30/07/2026: We dined at this wonderful restaurant in Manciano and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service impeccable, but it's the food that truly makes the difference. ​We started with exceptional first courses: the pappardelle with wild boar ragù was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the paccheri with eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and fresh ricotta was an explosion of freshness and flavor. ​For the main course, the wild boar stew was incredibly tender and rich in flavor, accompanied by crispy roasted potatoes scented with rosemary. A true delight for the palate! ​And to round things off, we couldn't miss the dessert: a brownie with vanilla and berry ice cream, garnished with fresh fruit. A perfect ending to a superb dinner. ​If you're looking for authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared with high-quality ingredients and passion, Rifugio in Manciano is the ideal place. Five well-deserved stars! We can't wait to return. It must be said that they use quality and genuine products.

02/12/2025: We've eaten there several times, whenever our itinerary allowed, because the pasta is delicious—a special mention goes to the stuffed ravioli and the arrabbiata sauce. The desserts are a delight, and the service is perfect. Always with a smile. Quality/price ratio: 10/10

08/07/2026: A unique pizzeria in Manciano, in the Tuscan Maremma. It's not exactly easy to find—the entrance is behind a gas station—but it's worth the search. I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore these beautiful Tuscan villages, or to anyone visiting the Saturnia spa and wanting to refuel after a relaxing day with an excellent pizza. They won the Pizza Olympics for two years. I recommend reading the entire menu, and I recommend the pizzas: Briaca, Barnum, and the one with wild asparagus. Good prices.

24/06/2026: The pizzas were good, but be aware there's a €2 cover charge per person for eating in, which isn't displayed anywhere and wasn't mentioned by the restaurant staff. The pizzas aren't cut (probably done on purpose to use up the cutlery and then unknowingly pay). French and foreign friends, always ask about any charges before ordering, as no one will tell you beforehand, and this is true in almost all of Italy.

02/06/2026: What can I say? The first night we were there truly left us with wonderful memories, especially the delicious Chianina Florentine steak. Before heading home, we decided to have another Florentine dinner. Unfortunately, the meat was tough to the knife, especially when biting. We pointed this out to the waitress, who was even more upset than the owners, who literally ignored it when it came time to pay. Considering the price of that particular dish, perhaps we could have been a little more careful in selecting suppliers, and above all, more accommodating to the customer, who, I'm not sure, will be encouraged to return after experiences like this.

11/07/2026: Located at the entrance to Manciano, coming up from the Campigliola. From the outside, it looks like an old-fashioned hotel, but upon entering the restaurant, an air of sober yet luxurious aura is palpable. The outdoor veranda is a lovely spot for dining on summer evenings. The host, although still very young, is capable and well-organized. Like a true Tuscan, he's always very direct, calling a spade a spade and serving wine (preferably red! 😂). Very fair prices, highly recommended.

29/06/2026: A basic but clean hotel. Of course, when you spend €126 for two nights in Tuscany at the end of June, you can't expect luxury... but the air conditioning works, the bathroom is clean, and the bed is comfortable.

16/12/2025: Considering you're in a unique part of Tuscany, full of stimuli and unique flavors, a restaurant with that kind of cuisine is an insult to the region. Bland dishes served at the temperature limit due to the countless elaborate dishes; the entrée is a waste of time. I won't dwell on the dishes and will simply say absolutely nothing. A woman in the kitchen who sits all evening allegorically recalling the cuisine of the past when there's absolutely nothing of the past. The staff is kind, with a thousand thoughtful touches, sometimes even cloying. Regarding the wines, when I asked a very simple question—"A local organic or biodynamic wine?"—three of them completely lost their minds. My only regret is that I drove 1.5 hours to get there. My last statement: stop looking for stars that have become obsolete; go to the fields and shops to seek out quality raw materials.

27/07/2026: Beautiful location, excellent food, especially pici. All this is complemented by excellent service from the entire staff. Highly recommended for a taste of authentic Maremma cuisine.

21/07/2026: We really enjoyed the tasting session at the wine bar – it was friendly, pleasant and fun. The selection was varied and interesting, the wines were excellent and the atmosphere was light and inviting. The service was courteous and professional, and we felt we got great value. We will definitely be back again and recommend to friends!
