A quaint, rustic, and welcoming little place. Maurizio was a character who was able to recommend some delicious, simple yet tasty and flavorful tortelli, and abundant pici all'aglione, eaten directly from a shiny, clean pan with the bread mopped up at the end!

This is only partially true: there's a flask of wine already on the table, the cutlery in everyone's table drawer (strictly mismatched), a menu of traditional dishes, generous portions, and the sincere and familiar approach of those who take orders and wait at the tables. Then, upon closer inspection, other aspects come into play: the search for raw ingredients, extensive study and experience in pairings, a touch of imagination and innovation in the varied and rich antipasto. The "spaghetti alla vigliacca" deserves special mention, a garlic, oil, and chili pepper dish with the addition of browned pancetta and fresh tomatoes: those who can get past the powerful and persistent spiciness will discover a genuine and flavorful dish. Prices are average for the area, and are justified by the generous portions. Reaching the location requires a journey on partly bumpy roads, as is often the case in the beautiful region of Tuscany, but this aspect also contributes to creating what so many people seek today: not the food, but the experience. A unique experience, a small place but full of energy. The food is all traditional and delicious, with the wine already on the table as soon as you arrive. Super welcoming and friendly service makes everything feel intimate, as if you were at the host's home (unfortunately, I don't remember his name). We went to dinner here because it was recommended by other friends, and it did not disappoint. The setting is small and simple, but the food and service are excellent. Typical Tuscan food, local wine, and a very friendly waiter.

We had lunch on Sunday, January 25th with friends. Excellent appetizers and first courses, as well as desserts served with moka pot coffee. The service was also good, and the prices were average. A small point about the slightly uncomfortable bench seating. Highly recommended.
