30/04/2026: Great food, great location, fantastic team – by far the best restaurant and pizzeria in the area, in my opinion. Reservations are definitely recommended, even in the off-season.
05/04/2026: We went for Easter.
We ate in the garden, the service was excellent, everything was good, and the staff were attentive to everything.
The price was right for what we ate. We'll definitely be back... well done!

05/04/2026: Delicious food, flavors and preparation reminiscent of grandmothers or mothers' Sundays—exceptional. Don't expect a fancy or gourmet restaurant, that's not what you'll find, but honest and delicious dishes. Lots of gluten-free options, expertly presented by the excellent staff. We came twice in a row to try more of their menu. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back.

15/01/2026: Excellent cuisine! The staff is professional, accommodating, and friendly, even with the little ones.
The ingredients are incredibly fresh, cooked with imagination and flavor. The portions are generous, with a first course and a second course, plus a side dish.
The prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the dishes.
There are only a few seats, but there's no disturbance between tables.
Excellent!

23/09/2025: A very beautiful place, with divinely prepared typical Maremma dishes.
We had Maremma ravioli with wild boar ragu, fillet steak with porcini mushrooms, and wild boar cacciatore. Everything was delicious.
Due to bad weather, we couldn't dine on the outdoor terrace; the tables are spread across various levels with a view of the valley, truly beautiful.
Highly recommended.
17/09/2025: A friend highly recommended it to us. The place is located in Tirli, a small village nestled in the hinterland between Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. The sea view is stunning, and the tagliatelle, wild boar ragu, and onion crostini are excellent.

07/04/2026: An incredibly beautifully furnished bedroom and very, very friendly staff. We were there in the off-season, so it was very quiet, and the breakfast was also good.

11/04/2026: We ate here two days ago with two adults and two children. The service was incredibly friendly despite the language barrier. They really made sure we were comfortable. The service was quick, and our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. I can't understand why it doesn't have top ratings.

17/10/2025: Lots of smoke and not enough flavor... a huge disappointment, hair on the table (€4 cover charge).
The vegetables and lemon were subpar, the sea bream was next to good quality, the service was superficial... the wait staff was very stressed...
This is precisely why it was disappointing; overall, the price and quality were not in balance. It's a shame.
13/10/2025: A beautifully located restaurant with excellent food. The view of the marina adds to the delight. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The dishes are rather expensive but excellently presented and offer a unique flavor. A visit is worthwhile.

14/10/2025: We stopped by for a village festival, and only stayed one night and had breakfast. Everything was great: a generous sweet and savory buffet breakfast, a beautiful, clean place. Friendly staff. We'll be back.
01/10/2025: I was in the area for work and stayed at Iris for two nights with my colleagues, and I have to say that if we ever get back to the area, we'd definitely want to stay there.
Excellent service, courtesy, and friendliness, excellent and plentiful food with a wide variety of choices, including simple and protein-rich dishes, just the way I like them. I highly recommend it; everything was top-notch!

02/05/2026: While vacationing in Castiglione, we chose this restaurant for dinner since the hotel we were staying at didn't offer this option.
The restaurant, expertly converted from an old granary (hence the name), is very characteristic. Quality food (both seafood and meat) and fast service are provided. During busy periods, you might notice a slight hesitation from the table service staff, but it's just a small flaw that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the restaurant. Good value for money considering it's located in the historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia.

04/04/2026: We tried ordering three dishes, but they were all sold out (the day before Easter), so we ordered more. Five minutes later, the unidentified owner or chef comes out and starts scolding us for saying there were no dishes. Lol. The kind of person who criticizes customers for their shortcomings is touchy. From what we saw, the food was also pretty average. Avoid like the plague.
04/04/2026: Madness!
Four of us sit down for lunch and are brought menus. When it's time to order, the first four dishes we asked for aren't available (pappa al pomodoro, frittata, tuna and beans, and dip), so one of us blurts out, "But there's nothing!" And then we order all the side dishes since we didn't want meat.
Five minutes later, the chef/owner storms out, insults us, and kicks us out of the restaurant!!! We tried to stammer something, but it was no use: we were attacked and thrown out, something I've never seen before!

08/03/2026: What can I say? A pleasant discovery, excellent food combined with the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. I recommend it and will return. The price is right for the very good quality.
07/03/2026: Small but excellent restaurant. Fish is the star dish here and highly recommended. We tried several restaurants in the city center, and "La Casa Rossa" more than holds its own against them!
