23/02/2025: An authentic and unforgettable culinary experience at Trattoria al Vizio ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently went to Trattoria al Vizio and was absolutely delighted. This place is a true gem in the heart of Salento, a place where the passion for traditional cuisine blends with the warm welcome typical of the region. I had the pleasure of tasting both the pizza and the typical Salento dishes, and I must say that I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation. The pizza, with its selected flour, was an explosion of aromas and flavours, while the traditional dishes took me on a real journey through time, to discover the culinary roots of this land. Particular praise goes to the owner and chef Francesca, an extraordinary person who puts love and dedication into every dish, and to Vincenzo, whose advice is always precious for an evening full of flavour. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and familiar, perfect for a dinner with friends or for a romantic evening. I highly recommend everyone to try Trattoria al Vizio, an experience that will not disappoint you!

30/03/2025: The pizza is baked in an oven, I liked it. The place is simple, a bit too simple, but it was just right for a quick pizza. The prices are reasonable. The tiramisu was delicious, although I think it was overpriced. The pizza maker is nice, he can smile, unlike the older grumpy waiter. The place doesn't have much atmosphere, but it was good value for money.

01/11/2024: He slept and dined, for work, the food was plentiful and of good quality, the rooms were not up to the standard of the structure, no mosquito nets, the bathroom was not clean and had a terrible smell, not to use another term, a very uncomfortable mattress and pillows. The dining room staff were very kind and helpful

19/10/2024: A real disappointment... never to return... a disappointing lunch... with an eyedropper... I know it's not an all you can eat but everything is counted on the plates, you can't put an appetizer in the center and put 4 slices of salami... there was no request for seconds... drinks were counted... and then the even more disappointing thing was that after the second course directly the dessert... for what they paid you could have eaten better elsewhere.

14/04/2025: 3 Seniors from Australia. We absolutely loved this place. Zucchini Flowers followed by warm Chicken Salad each with a side of Eggplant and Zucchini..Washed down with a couple of glasses of red wine. Very happy. Family atmosphere with a table near us with the entire family maybe 3 generations.. Everyone had a great time.. Recommended

12/04/2025: Very good product (pinza), carefully prepared and with quality ingredients, the supplì were with raw rice and mozzarella which, given the size, is impossible for it to melt after just frying, service mmmmmmm, tables too narrow and thank goodness there were only 8 other people besides us in the whole place. Price is normal, I recommend adding a few beers that deserve that name on the menu...

14/04/2025: Mi sono ritrovato a cena in un fine settimana. Locale pieno ma servizio veloce ed efficiente. Pizze nella media, cosi come anche il conto.

28/03/2025: It was a long day and we tired and hungry, but wanted to try a pizza place upon our arrival. We selected Margot Gourmet. Wow! It could not have been better! The mini pizzas that are fried dough with just outstanding sauce blends and just the right ingredients were out of this world. The lemoncello, incredible! And Rebecca just made our first day in Lecce a delight. This is a must try if you are in the area. Also the house wine was just perfect. We will be back before moving on to the next cittadina. Thank you, Rebecca!

04/03/2025: The beauty of the location is not equal to its management. I found the costs of the dishes exaggerated especially in relation to the quality and quantity. It was a negative experience that I will not repeat.

27/02/2025: I had dinner with 5 friends on a rainy evening; despite this, ours was the only occupied table throughout the evening. The menu speaks for itself: first courses and risottos not up to the €18 per dish spent, as are the starters, neither excellent nor plentiful despite the €20 per portion, which then became per person. Price of wine €22 per bottle, definitely exaggerated. Total: €60 each for a starter and a first course. Service nothing special for a restaurant with a historic name in the city. We were disappointed, we will hardly return.

24/12/2024: Discreto rapporto qualità prezzo, wifi libero, possibile sia l'asporto sia la degustazione nel locale e, in estate, il giardino. Peccato chiuda prima alle 23 anche d'estate

02/02/2025: The pizzeria is located in a spacious location, but despite its size, the atmosphere remained calm and not chaotic, which is always a plus when looking for a bit of relaxation during dinner. The fritti we had at the beginning were good. The pizzas, although good, didn't make me crazy, but they were still quality, with light dough and fresh ingredients. However, the service was a little below expectations: the staff was not particularly attentive or friendly, and there were waiting moments that were a little longer than expected. Despite this, overall, it was a good experience.

04/04/2025: Ambiente informale e accogliente che ti coinvolge in modo familiare, quasi come in un bistrot francese. Mi è piaciuto molto l’arredo di antiquariato con pezzi storici. Cibo di buona qualità e ottimo il vino, un Susumaliello Arlati. Per chi non ha voglia del superfluo ma predilige la sostanza… venite da Osteria Il Banco, non come turisti, ma come ospiti! ;)

19/01/2025: Fuimos allí porque la crítica era buena. Sin embargo, me gustaría cuestionar la honestidad del personal. Pedí carne de caballo que es una especialidad de lecce. Cuando llegó la carne me pareció muy buena. Al pagar la factura no podía verla antes de pagar. Luego me llegó la cuenta de que cobraban 22 euros por la carne y no 12 euros como anunciaban. Desafié al anfitrión principal que confirmó que tomó el pedido del caballo, pero se negó a reembolsarme la diferencia Fue su error y me pareció deshonesta su actitud.

16/01/2025: My mother was Italian and a fantastic cook. Her sauce was something in which she took great pride and many friends of mine would ask her for the recipe. In all my life I have never had a sauce (we called it gravy) that was something like my mother’s. I asked for bread just to dunk it in the sauce I made with Giorgio. My cooking class with him and his whole family was a once in a lifetime experience. I’ve been to cooking classes in Italy on previous trips but nothing compares with that the class at Alle Due Corti in Lecce. I’m a pretty good cook, but I learned some great techniques and new recipes. We spent four hours with Giorgio and got to share the fruits of our experience. This has definitely been the highlight of our trip to Puglia. Mille grazie Giorgio e Mariella.

15/01/2025: We spent a wonderful day preparing handmade pasta according to the most ancient Salento traditions in our Cooking Class in Lecce. After preparing in the kitchen we ate very well. The environment is truly family and fun. We hope to return soon.

29/10/2024: The spritz promo for €3 on Fridays is interesting, (which is impossible to find outside the Veneto) a place with a big screen to watch various sports, finally not just football.

26/10/2024: I had booked a table (Saturday evening) and once I arrived at the restaurant the waiter stated the absence of electricity, therefore, consequently, the impossibility of having dinner. All this without any kind of warning. Absurd.
