We dined at Il Pirata at the recommendation of a dear cured meat supplier. We were looking for a quality restaurant to enjoy a well-made Cacciucco. At Il Pirata, we found excellence in every way. From the beautiful venue, both indoors and outdoors, to the very kind staff, the excellent food, the carefully sourced raw materials, all our dishes were consistently above our expectations. The Cacciucco is made exactly like our grandmothers used to make. If you pass through Follonica, definitely dine at this restaurant. You'll take home a memory you'll definitely want to share. Thanks to Stefano, his adorable son, and all the staff.

Very nice food and owner. Though there is no English menu, we managed fine with using Grok for translation. We were able to order the seafood platter for 2 for just my wife and a pizza for me.

It's been a while since I've been there, but I remembered it being excellent pizza. Instead, I was a little disappointed, as as soon as it cooled, I had trouble cutting it, losing its crispy texture and flavor. They don't have red beer. Perfect service.

I've known this place for over thirty years. I've been there many times, both for the pizza and other dishes. But I have to say it's taken a leap in quality. I found a renovated place with a simple yet refined menu, fast service, and attentive, friendly staff. Good value for money. I'll be back, as always.
