio! All washed down with excellent, well-priced local wines! The small but welcoming and friendly place makes you feel right at home. Hugs to the managers, Sandro and Cristina!
09/05/2026: We had an aperitivo with a tasting of three recommended white wines, all very good and plentiful. The only thing is, I wouldn't have served three glasses of white at once because they get warm, but rather one at a time. We recommend this place for a lovely outdoor aperitivo on a beautiful day like yesterday ☀️ (P.S. incredible value for money, two of us paid just €26 for six glasses and the large platter you see in the photo).

15/07/2026: The staff were very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was basic but good. Unfortunately, I must point out that the room lacked a refrigerator, which I think is essential in the summer. The lady kindly kept some ice packs and a bottle of water in the freezer for us. However, not being able to drink cold water in the room was a bit of an inconvenience. Otherwise, it's a dated but functional property, convenient for its location.

01/11/2025: We had dinner at this agriturismo, which we found by chance. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. Excellent value, and the ingredients were either homegrown or sourced locally. But what I really want to highlight is Elia's impeccable service. If I could, I'd give him more than 5 stars for his kindness and dedication. Thank you so much. Definitely recommended.
26/10/2025: Beautiful location, very close to the sea, convenient for exploring the entire island. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Recommended for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

13/06/2026: We dined at Il Pirata at the recommendation of a dear cured meat supplier. We were looking for a quality restaurant to enjoy a well-made Cacciucco. At Il Pirata, we found excellence in every way. From the beautiful venue, both indoors and outdoors, to the very kind staff, the excellent food, the carefully sourced raw materials, all our dishes were consistently above our expectations. The Cacciucco is made exactly like our grandmothers used to make. If you pass through Follonica, definitely dine at this restaurant. You'll take home a memory you'll definitely want to share. Thanks to Stefano, his adorable son, and all the staff.

18/07/2026: The place appears to be welcoming.
Welcoming staff, but the very surly managers favor tables.
The food was below expectations.
They don't know what hospitality is.
We asked to move our table because they sat us next to the pizza oven, but the managers didn't even show up to apologize, ignoring our request.
They told us the kitchen was closed, leaving us without a main course, but they served food to a table after us.
So I didn't know if the kitchen was closed for us and open for others.
Moral of the story: don't be fooled by appearances.
06/07/2026: Clean place, friendly staff. The anchovies are truly delicious, the cheese from the cured meats appetizer is a true specialty, and then, as promised, the review for the pizza wizard cannot be missed, a margherita that is a spectacle for the eyes and the palate, which pleasantly surprised me, I have to recommend it. I happened upon it by chance from Rome on June 28, 2026, and I already miss it, you know, I highly recommend it for its excellent quality, and the quality/price ratio that could not be missed. 01/07/2026: We had never been to La Tana del Cinghiale before, and it was a wonderful discovery.
Delicious food, generous portions, friendly service, and a fair price.
The tagliatelle with wild boar were outstanding, and the mixed grill for two was tasty and plentiful.
The restaurant is located in a green setting, an oasis of tranquility.
We really enjoyed it, we'll be back, and we definitely recommend it.
