La Fiaschetteria is a small local sandwich shop that makes you freshly made-to-order italian sandwiches. It is opposite a very popular 'instragram' sandwich shop but this place has beautiful looking ingredients, very friendly staff and there was no waiting time. If there is room you can have a seat and eat your sandwich in the back. I would 100% recommend this amazing sandwich shop!

This review (and steer) is for the lunchtime 'schiacciateria' at La Fiaschetteria - serving filled focaccia sandwiches from their little counter facing onto Via dei Neri (south side). 'Schiacciata' (pronounced skya-chaa-ta) is what Florentines call 'focaccia' (pronounced foh-ka-cha) My suggestion is to ignore the massive queue across the road for the 'Schiacciateria dei Neri', and get your lunchtime schiacciata here! (And forget the 'Antico Vinaio' up the road: you'll waste half your day waiting to be served). There was NO queue at La Fiaschetteria when I visited. There were several delicious-sounding sandwich fillings available - all typically Tuscan. The two that my friend and I had were amazing, and the schiacciata was top quality. Cold drinks are also available. The two ladies serving were very chatty and friendly (they're not pushing through hundreds of orders every hour and have time to talk), and the whole vibe is very Florence and authentic - rather than Tik-Tok-promoted tourist trap...

The lampredotto sandwich is delicious, the location is very traditional, and the prices are fair. The house wine, however, is terrible. The bathroom is clean.

We visited twice for lunch and dinner. Would recommend the lasagne and the lemon chicken both great. Great service both times the tiramisu and pannacotta were also lovely 😁
