A 3-day stay in Florence and a big ice cream lover. La Sorbettiera finally satisfied my craving for good Italian gelato. The Venezuelan chocolate is a killer, smooth and creamy; the strawberry sorbet is bursting with freshness without being too sweet (you can see the crates of strawberries in the kitchen); the pistachio could be improved, and the Buentalenti (Florentine cream) delicately complements the chocolate and strawberry. A very good, slightly out-of-the-way spot that I highly recommend.

hands down the BEST gelato i had in italy. my mum and i each got a cup, took a spoonful in, and instantly we got two more cups each. it’s definitely worth the walk!! (it is quite slightly far from the centre)

A little further out of the city, no queues, 15-20 minutes with magical ice cream, I discovered it on the last day, otherwise I would have eaten all the flavors!! Perfect.

We just got to Florence and had the Gelato here. All I have to say is that the Affogato is amazing! I had to return in the evening and got some time to chat with the lovely lady that works there. Great place, delicious gelato and very good customer service. Friendly and delicious! Go now!

03/05/2026: Reasonable price Friendly staff Flavors that are a bit out of the ordinary without being over the top. I had two scoops in a cone for €4: strawberry-basil and lemon-mint: absolutely delicious. I had the best ice cream of my entire trip to Italy here.

29/09/2025: I believe this hotel deserves a five. The views of the city are remarkable. The service is impeccable and the rooms are clean with all the amenities one would expect. Nicholas was without a doubt, the best hotel host I have ever experienced in all my years. He and his staff constantly went out of their way to provide one on one personal service. From putting on dance music at night to greeting us in the morning with fresh food and champagne. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel above the city of Florence.
25/08/2025: A gem in a beautiful city. Close to the heart of Florence with the beauty and calmness of the countryside. Service was excellent, staff were friendly, every need anticipated. The food, the room, the courtyard, the pool, all well designed and convenient. Beautiful location. Highly recommend and hope to stay again in the future. Recommended by a friend.
