24/10/2025: Food was so good we came back twice! Staff here are super friendly which makes the overall dining experience even better. We had different pasta dishes each day. So happy I got to try the pasta with horse meat and I loved the pasta with tuna. I’ll be thinking about this place for a while and can’t wait to dine here again in the future!

02/11/2025: If you go to Lecce, you absolutely must go to Mamma Rita's! You'll enjoy excellent dishes, and the pizza is a must! The best! Friendliness, professionalism, cleanliness—it has it all. I recommend making a reservation because there are so many people who want to eat there from opening to closing!

14/06/2025: Encantador lugar y ambiente. La comida era tan agradable, Burrata para empezar seguido de costillas de cerdo y espaguetis de tomate muscular. Calidad de la comida excelente, el personal atento y muy amable. Quizás pedí demasiado, pero tener diferentes cosas para probar dio una mejor visión general de la comida. Muy recomendable.

14/06/2025: Location meravigliosa, immersa tra i vigneti, calma e tranquillità. Cibo squisito, piatti ricercati e studiati, sia nei sapori che nelle presentazioni, nonostante alla base ci siano ingredienti semplici e autoctoni della zona, se non di produzione propria. Non parliamo dei vini, Il fiore all’occhiello, tutti di propria produzione e davvero gustosi. Il personale top, gentile e professionale. Un esperienza davvero unica. ❤️

18/10/2025: Our pizzas were delicious and very juicy. Perfect mix of to tomato and cheese. Price was super fair around or even less than 10€ per pizza.

31/08/2025: We had already been to this restaurant with a positive experience but in the change of name and management something did not work, we had asked for a table in a sheltered position due to the presence of elderly people but unfortunately they did not give us a table as per our request, we asked for fried food and they arrived but they were terrible after a long wait we had to call the waiter for the orders, limited menu with little choice, an experience definitely not to be repeated

15/10/2025: We went on a Saturday evening with family, and right at the door, no one greeted us, no one knew where to seat us. The waiters were completely chaotic, awkward, and disorganized, wandering around aimlessly, not knowing which table to take the dishes to. The pizzas arrived cold and with ingredients of dubious freshness: the pancetta in particular smelled and tasted terrible, it seemed stale. When it came time to pay, the owner left us waiting while she chatted calmly with a friend, completely ignoring us. When she finally gave us the receipt, we discovered it wasn't even a receipt, just the order! We went back to ask for an explanation, and, with great feigned surprise, she said she had "made a mistake." Of course, of course. Warning: they don't issue receipts.

15/10/2025: I'm calling because I'd like to celebrate my birthday here with about fifteen friends. I'd like to come around 10:00 PM for a round of drinks, some snacks, and to open the cake (I should point out that the place only allows sitting down after dinner for a drink). The owner tells me that for birthday parties, they usually accept a maximum of eight people, so the only way would be to split us into two or three tables. Unconvinced, and needing to think about it, I don't book right away. I call back and decide to book despite the separate tables, because I frequent the place often and find it unique and (I was wrong) welcoming. But here's where the problems begin: the owner asks me to limit the number of friends, since he rightly believes I shouldn't celebrate with whoever I want because he can't push two tables together. But let's move on to the restrictions: "It's best not to bring a cake that needs to be refrigerated, because we don't have space," "if you come at 10 pm, you have to leave at midnight because we're closing," and last but not least, the gem: "we can't keep your table free until 10 pm, so if you arrive and there are people still sitting, you'll have to wait until they're free. We'll do whatever we can, but try to keep your friends busy." A little confused, I confirm the reservation, but over the next day, I realize how arrogant and unprofessional the owner has been, so I call to cancel and am met with a slammed down phone, accusing me of being rude because I should have called earlier. I should point out that it's impossible to contact the restaurant before 5:30 pm because it's closed and the phone is off, and my call came in around 6 pm, just half an hour after it opened. Before I get hung up on him, I try to point out to the gentleman that I hadn't compromised his reservations in any way, because he himself had reiterated several times, just the day before, that he would NOT keep my table free. In a word: TERRIBLE!!! You've lost a loyal customer...

25/09/2025: We stopped for a lunch snack. The restaurant is in a small square overlooking the entrance to the old town, not crowded with tourists, allowing for a quiet outdoor seating. We ate delicious pucce and frise, neither excellent nor infamous. Service was quick. The price was reasonable; there were three of us. We had pucce, frise, water, and coffee, and spent €17 in total.

10/09/2025: We had breakfast and coffee there almost every day. The service was excellent, and the dishes were very good. I don’t understand the negative reviews. They also speak English without any problem. For me, it was definitely worth visiting.

06/09/2025: I'm sorry to leave this review late, but I couldn't do it sooner. I ordered the gluten-free pizza a long time ago, and it was as good as ever, but there was a serious problem. We asked what was in the vegan cheese, but they certainly didn't tell us everything (unless they also changed the gluten-free label). I had a very severe allergic reaction during the night, and on Sunday morning I had to rush to the emergency room.

26/09/2025: There's no escaping it: fresh, homemade products are worth buying...good, genuine, simple; pre-processed, industrial ones, especially if poorly reheated in the microwave, are almost inedible. It's a shame to find this gap. You have to know how to choose. Otherwise, they're down-to-earth, in a place that's not exactly aesthetically pleasing, but certainly does a lot of business. With a little more research, it could be even more enjoyable to return. Even when it comes to prices, some are out of line, while others are fair, if only for the quality.

20/08/2025: Pizza with thick, dry speck, probably leftovers, and a completely bitter pizza due to the completely burnt base. Not recommended.

06/08/2025: A very positive experience, prices significantly lower than any other pizzeria in Salento, friendly and professional staff, quick ordering and table service, highly recommended. N.B. In addition to everything mentioned above, I'd like to point out that TABARIS doesn't charge a cover charge. Come in large numbers.

06/10/2025: Expensive. They charged us 2.50 euros per person for service, which was practically nonexistent (the lady forgot water and an extra plate; while we were waiting for the bill, she joked with the rest of the staff, even though she knew we were waiting). The food was poor.

24/09/2025: Very tasty food. The pizza is absolutely amazing.

16/09/2025: We went for dinner in mid-September. We had a fish starter and a grilled fish dish. The starters were good, and the main course was decent. Nothing special, but still good, fair enough. The location was nothing special. Prices were average, in my opinion, for what we ate.
