If you love meat, this is the place for you. Two people are always available for reservations, so book well in advance because finding a table can be a challenge. From raw Florentine steak to various cuts, beans with oil, and baked potatoes, the €50 menu is well spent. On the table, you'll find "il burro del Chianti" (Chianti butter), the house red wine, but you can easily bring your own if you like. Dips, bread, spiced salt, and water are always on the table. Customers come from all over the world, so you might be sharing a table with complete strangers. You arrive at 12:00 and Dario welcomes you for an aperitivo on the street, and at 12:30, Carne Diem. Even the announcement of the restaurant's opening is a sight to behold. Excellent quality, staff always available for any explanation. Open every day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm except Christmas Day. The restaurant is only open for lunch. A true experience. Seeing is believing.

We went to Antica Macelleria Cecchini in 2022 and honestly it was more like a huge family party than just dinner. Started out amazing with staff handing out glasses of Chianti right on the street. Once inside it was absolute chaos in the best possible way. Long tables, sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers who become friends by the end of the night. It was loud, busy and there was an endless amount of incredible meat coming out. Had such a blast. If you like your meat, you have to go here. One of the highlights of our Tuscany trip.

For the second time, I visited Dario Cecchini's beautiful "butcher shop," he's a celebrity in his own right!

Erect a monument to Dario Cecchini. This man offers a visceral and timeless gastronomic experience in the splendid setting of Panzano in Chianti. For meat lovers, this is heaven on earth, with exceptional quality in every cut and dish. Sushi and Chianti butter are the ultimate taste sensations. The smell of the grill, the steaks on display, the phenomenal staff, and the friendliness of maestro Cecchini... 5 stars is the minimum.

As part of an independent trip through Selected, we were invited to a meat dinner at Dario the Butcher - an amazing and different experience: The restaurant is based on meat and next to it is everything that Dario prepares - schmaltz, wine, oil, bread, salt and spices and more and more and more in abundance. The meat is served generously in cuts of all kinds and everything is delicious. Sitting at one long table and happy from all corners of the world. Dario - a colorful and captivating character, the staff at the meats are nice and professional, so the experience is wonderful, delicious and happy. We definitely recommend visiting and eating until you can't eat anymore. Many thanks to Dario for the hospitality

The food was wonderful and plentiful, and the prices, even at the butcher's, were reasonable. But what impressed me most was that Dario and his team remained modest and friendly. Even though Dario is famous, he told his sommelier to take a break instead of working. I too wish I had a father as humane as him. Ultimately, this is a place where humanity reigns supreme. (I'm German, sorry for any typos.)

What a wonderful place! A real treat! Dario is extremely friendly! Attentive staff. The meat is incredible, the side dishes (wine, water, and vegetables) are delicious.

Magical experience! We did the lunch, and everything was so delicious, the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We got to see and take a picture with Dario himself! Upon leaving the amazing lunch, we bought their pasta and meat sauce that we cooked for dinner, delicious! This was one of the biggest highlights of our entire Italy trip! And the town Panzano, so enchanted!
